"Ashamed beyond belief?"
Li Susu scoffed, "Miss Bai, you're overthinking it. This isn't Bai family territory. Instead of worrying about my feelings, you should worry about yourself."
She held up her hand and pointed to her lips.
"Miss Bai, it looks like you've got some lipstick on your teeth."
Bai Weiwei's expression stiffened, and she immediately took out a small mirror from her handbag to take a look.
Her makeup was clearly flawless; after all, a professional stylist had spent two hours on it before she left.
Li Susu had already started laughing, clearly on purpose.
"Li Susu!"
Bai Weiwei slammed her handbag on the table with a loud "bang".
This behavior really does resemble a princess throwing a tantrum, which clashes drastically with her gorgeous dress.
"Hey, what's wrong with you two? The banquet hasn't even started yet, why are you so angry?"
A soft laugh came from outside the door; it was Yu Xin's voice.
She had arrived outside the flower hall at some point, her gaze cold as she swept over the two of them.
She dislikes unreasonable and argumentative women, finding them troublesome.
Li Susu stood up, maintaining an elegant smile, and greeted them.
"Good evening, Mr. Yu."
“President Yu, wasn’t this flower hall prepared by you for your business partners? Li Susu came to the flower hall without permission, and I couldn’t stand it, so I said a few words to her.”
Bai Weiwei, not to be outdone, also spoke up to explain.
She paused, then added her own malicious speculation.
"Could it be that President Li felt the last collaboration was unfair, and that's why he deliberately came to the flower hall to upset President Yu?"
Li Susu twitched the corner of her mouth, her face full of disdain.
"Miss Bai, you've probably misunderstood."
Li Susu didn't directly expose Yu Xin, hoping that Yu Xin would speak up on her own initiative.
After all, how can one's own words be as effective as those spoken by Yu Xin, the master?
Sure enough, the next second, Yu Xin took over the conversation.
“Ms. Bai, you have misunderstood. Mr. Li is also a partner in this project, so he is naturally qualified to sit here.”
Yu Xin walked over in her high heels, a nonchalant smile on her face.
Bai Weiwei's expression darkened slightly as she looked at Yu Xin in surprise.
"Really? Mr. Yu, what do you mean by that?"
Yu Xin smiled and said, "Miss Bai, there's no need to get excited. I forgot to tell you that this project is divided into two parts, so we need two partners."
"Both the Bai and Li families' proposals were very good, so I signed them both."
Yu Xin explained casually, not paying attention to Bai Weiwei's increasingly gloomy expression.
"Although it's still early, you two are welcome to go to the front yard and join in the fun if you'd like."
"There will be a lot of handsome guys coming tonight."
As she spoke, Yu Xin winked at Li Susu, her tone teasing.
Li Susu smiled slightly, "I'm not interested in handsome men, but I am very interested in the roses in this flower hall, and some varieties that I don't recognize. I wonder if President Yu could show me around?"
Yu Xin chuckled, "Your dress tonight really suits this flower hall. Come on, let me show you around."
The two stood up, completely ignoring Bai Weiwei.
They were chatting and laughing so happily that a third person couldn't get a word in edgewise.
Yu Xin took the scissors from the side, picked out a bright red rose that was in full bloom, cut it off, and handed it to Li Susu.
"Rose goes well with a beautiful woman, Mr. Li, why don't you try wearing it?"
Li Susu did not refuse and simply let Yu Xin do it for her.
