The next morning, Li Yulin arrived at Haoluyuan.
He was still worried about his younger sister and wanted to see her in person.
Li Susu rubbed her sleepy eyes and went downstairs in her pajamas.
"Second Brother, why are you here so early?"
She didn't sleep well last night and had nightmares all night. She finally fell into a deep sleep just before dawn.
Now, woken up by the noise, she was yawning repeatedly, her eyes red with sleepiness.
"The matter of Chu Yun'er has been thoroughly investigated."
"She found the invitation near the parking lot; the security camera footage captured it."
"With the invitation, she was able to enter the hotel smoothly, but she didn't appear at the banquet, which is why people overlooked her."
"When you went to the lounge, she saw that no one was following her, so she went in with you."
Li Susu frowned. "No one's helping her behind the scenes? She did it all by herself?"
Li Yulin nodded. "Based on the current clues and evidence, that is indeed the case."
"Su Su, do you suspect that someone is helping her behind the scenes? Who is it?"
Li Susu pursed her lips. "It's just a suspicion, there's no evidence."
"Has Chu Yun'er given her word? Has the police gotten anything out of her?"
Li Yulin sighed, "Chu Yun'er has a history of mental illness, and the police couldn't get anything out of her."
Li Susu twitched the corner of her mouth, somewhat surprised.
"Does she have a mental illness? Is this conclusion credible?"
Li Yulin hesitated, unsure of the outcome.
"If the test results are true, it's likely that Chu Yun'er will receive a lighter punishment."
"Damn it."
Li Yulin was somewhat annoyed. With the person taken away by the police, there was nothing he could do, even if he wanted to.
Li Susu recalled Chu Yun'er's frantic appearance; she did indeed seem like a madwoman, but it was all too coincidental.
Everywhere you look, there's an air of conspiracy.
"Second brother, could you help me investigate Bai Weiwei?"
Li Yulin repeated Bai Weiwei's name, "The woman you had a falling out with last night?"
"You suspect she did it?"
Li Susu nodded. "I just have a suspicion, Second Brother. I want to see Chu Yun'er again. Maybe I can find out something."
"Keep an eye on Bai Weiwei's movements for me. If she did it, she'll definitely be worried and ask me what I might find out."
"In that case, she will definitely take some action."
Li Yulin nodded, quickly understanding his sister's meaning.
“Su Su, I can send someone to keep an eye on Bai Weiwei, but Chu Yun’er is still receiving treatment in the hospital. I’m not comfortable with you two meeting alone.”
"I'll go instead."
Li Susu frowned and firmly rejected her brother's suggestion.
"Chu Yun'er hates me; she can only tell the truth when she's facing me."
"Second brother, let me go. Her arm is useless; what can she do to me?"
After hesitating for a moment, Li Yulin finally relented.
"Okay, then I'll go with you."
"Go and tidy up."
Li Susu nodded, went upstairs to tidy up quickly, and then went out with her second brother.
Fu Xingzhou's car was parked at the entrance. When he saw the two of them come out, he rolled down the car window and his gaze fell on Li Susu's face.
The woman looked tired, as if she hadn't had enough rest.
"Let's postpone the afternoon meeting."
Li Susu paused for a moment before remembering that she was supposed to have a meeting this afternoon regarding the HE patent project.
After what happened last night, she hadn't even had a chance to check on the details of the project preparations.
