Su Yaoyao could refuse Yu Chiyan with a clear conscience, but she couldn't face Old Madam Yu with a straight face.
So, after the old lady Yu personally called to invite her, she still appeared at the Yu family's dining table the next afternoon.
"You actually fooled this old woman for ten years, Yu Chiyan, you're something else! Do you even respect me anymore?!"
What was supposed to be a simple meal turned into a denunciation session for Yu Chiyan when the old lady saw his handsome face and intact legs.
After the old lady finished scolding, Yu Chiyan finally spoke up: "I'm sorry, Grandma."
Madam Yu's eyes were a little red, half from joy and half from anger.
She glared fiercely at Yu Chiyan before turning her gaze to Su Yaoyao's face.
"Yaoyao, why have you lost so much weight lately? You must be just like me, angry with that jerk. You should yell at him!"
Looking at Su Yaoyao's thin face, Old Madam Yu felt a pang of heartache, but then blamed Yu Chiyan, pointing at him and telling him to scold her.
The man glanced at Su Yaoyao, and seeing her indifferent and aloof demeanor, he gritted his teeth inwardly.
"Grandma, she's on a diet lately."
Upon hearing this, Madam Yu spat out a curse.
"Pah! It must be because you treated Yaoyao badly. I don't know why you locked Yaoyao up last time. I'm warning you, Yu Chiyan, this kind of thing must never happen again."
A fleeting look of unease crossed Su Yaoyao's face. She lowered her head and remained silent.
The matter that Madam Yu mentioned was nothing more than her attacking Yu Chiyan and then being imprisoned in the Golden Imperial Garden.
She acted too impulsively in that incident, but Yu Chiyan didn't blame her, and it seems he even kept it from Old Madam Yu.

"Okay, then Grandma will wait for you."
Su Yaoyao got into the car and gave the old lady a gentle smile; "Okay, Grandma, you should go back quickly too, it's windy outside."
Yu Chiyan's gaze swept over Su Yaoyao's profile and landed on the old lady's face; "Grandma, we're leaving."
After saying that, he started the car and drove away.
Just after the two left, Aunt Zhang returned with Tuanzi after getting her vaccinations.
The little creature is chubby, pure white, and has bright, lively cat eyes; it's incredibly cute.
"Madam, has the young master left? So quickly?"
The old lady reached out and hugged Tuanzi, who stuck out its pink tongue and licked the old lady's palm while meowing.
“Young people like them have their own things to do, how can they spend all day with an old woman like me?”
"You're right, right, Tuanzi?"
The old lady held the little dumpling and patted its head.
The little dumpling licked the old man's palm and meowed a few times, as if in response.
Aunt Zhang watched the interaction between the cat and the person, her eyes slightly deep, lost in thought.

"When are you planning to tell Grandma that we're divorced?"
Yu Chiyan kept his eyes fixed straight ahead, and when he heard Su Yaoyao's words, he didn't even flinch.
"Are you in such a hurry to sever ties with me?"
Yu Chiyan slammed on the brakes, his sharp gaze fixed on her.
She was the one who didn't want a divorce back then, and now she's the one who can't wait to escape. Why should she be able to do whatever she wants? Is he Yu Chiyan's wife someone who can do whatever she wants and just quit whenever she wants?
Su Yaoyao forced herself to remain calm, met his gaze without flinching.
"Mr. Yu, now that you're divorced, I'll eventually remarry and have more children. I can't keep playing this game of deceiving my family with you. What do you say?"
A cold glint appeared in the man's eyes. He raised his hand and pinched Su Yaoyao's chin, forcing her to look up and meet his gaze.
"Get married and have children? Who do you want to marry, and who do you want to have children with? Why don't you give me one first?"
The pain in her chin brought tears to her eyes, and the man's words made her feel especially humiliated.
