Li Yulin dialed Li Susu's number again.
"Arno, I'd like to discuss the follow-up plan for the cooperation between CN Group and the Li family with you in person. When would you be available?" He tried to sound relaxed and natural, as if it were just a routine business negotiation.
A cool voice came from the other end of the phone: "President Li, I have handed over the matter of cooperation to Chen Ke. You can talk to him."
Li Yulin's heart sank slightly; he knew that Li Susu was deliberately avoiding him.
He rubbed his temples in frustration, knowing that forcing the issue would only backfire.
"Okay, let's make it up another time." Li Yulin suppressed his disappointment and hung up the phone.
He had to find another way.
Li Yulin thought of Yu Xin.
Yu Xin is Li Susu's best friend; perhaps she can help.
He dialed Yu Xin's number.
"Yu Xin, can you help me make an appointment with Chen Nuo?" Li Yulin asked bluntly.
"You mean Chen Nuo, the female president of CN Group? This is the first time I've seen you care so much about a strange girl. Could she be Li Susu?" Yu Xin asked, somewhat surprised.
"Yes, it's her." Li Yulin said with certainty.
"Oh my god, is it really her? Are you sure?" Yu Xin's tone was full of disbelief.
"It's not entirely certain yet, but I have a feeling it's her." Li Yulin's tone carried a hint of anxiety.
"Then what do you want me to do?" Yu Xin asked.
"I want you to help me arrange to meet her. I want to see her," Li Yulin said, stating his request.
"Leave it to me," Yu Xin readily agreed.
Yu Xin quickly sent someone to deliver an exquisite invitation to Li Susu.
The invitation card bore the Rose Manor logo, inviting her to visit the manor.
Li Susu had heard of the reputation of Rose Villa; it was a beautiful and tranquil place, a great place to relax.
She was very interested in the invitation and agreed to go.
Chen Ke was a little worried when he learned that Li Susu was going to Rose Manor.
"Arno, let me go with you," Chen Ke suggested.
“Okay.” Li Susu readily agreed.
The next morning, Li Susu and Chen Ke set off for Rose Manor.
The car drove smoothly on the highway leading to the suburbs. Li Susu looked at the scenery rushing past the window and a faint sense of anticipation rose in her heart.
Chen Ke observed Li Susu's expression through the rearview mirror, but felt a vague unease in his heart.
He felt that this invitation came too suddenly.
Upon arrival at the resort, a well-dressed elderly butler was already waiting at the door.
"Mr. Chen, Ms. Chen, Mr. Yu has already given instructions. Please follow me." The butler respectfully led the two into the villa.
Following the cobblestone path, passing through a carefully manicured green area, a bright and open space suddenly appears before you.
In the center of the courtyard, a patch of red roses was in full bloom, vibrant and full of life, with a rich fragrance filling the air.
Li Susu couldn't help but stop and take a deep breath.
"What beautiful roses!" she exclaimed sincerely.
Chen Ke nodded, a hint of appreciation flashing in his eyes.
"It seems the owner of this manor is quite a remarkable person." A faint smile appeared on Li Susu's lips, and she looked forward to meeting the mysterious Yu Xin even more.
Chen Ke didn't speak, but silently observed his surroundings, his vigilance not completely gone.
"Haha, welcome, both of you!" A hearty laugh broke the tranquility of the courtyard.
Looking in the direction of the sound, a woman in a bright red cheongsam walked gracefully towards them.
