After taking a shower, Su Yaoyao was about to go to bed when there was a knock on the door. Her heart skipped a beat, and she asked a question.
Who's outside?
After waiting for a long time without hearing anyone outside speak, Su Yaoyao had no choice but to go forward and look out through the peephole, but still found nothing.
Driven by curiosity, she opened the door a crack.
A square box, wrapped tightly, was placed by the door.
Her information was also on it, and Su Yaoyao was stunned.
She didn’t remember shopping online, so how did a package end up in her house?
After carrying the items inside, Su Yaoyao took a pair of scissors and cut open the outer tape, revealing the black box inside.
The box looks to be of good quality, and the lid is tied with a lace bow.
Su Yaoyao untied the cloth strip and then opened the box.
The moment the box was opened, a stench like rotting flesh hit her, and Su Yaoyao covered her nose and immediately gagged.
When she saw the sticky, rotten flesh in the box, she felt a chill run down her spine. There were also some white, stringy things wriggling on the rotten flesh.
"ah!"
Su Yaoyao closed her eyes and ran to the bathroom to vomit violently.
Although she didn't know what the lump of rotting flesh was, she knew that the white objects were maggots.
Thinking of this, Su Yaoyao gagged again. Perhaps due to the fright, her stomach also began to ache slightly.
Su Yaoyao broke out in a cold sweat as she took out her phone and called Huo Xiting.
Huo Xiting was extremely surprised to receive Su Yaoyao's call at this hour; "Yaoyao, what's wrong?"

"Huo... Huo Xiting, could you come to my house? Someone sent something to my house."

After saying this, the man put on his suit jacket, turned around, and left.
About half an hour later, Su Yaoyao's door was knocked on time, and her cell phone rang.
"Yaoyao, I'm outside, open the door."
Upon hearing that Huo Xiting had arrived, Su Yaoyao grabbed two towels and ran out of the bathroom.
The moment he opened the door, Huo Xiting frowned immediately; "What's that smell?"
Su Yaoyao covered her nose with a towel, then handed the other piece to Huo Xiting.
Huo Xiting reached out and took the towel, mimicking Su Yaoyao's gesture, covering his mouth and nose. When he saw the things on the table, a cold glint flashed in his eyes.
Huo Xiting had seen it all; this little thing was nothing to frighten him.
It's just a cat that's been skinned alive, who knows how long it's been dead, and it's covered in maggots. No wonder girls would be terrified if they saw this.
Huo Xiting ignored everything he was told, directly put the lid on the box, and then wrapped it in a bag.
"I'm going downstairs to throw these things away. You wait for me here."
Su Yaoyao reached out and grabbed his clothes, shaking her head; "No."
Helpless, Huo Xiting could only take her downstairs with him.
After throwing the things into the trash can, Huo Xiting finally had time to comfort Su Yaoyao.
"Don't worry, I've thrown everything away."
Su Yaoyao's hands were still trembling, and the fear in her eyes had not yet faded.
Huo Xiting couldn't resist and gently hugged her.
"Don't be afraid, it's alright, I'm here, aren't I?"
Huo Xiting's hug made Su Yaoyao unable to hold back her tears any longer.
"Huo... Huo Xiting, who do you think I have such a deep grudge against that they would try to scare me like this?"
Huo Xiting gently patted the woman's back, his voice gentle, but his eyes were extremely cold.
"Don't worry, no matter who it is, I will definitely find out who this person is."
When the two returned, the stench still lingered in the living room. Su Yaoyao couldn't stand it and gagged again.
Upon seeing this, Huo Xiting immediately suggested, "Come stay at my place. The guest rooms are all cleaned up. I don't feel comfortable letting you stay alone since I haven't been able to find out who left your things at your door."
Su Yaoyao was indeed very scared, so she did not refuse Huo Xiting's objection and agreed to go to his place.
What the two were unaware of was that they had been followed ever since they left the residential area.

The next day.
Huo Xiting dropped Su Yaoyao off downstairs at the Su Corporation building.
"What happened last night is already under investigation, and we'll have the results soon, so don't worry. I'll drive you to and from get off work these next few days."
Su Yaoyao nodded; "Thank you for your trouble."
Huo Xiting smiled and shook his head; "Go to work, call me if you need anything."
"Um."
Su Yaoyao turned and went back to the company. Huo Xiting only left after Su Yaoyao's figure disappeared from sight.
Not far away, a Maybach sped past, the people inside keeping their eyes straight ahead, but taking everything in with their peripheral vision.
Sese turned her head and glanced at Yu Chiyan; "Chiyan, did you break up with Miss Su because of that man? Who is he? He and Miss Su seemed to have a very good relationship."
Upon hearing Sese's words, Yu Chiyan snapped his laptop shut and glanced at Sese expressionlessly.
"When did you become like other women, gossiping?"
Sese's face turned pale instantly; "Chi...Chi Yan, I'm sorry, if you don't like it, I won't ask anymore."
Realizing his tone had been a bit harsh, Yu Chiyan offered a soft explanation.
"Now that I've decided to let go, I don't want to discuss anything about her anymore."
Sese lowered her head; "I understand, Brother Chi Yan."
