After Shen Zheng left, the office returned to silence.
Fu Xingzhou opened his contacts and found Li Susu's phone number.
His face was tense, his eyes flickered, and then he answered her call.
The phone rang a few times before someone answered.
Li Susu's voice sounded somewhat sarcastic.
"Mr. Fu, what brings you here? You're not here to brag that you snagged the Lingfeng project, are you?"
Li Susu had been holding back a lot of resentment, and with Bai Weiwei's outburst, her attitude towards Fu Xingzhou was naturally not good.
Fu Xingzhou raised an eyebrow. "The Lingfeng Project?"
"Stop playing dumb. But Fu Xingzhou, I really didn't expect you to resort to such threatening tactics. Can't you compete fairly?"
"And your fiancée, what does your annulment of the engagement have to do with me?"
"She came to me and actually told me not to bother you. Hah, Fu Xingzhou, did I bother you?"
Li Susu took the opportunity to vent all the anger she had been holding in.
His outspoken manner caused Fu Xingzhou's eyes to darken.
"I will send someone to investigate the Lingfeng project."
After a moment of silence, Fu Xingzhou finally spoke, his tone carefully chosen.
"As for Bai Weiwei, I apologize for not explaining things clearly to her."
"Are you free tomorrow night? Consider it an apology, I'll treat you to dinner."
Li Susu's anger subsided considerably, and she hesitated upon hearing these words.
"If we eat together and your fiancée sees us, what will happen then...?"
“Our engagement has been cancelled. Bai Weiwei is not my fiancée.”
Fu Xingzhou interrupted her and firmly repeated himself.
Li Susu curled her lips slightly, and for some reason, she felt quite pleased.
"Tomorrow night at 8 PM, Wanqing Club."
Fu Xingzhou hung up the phone before Li Susu could refuse.
The time and place were mentioned, so it didn't seem like a spur-of-the-moment decision, but rather something that had been planned for a long time.
Li Susu stared blankly at the phone that had been hung up.
Recalling Bai Weiwei's malicious accusations, Li Susu felt that she did indeed need to apologize.
This time, however, she didn't want to meet Fu Xingzhou alone, so she called her two older brothers along.
With them around, it wouldn't be considered a date alone, and it would prevent any misunderstandings from those with ulterior motives.
Li Susu only hoped that something like this would happen once.
Night fell, and the city lights began to twinkle.
Wanqing Club is a high-end private club where guests are all of high status and prestige, and the entire club has an extremely elegant environment.
To show his apology and admission, Fu Xingzhou arrived at the club ahead of time to wait.
Before long, Li Susu came in with her two older brothers.

"I'm only doing this for your sake today. If there's a next time, I definitely won't be so polite."
