Sister Wang asked in surprise, "President Su, are you trying to use public opinion to suppress the Li family?"
At this point, his brows immediately furrowed: "But doing that will affect your own reputation."
Su Yaoyao smiled and said, "Take this and talk to President Li. We don't necessarily have to fight to the death. We can still make a deal."
At this point, Su Yaoyao paused; "If you're worried about my reputation, there's no need to worry. He didn't succeed. If he succeeds in suppressing the Li family through public opinion, Su's public relations department can still portray me as a successful businesswoman who doesn't bow to power and relies on her own wisdom and ability to turn defeat into victory. What loss would I suffer?"
Hearing this, Sister Wang couldn't help but give Su Yaoyao a thumbs up.
"President Su, brilliant! That was a brilliant move!"
Even Sister Wang had a misconception at this moment, as if Su Yaoyao's approach to Li Muran was all part of her pre-planned scheme.
Li Muran was the one who shot himself in the foot!
"President Su, I'll go and take care of it right away."
Su Yaoyao nodded; "Mmm..."
Sister Wang picked up the videotape, pushed open the door, and was about to leave when Su Yaoyao's voice suddenly rang out from behind her again.
"Oh, right, Sister Wang."
Sister Wang paused, turned to look at Su Yaoyao, and looked at her with some doubt.
"What's wrong, Mr. Su? Is there anything else?"
Su Yaoyao's pretty face was filled with seriousness, and her eyes were full of earnestness as she looked at Sister Wang.
"Sister Wang, will you leave the Su family business?"
Upon hearing this, Sister Wang was momentarily stunned, but she quickly realized why Su Yaoyao had asked this.
She was afraid that her relationship with Yu Chiyan would affect whether she could continue to stay in the Su family.
Thinking of this, Sister Wang turned around and looked at Su Yaoyao with a serious expression.
"President Su, from the first day I joined Su's Group, President Yu told me that I could only be a member of Su's Group."
In other words, as long as the Su family exists, she exists.
Upon hearing the words "President Yu," Su Yaoyao's emotions clearly began to falter.
She waved her hand, her voice sounding tired, but also relieved to know that Sister Wang wouldn't leave.
"I understand, you can go and get back to work."
"Yes, Mr. Su."
Before leaving, Sister Wang closed the door behind her.
The office fell silent, and Su Yaoyao stared at the closed door, her eyes filled with contemplation.
...
afternoon.
The sky over the southern part of the city was covered by dark clouds, and soon a torrential downpour began.
Su Yaoyao stood at the company entrance trying to hail a taxi, but because of the torrential rain, she had been waiting for more than half an hour without anyone accepting her fare.
As the employees were picked up one by one, Su Yaoyao was soon left alone on the scene.
She looked up at the sky; the rain didn't seem to be going to stop.
However, just then, her phone suddenly rang. Looking at the familiar number, Su Yaoyao thought for a moment and then hung up.
Hearing the busy tone on the phone, Madam Yu's face showed a hint of disappointment, and then she turned her angry gaze to Yu Chiyan.
"It's all your fault! Now Yaoyao won't even answer my calls!"
Hearing the old man's words, Yu Chiyan frowned slightly, glanced at the rain outside, picked up his coat, and was about to go out.
"I'm going to find her."
Madam Yu hurriedly stopped him; "The rain is too heavy now, can't you wait a while before going?"
Yu Chiyan ignored these words and left with his car keys.
Watching his retreating figure, Madam Yu sighed silently.
"Why didn't you do this sooner? What's the use of panicking now?"
Thinking this, the old lady's expression became even more helpless.
She already knew why Yu Chiyan had disappeared for three days.
She never expected that the girl who saved her grandson was still alive, and that she had lost both legs because of Yu Chiyan.
It was Yu Chiyan's responsibility to care for Se Se; he couldn't ignore it, but what about Yao Yao...?
Thinking of Su Yaoyao gave Old Madam Yu an even bigger headache.
...
Su Yaoyao couldn't hail a taxi, and the rain was getting heavier and heavier, with the water on the road almost reaching above a person's ankles.
Seeing that it was getting dark, Su Yaoyao had no choice but to turn around and head back to the company. It seemed that she would have to make do at the company for the night.
However, a quick glance out of the corner of her eye caused Su Yaoyao's gaze to freeze.
A familiar black Maybach slowly approached, its headlights shining through the thick rain and onto Su Yaoyao. She unconsciously squinted, a hint of panic gradually creeping into her dark pupils. As she turned to leave, the man had already gotten out of the car, wading through ankle-deep rain, and reached Su Yaoyao in a few steps.
"Yaoyao..."
Her wrist was held, and the warmth of his palm was exceptionally intense, yet it could not warm Su Yaoyao's heart.
"President Yu, you're back! It's been a long time!"
Su Yaoyao turned to look at him, her clear, cold voice trembling slightly.
Yu Chiyan was somewhat afraid to look directly into her bright black eyes, his heart filled with tension, and his voice was strained as he spoke.
"Yaoyao, you..."
Su Yaoyao broke free from his hand and looked at him with deep eyes.
"Mr. Yu, you don't need to say anything more. I won't bother you anymore. And please, don't show up in front of me again."
Upon hearing this, Yu Chiyan's expression immediately became agitated. He grabbed the woman's arm, a hint of panic in his eyes, befitting a traitor.
"Su Yaoyao, no, listen to me. I didn't leave you that day on purpose. I thought I could make it back. What kind of compensation do you want? Tell me and I'll give you anything. But this is the only thing I can't do: don't let me appear in front of you."
