"What's wrong? Why are you looking for Yu Hui?" Pan Tiezhu stepped forward.
Old Wang sized up Pan Tiezhu from all angles, then narrowed his eyes.
Is this the afterglow?
It doesn't look like it...
These past few days, he's been hearing from his son and neighbors that Yu Hui is not only a good cook, but also handsome and talented.
Does this person even deserve the title?
Old Wang squinted: "I heard from my fellow villagers that the food here is delicious, so I wanted to come and try it."
These past few days, when he goes to play cards, his card-playing friends occasionally buy some of Yu Hui's braised food. Every time his card-playing friends ask him if he wants some, he shakes his head.
It wasn't that Lao Wang didn't want to eat, he was just embarrassed.
I saw it and I was really craving it.
No.
He happened to have some free time today, so he came over.
"Oh~~~" Pan Tiezhu nodded, relieved to see that Lao Wang wasn't there to cause trouble.
Old Wang ordered a duck head, a serving of duck intestines, and a serving of beer-braised duck.
After paying, he realized that the person resting on the lounge chair was Yu Hui, and the two people he had spoken to were his employees.
Old Wang glanced at the afterglow and sighed inwardly, "Broad shoulders, slender waist, sword-like eyebrows, and bright eyes—so handsome!"
"The beer duck is made to order, it should take about twenty minutes. Why don't you sit down and rest for a while?" Yu Hui said.
"Okay, thank you!" Old Wang nodded.
He took the duck head and duck intestines from Yu Hui, bought two bottles of chilled beer from a nearby convenience store, and found a shady spot to sit down.
This location is great; you can see the sunset while cooking.
Yu Hui had already blanched the duck meat and was now stir-frying it in a wok.
Stir-fry the duck meat until the surface oil sizzles and releases oil, then add ginger slices and star anise and stir-fry.
Watching Yu Hui flip the wok, Old Wang muttered to himself:
"This guy's good, his technique is impressive!"
After sighing, he opened the beer bottle, picked up the duck head, and started gnawing on it.
The meat on the duck head is very tender, melting in your mouth with just a gentle touch. It's both numbing and spicy, making it incredibly satisfying. It's perfect for groups of friends to gather, chat, and drink.
"Mmm, it's so delicious! Just one bite and the aroma fills my mouth!" Old Wang's eyes widened, and he immediately buried himself in the food, thoroughly satisfied.
Twenty minutes later.
Pan Tiezhu walked over carrying a large plate of beer-braised duck, while Ye Yiqiu behind him held rice and chopsticks.
"Please enjoy your meal—" the two said in unison.
Old Wang smiled and nodded, thanked him, and prepared to start eating.
There weren't enough duck heads and intestines to go around; he finished them all in less than five minutes.
Old Wang has been waiting for this beer-braised duck for ages!
Without thinking twice, he picked up a piece of duck meat and put it in his mouth.
"Ugh, it's so hot, it's burning me..."
Old Wang stir-fried the duck meat in his mouth again to force it to cool down, and then began to chew.
Beer duck is not difficult to make, but it is not easy either; very few people can make it well.
Duck meat is relatively dry and fibrous, not as firm and chewy as chicken. It is also considered to have a cooling effect and a stronger fishy smell.
If not handled carefully, the whole pot of beer-braised duck might become inedible.
Wang Yang once made this dish at home.
The fishy smell was handled very well, and the taste was also good, but compared to what Yu Hui made, the difference was still quite obvious.
Yu Hui's beer-braised duck is spicy, fragrant, tender, and flavorful.
Not only does it have no fishy smell, but it also has a faint malty aroma, which is so fragrant that it makes your mouth water.
In the sweltering summer, enjoy delicious beer-braised duck with peanuts and ice-cold beer, gazing at the beautiful scenery from the mountaintop while feeling the cool breeze.
Absolutely fantastic!
......
After finishing making the beer-braised duck, Yu Hui lay on a cool chair, enjoying the breeze, and looked up at the sky.
The sound of wind rustling through the leaves could be heard from time to time, birds flew across the sky, and white clouds hung high in the air. The sky was so blue.
"So beautiful~~~" Yu Hui couldn't help but exclaim. "Indeed, only those with leisure time have the time to appreciate such beauty!"
A sliver of sunlight pierced through the treetops and fell on his face. He shielded his eyes with his hand and casually put on sunglasses.
I closed my eyes, and the chirping of cicadas reached my ears, but soon disappeared.
As the afterglow gently listened to the beauty of nature, it unknowingly fell asleep.
I was woken up again by a phone call.
Beep beep beep—
Yu Hui rubbed his sleepy eyes and said weakly, "Hey, what's up?"
On the other end of the phone, Xiong Bowen spoke.
"Mr. Yu, have you seen the comments under your account? What's going on?"
"What's wrong?" Yu Hui was a little confused.
"Hey, I just finished watching a movie and went to a restaurant to eat. I just sat down and saw that your comment section was flooded. I was just about to ask you what happened!" Xiong Bowen said.
"My comments section?" Yu Hui looked completely bewildered. "Wait, let me take a look first."
He minimized the call screen, opened his Douyin videos, and started scrolling through the comments.
The comments in the past few days have been normal, and the comment section has been harmonious.
Some were foodies, their mouths watering; some were simply fans of Yu Hui's looks; and some kept praising Yu Hui's cooking skills...
However.
The comments section took a sudden turn after the latest chapter was released.
[Seaside Breeze: Damn, this is the first time I've truly experienced the power of the internet. I watched this blogger's video a few days ago and was so hungry, so I went to Chuanshan, but the food was...indescribable!]
[Yaoyao: It was awful, I'm never going there again!]
[My Yasuo is awesome: What garbage! All they do is market themselves. They should use that energy to improve the food quality. The braised pork I've ever had is rotten!]
