"Chen Ke, that's enough!" Li Susu finally snapped. "My affairs are none of your business! You weren't like this before!"
Silence fell again on the other end of the phone.
After a long silence, Chen Ke said in a low voice, "Su Su, you've changed."
"Perhaps," Li Susu said coldly.
After saying that, Li Susu hung up the phone without hesitation.
Li Susu pushed open the heavy iron gate of Haoluyuan.
Fu Xingzhou's tall figure stood at the doorway.
"You're back?" His gentle voice carried a hint of barely perceptible concern.
Li Susu gave a soft "hmm" and walked straight to the living room.
Fu Xingzhou followed behind her, his gaze falling on her slightly tired face. "How is the Longteng Real Estate project progressing?"
“I can handle it,” Li Susu said indifferently.
She tossed her handbag carelessly onto the sofa and sank into the soft cushions, feeling utterly drained.
Fu Xingzhou sat down beside her and keenly noticed her unusual behavior. "What's wrong? You don't seem to be in a good mood."
His long, slender fingers gently stroked the back of her hand, trying to convey a sense of comfort.
Li Susu pulled her hand back and looked directly at him. "I know the truth about Chen Ke's car accident now."
"Su Su, listen to me, Chen Ke has ulterior motives for approaching you." Fu Xingzhou's tone was heavy, wanting to expose Chen Ke's true colors.
“I know.” Li Susu interrupted him, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes. “Even if he really did something to wrong me, he saved me before, so I won’t cut ties with him.”
Fu Xingzhou's heart tightened, and a bitter jealousy spread through him.
He suddenly grabbed Li Susu's wrist.
"Then what am I now? We've lost three years, shouldn't we be together?"
Li Susu winced in pain, forcefully pulling her hand back, her tone still cold, "Right now, I just want to focus on my work. We can talk about the rest later."
She avoided Fu Xingzhou's burning gaze, stood up, and picked up her handbag.
Fu Xingzhou was unwilling to give up, his eyes almost overflowing with deep affection, "Afterwards? What about after the surgery? What about after you think about it?"
Li Susu paused, her back to him, her voice devoid of any emotion, "We'll talk about it later."
She didn't look back and went upstairs.

Fu Xingzhou sat dejectedly in a dimly lit corner of the bar, downing one glass of spicy whiskey after another.
Li Yulin sat opposite him and sighed softly.
"Alright, stop drinking. Your stomach won't be able to handle it if you keep drinking."
Fu Xingzhou ignored him and continued to pour him drinks.
“What’s the point of you doing this? What she needs most right now is time. You have to give her space.” Li Yulin snatched the wine glass from his hand, his tone serious.
Fu Xingzhou raised his head, his eyes glazed over. "Time? Isn't three years enough? We've lost three years, isn't that enough?"
“You’ve all been through so much in these three years. What she needs now is a fresh start, not to go back to the past.” Li Yulin patiently persuaded her. He knew his sister’s personality; the more he pressured her, the more she would resist.
“Start over? How do I start over? What should I do?” Fu Xingzhou’s voice was choked with emotion; he had never felt so powerless.
Seeing his distraught appearance, Li Yulin felt a pang of pity, after all, he was his brother who had grown up with him since childhood.
"Go for it! Go for it again! Just like you did before, make her fall in love with you all over again!"
These words were like a bolt of lightning, shattering Fu Xingzhou's chaotic thoughts.
He sat up abruptly.
"Yes!" he murmured to himself.
"Figure out how to pursue her yourself. I've never pursued my sister before!" Li Yulin rolled his eyes at him, annoyed. Why did this kid make such a stupid mistake at such a crucial moment?
Fu Xingzhou suddenly remembered the last time he went to see Li Susu when he was drunk. She didn't push him away, but instead let him stay.
A bold idea popped into his mind.
He suddenly stood up and grabbed Li Yulin's shoulder. "I know what to do!"
Before Li Yulin could react, he had already rushed out of the bar, leaving Li Yulin sitting there alone, shaking his head helplessly.
The night was deep, and the villa area of Haoluyuan was quiet and peaceful.
Li Susu had just finished showering and was about to rest when she suddenly heard a rapid knocking on the door.
She wondered, who could it be so late?
She was slightly taken aback when she saw Fu Xingzhou standing at the door through the glass.
His face was flushed and his eyes were glazed; he was clearly drunk.
She wasn't planning to open the door. How childish!
The knocking didn't stop; instead, it intensified, accompanied by a man's indistinct calls: "Su Su...open the door...Su Su..."
Li Susu rubbed her temples; she was really quite drunk.
She walked to the window, pulled back a corner of the curtain, and sure enough, she saw Fu Xingzhou's figure loitering around her front door like a large, homeless dog.
The neighbor's light came on, followed by an impatient complaint: "It's the middle of the night, can't a person get any sleep?!"
