Food street.
In front of the Yu Hui stall.
Pan Tiezhu strode over, with Ye Yiqiu following behind, carrying two boxed lunches in her hands.
“Brother Yu Hui, I’ve found it!” Pan Tiezhu said.
"How is it?" Yu Hui sat up from the lounge chair, looking at him expectantly.
Pan Tiezhu recounted the entire incident.
"Qiuqiu and I ran into a shirtless man with a dragon tattooed on his stomach soliciting customers on the street. He asked us if we wanted boxed lunches, so Qiuqiu and I went with him."
“When we were walking on the street, the man said that you were his cousin and that he had a lot of the boxed lunches you made. So Qiuqiu and I specially bought two to take away.”
"You didn't reveal your identity, did you?" Yu Hui asked.
Pan Tiezhu shook his head. "No, I just took some photos, recorded a short audio clip, and then came back with my lunchbox."
After saying that, he opened the two boxed meals, one with braised pork and the other with stir-fried pork with chili peppers.
Yu Hui picked up his chopsticks and took a bite. The braised pork was unusually salty, the chili peppers in the stir-fried pork were too raw, and the pork was overcooked. It was worse than the boxed meals at tourist attractions, train stations, and high-speed rail stations.
No wonder those tourists complained.
"Brother Yu Hui, what should we do now?" Pan Tiezhu asked, frowning.
"Let me think about it."
Yu Hui stroked his chin, looking thoughtful.
It depends.
This is what unscrupulous merchants do: impersonate others for profit.
On the surface, the case appears to have been solved, but in reality, it's not that simple.
According to Pan Tiezhu's description, Yu Hui knew very well that he did not know this shirtless man at all, let alone have any business relationship with him.
Simply relying on buying boxed lunches.
Although I didn't earn that much, I could still rip people off.
After all, tourists don't have many options.
They sell boxed lunches in the scenic area just to fill their stomachs; as for the taste, they don't have high hopes.
after all.
You know what they sell at tourist attractions.
There's no need for that shirtless guy to pretend to be his cousin.
So why did he do that?
After much contemplation, Yu Hui came up with a reason.
That means someone is transferring benefits to him, and that person must be his competitor!
But who is this person who is competing with him?
......
A shift in perspective.
Liu Qing crossed his legs, took a big bite of watermelon, and made a phone call.
On the other end of the phone was the shirtless guy.
His name is Liu Liang.
"Hey, what's up?"
“Cousin, that kid seems to have noticed. Be careful these next few days, don’t let him catch you,” Liu Qing said.
"Don't worry, I have good judgment. I only rip off tourists, not locals. Even if he were a god, he couldn't catch me," Liu Liang said confidently.
"That's good. His comment section has been flooded with comments saying he's a liar these past few days, and some marketing accounts are stirring up trouble. With such a lot of public pressure, he probably won't be able to hold on for long."
Liu Qing laughed heartily and continued, "Once he falls from power, my business will definitely be the best on the food street, and you won't lose a single penny of your money!"
Liu Liang was delighted to hear this: "Great! I'll follow you, cousin, to make money!"
"Don't worry about that, my cousin is definitely reliable!"
After hanging up the phone, Liu Qing spat.
He muttered to himself, "Pah! I'm already being generous by sending you money, and you expect me to make you rich? You're dreaming!"
"When I get rich, the first person I'll kick will be you!"
Liu Qing threw the watermelon rind on the ground, then opened Yu Hui's Douyin account. Seeing the increasingly heated argument in the comments section, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"Hahaha--"
"Yu Hui, oh Yu Hui, I never thought you'd end up like this!"
"Uncle, you can't litter!"
Liu Qing came to her senses and, seeing a six or seven-year-old child pointing at the watermelon rind she had just thrown away, repeated:
"Uncle, you can't litter!"
What if someone slips on a watermelon rind and falls?
Liu Qing frowned deeply: "Get lost, little brat! Don't get in my way, or I'll call your mom to beat you up!"
The child snorted, muttered something, and walked away.
Watching the child's departing figure, Liu Qing snorted coldly, "Finally gone, what a nuisance!"
After saying that, Liu Qing looked down at her phone.
After reading through Yu Hui's comments section, he felt incredibly satisfied.
The sun is high in the sky, and the summer heat is intense.
Liu Qing's stall doesn't have towering trees, and he can't afford to buy a portable air conditioner.
I could only survive the entire summer with the help of a fan.
He was so engrossed in browsing Yu Hui's comments section that he only realized he was drenched in sweat when he came to his senses.
"Damn it, why is this weather so hot!"
Liu Qing complained, got up, picked up the fan, and fanned himself vigorously. He felt a little cooler, but he still felt something was missing.
After a few seconds of silence, he muttered to himself, "I can't take it anymore, I'm going to buy a lemon tea to cool off!"
He walked in the direction of Ye Qian.
I'm going to buy a cup of lemon tea and tease my "fat wife" Ye Qian a little more.
He hadn't taken more than a few steps when he suddenly felt his right foot slip.
"thump!"
With a loud crash, he fell to the ground.
"Ouch~ my butt, it hurts, it hurts so much!"
Liu Qing groaned a few times on the ground before staggering to his feet.
Looking at the watermelon rind on the ground, he barked helplessly, "Which heartless bastard put that on the ground...?"
Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly remembered something.
The watermelon rind on the ground looks like the one I threw away?
