When Su Yaoyao received Xu Xiaoxin's call, she was at a job fair in the talent market.
She held a stack of resumes in her left hand and answered the phone with one hand.
"Yaoyao, where are you now? Tiger has sent some news."
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao was overjoyed. Could it be that Brother Tiger had succeeded?
“I’m looking for a job right now, Xiaoxin. I’ll be right there.”
After hanging up the phone, Su Yaoyao didn't waste a moment and immediately took a taxi to meet up with Xu Xiaoxin.
Upon seeing Su Yaoyao, Xu Xiaoxin's face lit up with joy; "You've finally arrived, Yaoyao! Hurry up, Brother Hu is waiting for you in the private room."
Xu Xiaoxin stopped at the door after leading Su Yaoyao there. "Yaoyao, Tiger said he only wants you to go, so I won't go. Be careful."
Her expression was somewhat uneasy, clearly unsure whether Tiger's decision to have Su Yaoyao meet alone was a good thing or a bad thing.
"Don't worry, it'll be fine."
She patted Xu Xiaoxin's hand reassuringly, then pushed open the door and went inside.
The dimly lit private room was filled with the strong smell of smoke, and a burly man sat on the sofa.
"They're here."
Su Yaoyao's heart tightened slightly; "Brother Tiger, did you get the item?"
Tiger lit a cigarette and took out a black box.
Su Yaoyao recognized it at a glance; it was the box Chen Huimei had mentioned containing her mother's ashes.
"I brought you the things, but it took me a lot of effort to get them. How are you going to thank me?"
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao instinctively felt something was definitely wrong, so she smiled and tried to brush it off.
"Brother Tiger, I've brought all the remaining money today, it's a token of my sincerity."
She placed a bank card on the table, and a cryptic look flashed in Tiger's eyes.
He accepted the bank card, and Tiger placed the box in front of her.
Su Yaoyao felt a surge of excitement, but she managed to restrain herself.
"Thank you, Brother Tiger."
Su Yaoyao carefully held the box in her arms, her eyes slightly moist.
She finally took her mother away from the Su family!
"Brother Tiger, thank you. If there's nothing else, I'll be going now."
Su Yaoyao wanted to leave as soon as she got the ashes, but just as she stood up, Tiger's cold voice came in again.
"You haven't even repaid me yet, and you're already thinking of leaving? How rude of you!"
These words made Su Yaoyao frown; "Brother Hu, didn't I already give you all the money? It's a total of 500,000, not a penny more or less."
Tiger stood up with a sneer; "A mere 500,000? What I want isn't just money!"
As soon as he finished speaking, a wicked glint flashed in his eyes. Su Yaoyao sensed something was wrong and turned to run away, but he grabbed her arm and shoved her backward.
"Why are you running away? Is it too much trouble for you to stay with me all night?"
Su Yaoyao bumped into the wall, her back burning with pain, which made her eyes slightly red.
"You bastard, you're despicable."
Tiger chuckled coldly; "It's your good fortune that I've taken a liking to you."
He approached Su Yaoyao step by step, his hand almost touching her in the next second.
"Bang!"
With a loud bang, the door to the private room was kicked open. Tiger was taken aback. How could they have arrived so quickly? He hadn't even started yet. Why wasn't the boss playing by the rules?
Before he could react, the man who strode forward kicked him to the ground.
"Who...who are you? How dare you ruin my plans!"
Tiger glared at Huo Xiting through gritted teeth, his face full of anger.
The man exuded a powerful and imposing aura, his eyes filled with worry as he looked at Su Yaoyao; "How are you? Are you alright?"
Upon seeing Huo Xiting, Su Yaoyao seemed relieved. She shook her head and hurriedly said, "Huo Xiting, let's go quickly."
This is Tiger's territory; if we don't leave now, it'll be too late.
Xu Xiaoxin, who rushed over upon hearing the commotion, immediately understood what was happening when she saw the scene inside the private room.
"Yaoyao, I'll lead the way for you."
She works here, so naturally she knows it's faster to leave from there.
Huo Xiting didn't even glance at the man on the ground before pulling Su Yaoyao away from the private room.
The three had just stepped out of the bar when a shrill sound rang out.
How did you get here?
Yan Yu's gaze fell on Su Yaoyao and Huo Xiting's clasped hands, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
Su Yaoyao only realized what was happening at that moment and hurriedly let go.
Yan Yu's tone and expression slightly displeased her; "What do I have to do with President Yan here? But you, does Su Qingqing know you're in a place like this?"
A cold glint appeared on the man's face. "So you know this isn't a good place? Su Yaoyao, you're a married woman. To run off with another man, you knocked out your own sister, and now you're brazenly arguing with your lover in public. Don't you have any shame?"
Su Yaoyao sneered inwardly. So that's how Su Qingqing spread rumors about her?
But what did she need to explain to Yan Yu?
If she didn't accept Huo Xiting's help that day, whose would she accept?
Was it the man who kicked her out of the Yu family without even asking what happened, or the arrogant man in front of her who was criticizing her?
"I originally thought the founder of the Royal Court Group was a wise and intelligent person, but after meeting him today, I see he's nothing special. He's so aggressive towards a woman, slandering and humiliating her without any regard for right or wrong. It's unbecoming of him."
Huo Xiting's voice was clear and warm, and his handsome face was expressionless.
Su Yaoyao looked at his back and was somewhat moved. This sight made Yan Yu feel a surge of anger.
His tone then became even more sarcastic and cold: "What, have I wronged her? Or is President Huo no different from Cao Cao, trying to exonerate her?"
