Before he could finish speaking, a commotion came from outside.
Li Susu quickly hung up the video call and rushed outside to check the situation. "What happened?"
She was really afraid that the murderer wouldn't give up and would attack again, so she sent a message to the villa's housekeeper, instructing him to increase security and asking them to send her all the surveillance footage from earlier.
She wanted to see just who was so audacious as to attack her!
Unexpectedly, they saw Fu Xingzhou struggling to put on his clothes, with the first-aid kit lying on the ground before he could put it back.

I was disturbed by Qin Chuan at the time, and later went to the hospital. I didn't eat anything for almost half a day.

The sounds reached Fu Xingzhou's ears in a well-organized manner, and his surprise deepened.
Fu Xingzhou's gaze passed over the kitchen door and saw Li Susu's busy yet orderly figure, feeling the rare warmth of home cooking.
In less than twenty minutes, Li Susu brought out two bowls of noodles.
It's simple, but it's delicious and visually appealing.
Li Susu felt that repaying her life-saving kindness with just a bowl of noodles was rather meager.
"I'll treat you to a nice meal when you're all better."
Fu Xingzhou didn't mind. After sitting down, he asked, "Are you a good cook?"
"It's alright. I can cook most common home-style dishes. More difficult ones will take some time. If you want to try them, I can learn how to make them."
Fu Xingzhou raised an eyebrow at her, his eyes filled with his usual scrutiny.
Li Susu realized that she had been too "proactive" and had completely forgotten that Fu Xingzhou was not the kind of person who liked to get close, so she quickly tried to make amends.
"Why don't you invite my older brother too? You two seem to have a pretty good relationship, have you known each other for a long time?"
"Yes, our first collaboration was the Yanghai project five years ago."
