Fu Xingzhou reached out and gently peeled off the face mask from Li Susu's face with his slender fingers.
Li Susu's delicate features were fully exposed to the air, and her fair skin was tinged with a faint pink from the heat of the hot spring.
Li Susu frowned slightly and subconsciously took two steps back to keep her distance from Fu Xingzhou.
She didn't like the feeling of being controlled.
Fu Xingzhou casually tossed the face mask aside, his tone slightly mocking: "It was just a small favor, no need to thank me."
Li Susu was amused by his matter-of-fact attitude.
She took a deep breath, trying to suppress her anger, and said with a hint of sarcasm, "Is this how Mr. Fu always coaxes women?"
"To coax a woman?" Fu Xingzhou repeated Li Susu's words, a self-deprecating smile curving his lips.
His deep gaze was fixed on Li Susu, as if trying to see through the secrets hidden deep within her soul.
"In my entire life, I've only ever coaxed one woman."
His voice was low and hoarse, with a slight, almost imperceptible tremor.
"She fell into the sea and disappeared three years ago, and I have been searching for her ever since."
A flicker of pain crossed Fu Xingzhou's eyes, but he quickly concealed it.
Li Susu's heart sank suddenly, and a strange feeling welled up inside her.
She forced herself to calm down, her tone carrying a hint of contempt.
"Are you so sure I'm the person you're looking for?"
Li Susu slightly raised her chin, her eyes filled with provocation.
Fu Xingzhou did not answer, but simply looked at her quietly.
His eyes were deep and complex, as if they contained a thousand unspoken words.
Li Susu felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze and subconsciously turned her head away.
"I did have amnesia, and I also had plastic surgery."
Her tone was calm, as if she were telling someone else's story.
"But I can't remember anything from the past."
Li Susu took a deep breath and tried her best to control her emotions.
No matter how eloquently you describe it, if I'm convinced it's not true, there's nothing you can do about it.
Her tone was firm and left no room for argument.
A hint of disappointment flashed in Fu Xingzhou's eyes, but he did not give up.
"Unless you provide evidence."
Li Susu paused for a moment, then continued.
"Or, let me regain my memories."
Fu Xingzhou took a deep breath, suppressing the surging emotions within him.
He stared intently into Li Susu's eyes and said, word by word, "Arno, my intuition tells me that you are her."
Li Susu chuckled, her eyes flashing with a hint of mockery.
"Intuition? Mr. Fu, intuition is the kind of thing that's most likely to lead to misconceptions."
She slightly raised her chin, her tone carrying a hint of disdain.
"I advise you not to waste your precious time on me."
Li Susu turned around, as if to leave.
"The whereabouts of the president of the Li Group are still unknown. You should continue your search."
She paused, her tone carrying a deliberate air of distance.
"I wish Mr. Fu all his wishes come true."
Li Susu took a step, but suddenly her foot slipped.
The slippery moss by the hot spring pool caught her off guard.
Before she could even utter a cry of surprise, a warm embrace caught her steadily.
The familiar masculine scent instantly enveloped her, and Li Susu's heart skipped a beat.
She looked up and met Fu Xingzhou's deep eyes.
The two were very close, their breaths mingling, their hearts racing.
Warm breaths sprayed onto each other's faces, and an ambiguous atmosphere spread in the air.
Fu Xingzhou's gaze was fixed on Li Susu's lips, and as if possessed, he leaned down and kissed her.
