Ren Yaohua suddenly turned around and saw Lei Ting, the head of the Lei family.

Zeng Kui was not afraid of those wearing shoes when he was barefoot, but Ren Yaohua had to consider her mother and sister's reputation in front of Madam Xu and the other ladies.
If she really quarreled with Zeng Kui here, she would probably have no choice but to marry him as Zeng Kui said.

Lei Ting nodded and looked back at Zeng Kui who followed them out of the alley, smiled at them and turned away. He seemed to be thinking about something. There was a deeper meaning in Zeng Kui's smile.
Lei Ting thought for a moment and reminded Ren Yaohua, "Miss Ren San, it would be best if you bring a few more maids with you when you go out. Although your maids are loyal to their masters, they might not be able to withstand some strong men with bad intentions."
