The Yu family's old residence.
Madam Yu stood at the villa's main entrance, holding a snow-white baby.
When the old man saw the black luxury car approaching from not far away, a hint of excitement flashed in his eyes.
"Quick! Look, Yao Yao and the others are here!"
She held Aunt Zhang's hand, her expression joyful, her words filled with excitement.
Aunt Zhang carefully helped her up; "Madam, I saw it, please calm down and don't get agitated."
Madam Yu refused to listen to her, handed the dozing dumpling to Aunt Zhang, and rushed towards the parking lot.
"Madam, slow down!"
Aunt Zhang was jogging after him.
Su Yaoyao saw this scene from afar through the car window, and her eyes reddened slightly.
As soon as she got out of the car, Old Madam Yu pulled her into a tight embrace; "Yaoyao, my good child, you're finally home!"
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao could no longer suppress the bitterness in her heart. She greedily felt the warmth emanating from the old man, her dry voice trembling slightly.
"Grandma, I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I haven't visited you in so long, I'm so sorry, Grandma..."
The old lady patted her back and comforted her gently, "Good child, Grandma knows what you're worried about. Grandma has never blamed you. I'm really happy that you and Chi Yan are doing well."
Madam Yu's words deeply moved Su Yaoyao, and her guilt grew stronger. Her grandmother had been so good to her, yet she had caused the old woman sadness time and time again. In order to sever ties with Yu Chiyan, she had been so heartless as to never visit him in the hospital. Yet this old woman spoke words of understanding for her. Su Yaoyao reached out to wipe away the tears from the corners of her eyes, but the more she wiped, the more tears flowed.
"Okay, stop crying, or dinner will get cold!"
With red eyes, Madam Yu wiped away Su Yaoyao's tears.
Aunt Zhang came over at this moment, and seeing the two hugging each other, she couldn't help but speak.
"Madam, Madam, please go inside and have your meal first."
Su Yaoyao tried hard to suppress her emotions and forced a smile; "Okay, Grandma, let's go in."
"Okay, okay, I had the kitchen make a lot of your favorite dishes today, Yaoyao, eat more tonight."
"Don't worry, Grandma, I'll eat your share later..."
The grandmother and granddaughter supported each other as they walked away, followed by Aunt Zhang holding the baby.
Yu Chiyan, carrying gifts in his hand, said, "..."
I touched the roof of my mouth with the tip of my tongue. This old house is better left unvisited!
This meal is better left uneaten!
Yu Chiyan, carrying the gift Su Yaoyao bought for the old lady, entered his own house and sat down at the dining table. The old lady seemed to only notice him now and immediately glared at him.
Why are you back?
Yu Chiyan's heart skipped a beat, and he glanced at Su Yaoyao's gloating face.
"I'll take her."
Su Yaoyao was speechless. If she could, she wouldn't need it!
Upon hearing Yu Chiyan's words, Madam Yu's expression softened somewhat.
"The person has been delivered; you can leave now."
Yu Chiyan; "..."
Su Yaoyao sat obediently next to the old lady the whole time. Seeing Yu Chiyan's ugly expression, she felt secretly pleased and placed the soup she had served next to the old lady.
"Grandma, Aunt Zhang said this soup was specially made for you. Please drink some while it's hot."
As soon as she faced Su Yaoyao, Old Madam Yu immediately changed her expression, smiling with exceptional kindness.
"Oh, Yaoyao is such a good child, unlike some people who are only good at annoying others and have no other use."
When Madam Yu said this, she also gave Yu Chiyan a fierce glare.
I doubt anyone other than Old Madam Yu would dare to say that Yu Chiyan is useless.
Yu Chiyan knew that the old lady was unhappy with him because of the trouble he had caused, so he didn't dare to say anything, fearing that the old lady would bring it up later and he would have to face a cold and indifferent Su Yaoyao again.
"Grandma, I..."
"What do you mean, 'you'? Yaoyao has already been delivered. You'd better get out of here and don't even think about mooching a meal at my old house!"
The old lady Yu rudely dismissed them, and Yu Chiyan turned his gaze back to Su Yaoyao.
However, the little woman didn't even roll her eyes at him, and continued to eat heartily. Yu Chiyan felt a stuffy sensation in his chest, as if a ball of cotton had been stuffed inside.
He gritted his teeth secretly, his face tense, and left the Yu family's old mansion with a chilling aura.
Watching the man's departing figure, Su Yaoyao felt incredibly satisfied.
It seems that living in the old house isn't such a bad thing. With Grandma around, Yu Chiyan can't even get a meal at the old house, let alone do anything to her. Thinking of this, a rare mischievous smile appeared on her face.
Old Master Yu caught a glimpse of Su Yaoyao's expression out of the corner of his eye, and a helpless yet doting smile appeared on his face.
The meal was relaxed and comfortable. After the grandmother and granddaughter finished eating, Su Yaoyao personally put the gift she brought on the old lady's head. The old lady smiled like a child who had received candy, and kept talking to Su Yaoyao. The snow-white ball of fur spun around at their feet, making meowing noises, rolling around from time to time, and rubbing against the old lady's trouser legs. The living room was lively and full of joy.
...
Hospital.
"You have no idea how much Yu Chiyan protects that woman. He even had me kicked out, and now I'm forbidden from shopping at L Jewelry!"
Zhang Xiaolan stood by Su Qingqing's bedside, her face full of complaints and humiliation.
Su Qingqing lay on the hospital bed, one hand gripping the sheet tightly, her eyes filled with coldness.
"Is that the most important thing? The important thing is that my entire plan was ruined by Yu Chiyan's words!"
She glared angrily at Zhang Xiaolan.
