Chapter 414 Blood Clot

Li Susu's delicate eyebrows were furrowed together, and a thin mist shrouded her beautiful eyes.

For her, this success rate was too high a gamble.

"I... need to think about it."

Her voice was low and hoarse, and her fingers unconsciously rubbed the corner of the table.

The old expert pushed up his gold-rimmed glasses, a glint of shrewdness flashing behind the lenses.

“Ms. Chen, I know this decision is difficult for you.”

"However, the blood clot in your brain could spread at any time, so the earlier the surgery, the higher the chance of success."

"The longer it drags on, the greater the risk."

His tone was calm, yet carried an unquestionable authority.

Li Susu fell silent.

The old expert's words stirred up a storm in her heart.

She needs to make a decision as soon as possible.

"I understand, thank you."

Li Susu took a deep breath and stood up.

She needs time to think things through.

Pushing open the door to the consultation room, the glaring sunlight made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

She instinctively raised her hand to cover herself.

A tall figure suddenly appeared before my eyes.

It is Fu Xingzhou.

He leaned against the wall of the corridor, his hands in his pockets, looking languid.

Upon seeing Li Susu come out, he immediately stood up straight and looked intently at her.

"How is it? What did the doctor say?"

There was a hint of tension in his voice.

Li Susu looked at him with a complicated expression.

Li Susu looked at Fu Xingzhou suspiciously, her eyes filled with inquiry and a hint of barely perceptible hostility.

She squinted slightly, her long eyelashes casting a shadow under her eyelids, making her eyes appear even more profound.

"Is this doctor... really reliable?"

Her voice was soft, but carried a slight, almost imperceptible tremor, as if she were suppressing some intense emotion.

Fu Xingzhou's brows furrowed instantly, and a hint of displeasure flashed in his deep eyes.

He stared directly at Li Susu, his thin lips pressed tightly together, his jawline taut.

"Are you suspecting... that I and the doctor conspired to lie to you?"

His tone was low, carrying a hint of undisguised disappointment and hurt.

Li Susu fell silent.

She lowered her eyes, her long eyelashes concealing the complex emotions within them.

Her fingers gripped the strap of the small bag tightly, her knuckles turning white.

She did have such doubts in her heart.

This sudden recommendation for surgery made her feel uneasy and fearful.

Looking at her silent expression, Fu Xingzhou felt a surge of helplessness.

He took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled.

He shook his head and sighed softly.

"If you don't believe me, you can contact a trustworthy doctor or specialist yourself."

His tone carried a hint of helplessness and exhaustion.

He paused, then added.

"What exactly did the doctor say? Is the situation serious?"

His gaze was fixed on Li Susu's face, trying to catch a clue from her expression.

Li Susu raised her head and gave him a cold look.

"Go ask him yourself."

Her tone was cold, carrying a hint of aloofness and resistance.

"I have to go now."

Li Susu turned to leave.

Seeing that she was about to leave, Fu Xingzhou felt anxious and chased after her, reaching out to grab her arm.

"Su Su!" His tone was pleading, yet also filled with barely concealed worry.

Li Susu was pulled by him, her body stiffened suddenly, and she subconsciously tried to shake off his hand.

She struggled a few times, but couldn't break free from his grip, which made her even more agitated.
