"Oh dear, I don't even like her, and we're not even in a relationship, so what's there to report!"
Li Susu frowned slightly. "He is, after all, my friend. It's only right that I show him some concern."
Yu Xin curled her lip dismissively, "Come on, I don't think he sees you as just a friend."
Without waiting for a reply, she pulled Li Susu along and said, "Today I'm the host, my job is to make sure you have fun, don't worry about anything else!"
Li Susu wanted to refuse, but the words just wouldn't come out.
She pursed her lips, a feeling she couldn't quite describe welling up inside her.
For the past three years, she has devoted almost all her time to CN's business, spinning like a top without daring to stop.
Aside from Chen Ke, she had almost no other friends.
Now that she has met Yu Xin, she really enjoys this relaxed and comfortable way of getting along.
“Okay,” she finally relented, a faint smile playing on her lips.
When Yu Xin saw that she had agreed, she excitedly grabbed her wrist and pulled her outside.
"Hurry up, hurry up! If we're late, we'll miss the most beautiful view!"
As Li Susu was pulled along by Yu Xin, she felt a little uneasy, but Yu Xin's enthusiasm made her forget about it.
Chen Ke arrived at Li Susu's room and gently knocked on the door.
"Arno?"
There was no response.
He knocked a few more times, but there was still no response.
A sense of doubt arose in Chen Ke's mind. He pushed open the door, only to find the room empty.
The bed was made, and the suitcase was placed quietly in the corner, as if no one had ever lived there.
Chen Ke's heart skipped a beat, and a bad premonition welled up in his heart.
He immediately turned around and strode towards Yu Xin's room next door.
He pounded on the door, once, twice, three times...
Still, no one responded.
Chen Ke's heart sank, a nameless sense of panic gripping him.
He turned around and ran downstairs as fast as he could, with only one thought in his mind: to find Li Susu.
He ran all the way to the hall, anxiously looking around.
At this moment, the butler came to greet them.
"Mr. Chen, is there anything I can help you with?" the butler asked respectfully.
"Where's Arno? Have you seen her?" Chen Ke asked urgently, his eyes filled with anxiety.
"Miss Chen and Mr. Yu went down the mountain together," the butler replied.
"You went down the mountain? Where did you go?" Chen Ke pressed.
"Well... I'm not quite sure either." The butler shook his head somewhat awkwardly.
Chen Ke's mind was buzzing. Li Susu and Yu Xin were not there. The housekeeper said that they had gone down the mountain together and their whereabouts were unknown.
This made him even more uneasy, and a chill ran from the soles of his feet straight to the top of his head.
He forced himself to calm down and tried to think about where they might have gone.
Suddenly, he caught sight of a familiar black Maybach slowly driving toward the gate of the manor.
That's Fu Xingzhou's car!
Could it be... that all of this was planned by Fu Xingzhou and Yu Xin?
Without thinking twice, he took off after him.
"Fu Xingzhou!" Chen Ke shouted and rushed to the car.
The driver slammed on the brakes, the tires screeching as they rubbed against the pavement.
Fu Xingzhou sat in the back seat, his brows furrowed, and rolled down the car window with some impatience.
"Chen Ke? What are you doing?"
Chen Ke's chest heaved violently, a mixture of anger and anxiety that nearly drove him to madness.
"Was all of this your doing?" He pointed at Fu Xingzhou, his tone aggressive. "You and Yu Xin planned this together, didn't you?"
