As soon as she opened her eyes, Ren Yaoqi saw Xiao Jingxi sitting at the head of the bed, staring at her. She felt a warmth in her palm, and her hand was held by Xiao Jingxi.
Ren Yaoqi still felt tired, but she still tried to smile at Xiao Jingxi: "Why are you sitting here? I'm fine. I'm just a little tired."
Xiao Jingxi gently brushed away the hair that was stuck to her cheek: "Well, I just came in too. Sit here for a while."

Xiao Jingxi gently placed the swaddling clothes beside Ren Yaoqi, and sat down on the edge of the bed. He whispered, "It's still wrinkled and ugly now. Mother said it will look better in a few days."
Ren Yaoqi couldn't help but laugh when she saw Xiao Jingxi trying to comfort her. She turned her head to look at her son. The little guy had his eyes closed and his face was a little red. His hair was sparse. He really didn't look very good. And because he was too young, she couldn't tell who his facial features looked like.
"Do you want a hug?" Xiao Jingxi asked in a low voice when he saw Ren Yaoqi's eyes were fixed on his son's not-so-good-looking little face.
Ren Yaoqi shook his head and whispered, "Let him sleep. I don't have much strength right now."
Xiao Jingxi was just talking casually and didn't say anything after hearing it. The couple, one lying down and the other sitting, both looked at the sleeping child, smiling at each other from time to time. Xiao Jingxi always held Ren Yaoqi's hand.
The next day, Ren Shimin, Li, and Ren Yaohua and his wife came.
Mrs. Li was so happy to see her little grandson that she kept saying "Buddha bless you, Buddha bless you" and refused to let go of the child.
Ren Shimin frowned and looked carefully at the child in Li's arms, and commented reservedly, "She looks quite smart and clever."
Mrs. Li also looked down at the child, then at Ren Shimin. The child's facial features hadn't fully developed yet, and he had been sleeping with his eyes closed.
