"Bai Weiwei, please show more respect to Li Susu from now on."
"From now on, I don't want to hear about that ended engagement from anyone else again."
Fu Xingzhou's gaze was cold, and his aura brooked no doubt from the other party.
Bai Weiwei wiped away her tears, but her inner pride prevented her from crying any longer.
She glanced at Li Susu, who was being protected by Fu Xingzhou, her eyes filled with hatred.
A moment later, she finally turned and left.
Li Susu breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a mix of emotions she couldn't quite describe.
Fu Xingzhou turned around and apologized in a low voice.
"let's go."
Li Susu nodded. Her home was not far from Wanqing Club, so she didn't want to take a car back.
"I want to take a walk to get rid of the smell of alcohol. If you have something to do, you can go ahead."
Fu Xingzhou replied, "Okay, then I'll walk back with you."
Without giving Li Susu a chance to refuse, Fu Xingzhou instructed the driver to let him go home first.
Seeing this, Li Susu could no longer refuse.
The two slowly walked back, and Li Susu asked some questions about Bai Weiwei.
When Bai Weiwei shed tears at the end, Li Susu still felt some sympathy for her.
This reminded her of the way Chu Yun and Qin Chuan looked at her when they returned to China together, as if she were trash.
"Did you really not like Bai Weiwei before?"
"Did she change her mind later? She's quite pretty."
Bai Weiwei is clearly a well-mannered young lady from a wealthy family. Perhaps she was spoiled by her family, as even her beauty has an aggressive edge.
Fu Xingzhou scoffed lightly, his tone mocking.
Are you concerned about my thoughts?
"Besides, just because a woman is beautiful doesn't mean I'll necessarily like her."
Li Susu was taken aback. Recalling Fu Xingzhou's concern for her during this time, as well as his subtle approach, her heart suddenly felt a little flustered.
She looked away, worried that she was just imagining things, so she hesitated to ask the other person what they really thought.
"Li Susu, why would you ask that?"
She remained silent, which only fueled Fu Xingzhou's curiosity.
Li Susu frowned slightly. "Don't overthink it, I'm just curious."
"When Bai Weiwei cried at the end, she looked very sad. If she hadn't truly loved you, why would she cry like that?"
"Just because of that? So you think I liked her too?"
Fu Xingzhou raised an eyebrow, unable to understand the logic behind this.
"Li Susu, haven't you ever heard of the term 'unrequited love'?"
"Huh? You mean, Bai Weiwei has been in a one-sided love with you all along?"
Li Susu looked Fu Xingzhou up and down, and had to admit that he certainly had the qualities to be the object of someone's unrequited love.
However, it's rather narcissistic to say it out loud like that.
This is unlike Fu Xingzhou's style.
Fu Xingzhou had a smile on his lips, as if waiting for Li Susu to say something next.
The atmosphere between the two inexplicably began to lighten.
Li Susu smiled. The road home seemed much shorter, and she soon arrived at her doorstep.
"I'm home, Mr. Fu. You can go back now."
"Thank you for taking me home."
Fu Xingzhou nodded. "Okay."
Just as Li Susu opened the door, a disheveled woman suddenly rushed out from somewhere, muttering to herself.
"Li Susu, you bitch, you've ruined my life!"
I'm going to strangle you!
Fortunately, Fu Xingzhou hadn't gone far. Hearing the commotion, he quickly ran back.
