Su Yaoyao was clearly smiling, but there was a strange warmth in her eyes.
She didn't speak, but put her index finger to her lips and made a soft shushing sound.
Besides herself and Old Madam Yu, Su Yaoyao couldn't think of anyone else who loved Yu Chiyan the most, so she had to make a phone call to ask.
Just then, the call was connected, and the aged yet joyful voice of Madam Yu came through.
"Oh my, my darling Yaoyao, what brings you to call me today?"
Su Yaoyao glanced at the man standing beside her before sweetly asking, "Grandma, I called to ask if you bought flowers for Yu Chiyan?"
A hint of doubt flashed across Madam Yu's face; "Flowers? What flowers, Yaoyao? If I'm going to buy flowers, it'll be for my precious Yaoyao. Does that brat Yu Chiyan deserve them?"
Standing to the side, Yu Chiyan thought, "???"
Isn't he his biological grandson?
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao instantly understood that the flowers were not bought by Old Madam Yu. A sense of frustration welled up in her heart, and she answered Old Madam Yu's question accordingly.
"Ah, it's a bouquet of red roses. He said it was from the person who loves him the most. I thought it was from Grandma, but it wasn't."
Madam Yu immediately exploded on the other end of the line; "What the hell? Someone sent flowers to that brat, roses, no less? And said they were the one who loved him the most? Yaoyao, give the phone to Yu Chiyan, I want to ask that rascal what's going on!"
Su Yaoyao turned on speakerphone, and Yu Chiyan could hear everything that Old Madam Yu said. Su Yaoyao glanced at the man's expression out of the corner of her eye and spoke hesitantly.
"No need, Grandma. Chi Yan is so outstanding, it's normal for him to have some admirers. I'll ask him about it myself later."
The old lady's voice was very irritable; "No, Yaoyao, quickly give him the phone."
Su Yaoyao then reluctantly handed the phone to Yu Chiyan.
Yu Chiyan looked at the expression on her face; "..."
This little girl is just angry and wants to use her grandma's mouth to scold him, isn't she?
She's pretending to be in such a difficult position; it must be really tough on her.
Yu Chiyan answered the phone; "Grandma."
The phone was only held to his ear for a second before Yu Chiyan took it away; the voice was so loud that it almost deafened him.
Su Yaoyao glanced at the roses still lying on the table, ignored what Old Madam Yu was saying about Yu Chiyan, and went upstairs.
After entering the master bedroom, Su Yaoyao took a set of pajamas and went into the bathroom.
...
Downstairs, Yu Chiyan was still being criticized.
He rubbed his temples, his tone helpless; "I really don't know who sent it. Don't worry, I will definitely make sure Jiang Chen finds out the truth."
The old lady Yu's tone was somewhat stern: "Let me tell you, no matter who gave it to you, you have to make things clear with that person. Don't let them get entangled with you. If you upset Yaoyao, I will kick you out of the Yu family."
Yu Chiyan twitched his lips speechlessly; "Grandma, I am your real grandson."
The old lady's tone was filled with selflessness: "Isn't it enough that I'm willing to put aside my own family for the greater good?"
Yu Chiyan; "..."
"Okay, you're old, you can say whatever you want."
The old lady Yu was holding her phone, almost jumping up in anger at her unruly grandson.
"You unfilial grandson! If you don't handle this matter properly, I'll never forgive you!"
After saying this, Madam Yu hung up the phone immediately.
Upon seeing this, the maid stepped forward and cautiously spoke up.
"Sir, what should we do with these flowers?"
Yu Chiyan's gaze fell on the bright red roses on the table, and something flashed quickly in his eyes.
"Just take it outside and throw it away. If this happens again, just refuse to accept it."
The maid obeyed the instructions, carrying the flowers towards the door, and nodded upon hearing this.
"Okay, I'll remember that, sir."
"Um."
Yu Chiyan replied indifferently, without glancing at the flower again, and turned to make a phone call to Jiang Chen.
"Go and find out who delivered the roses to the Jinyu Garden Villa today."
Jiang Chen's voice suddenly became extremely shocked: "Someone sent flowers to Madam?"
Yu Chiyan remained silent for a long while; "Someone delivered it to me."
Jiang Chen held his phone, a troubled look on his face.
There are quite a few people who like their master, so it's not easy to find out!
But what he's more interested in now is whether his wife is jealous or whether she's making things difficult for her master.
Jiang Chen, mustering his courage, was about to ask a few gossipy questions when his phone suddenly went dead.
Jiang Chen; "..."
...
Yu Chiyan hung up the phone and went upstairs to the master bedroom.
Su Yaoyao had finished showering and was sitting on the sofa, wearing a black silk camisole, drying her wet hair.
Noticing the man enter, Su Yaoyao didn't even raise her head or say a word.
The next second, her hand was suddenly empty; the hair dryer had been snatched away by the man.
Just as Su Yaoyao was about to get up, a pair of hands suddenly appeared on her shoulders, pressing her back down onto the sofa, rendering her unable to move.
"I've already asked Jiang Chen to investigate."
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao pursed her lips but remained silent, though she no longer insisted on getting up.
Yu Chiyan smiled, turned the hairdryer back on, and worked his way down from the roots to the ends with exceptional skill.
These are techniques I've honed by blow-drying her hair every night. The airflow is just right, the man's touch is just right, and he even massages her scalp from time to timeāit feels incredibly comfortable.
By the time her hair was dry, Su Yaoyao was almost asleep, but Yu Chiyan felt hot all over while drying his hair.
From his angle, he could quickly see the woman's voluptuous figure, especially since she had chosen a sexy black nightgown that accentuated her fair, snow-white skin, as flawless as milk.
