Chapter 341 Concern

The board's questioning, the media's criticism, and the netizens' abuse came like a tidal wave, almost drowning her.

All of this was within her expectations.

But she never expected that this feeling would be so unbearable.

She took a deep breath and tried to stay calm.

"Li Susu, you can't give up," she said silently to herself. "You still have so much to do."

She picked up a document and forced herself to concentrate.

At that moment, the door to the room was gently pushed open.

Fu Xingzhou appeared at the doorway.

He looked tired, but his eyes were full of worry.

"Why are you back so early?" Li Susu asked, slightly surprised.

"I saw the news." Fu Xingzhou walked to her side, looked down, and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

Li Susu put down the documents in her hand and looked up at him.

"It's alright," she forced a smile, "just a little tired."

Fu Xingzhou sat down opposite her, his gaze fixed on her.

"Susu, if you have any difficulties, I can help you."

His voice was deep and firm, as if instilling strength in her.

Looking at him, Li Susu felt a warm current welling up in her heart.

She suddenly laughed, a laugh tinged with self-deprecating humor:

"Now I'm the one being accused of plagiarism."

"How come you don't doubt me at all?"

Fu Xingzhou was taken aback for a moment, then smiled.

“I have known you for so long and have witnessed firsthand how much you have contributed to the Li family after taking over from my elder brother. I naturally believe that you would not and would not stoop to doing something like plagiarism.”

Fu Xingzhou spoke earnestly, his deep eyes fixed on Li Susu.

He paused slightly and added, "Besides, would someone as proud as you care about something from the Bai family?"

There was a hint of doting affection in those words.

Li Susu felt a lump in her throat and her eyes redden slightly from his unconditional trust.

She sniffed, trying hard to hold back the tears that were about to spill from her eyes.

Then she asked, "Do you think I'm smart?"

Fu Xingzhou nodded without hesitation.

"Of course, you are the most intelligent woman I have ever met."

He paused, his gaze intense, his tone low and affectionate.

"She is also the woman I am most infatuated with."

The sudden confession made Li Susu's cheeks flush slightly.

She never expected that Fu Xingzhou could still say sweet words under these circumstances.

My heart started beating faster than usual.

After a moment of silence, Li Susu regained her composure and chuckled softly.

"Then you should trust me even more; this little thing won't hold me back."

Her eyes were firm, and her tone was confident.

"Don't worry, I have everything planned out."

Although Li Susu spoke lightly, Fu Xingzhou still noticed the clearly visible bluish-black rashes under her eyes.

A feeling of heartache spread through him.

He got up, walked to Li Susu's side, and naturally took the soup spoon from her hand.

"I'll do it."

"What are you going to do?" Li Susu was taken aback.

"I'll cook for you."

Fu Xingzhou's answer surprised Li Susu. She then hurriedly stepped forward to snatch back the soup spoon and glared at him, pretending to be angry.

"The esteemed young master of the Fu family has never learned to cook, so please don't make things worse!"

Fu Xingzhou looked at her, a doting smile playing on his lips.

"I can learn if I don't know how."

He reached out and gently ruffled Li Susu's hair.

"You're already exhausted. Let me do something for you."
