As Fu Xingzhou entered the front hall, he was glared at by Shen Rongfang.
"You still know how to come back? You probably don't even consider yourself your mother anymore, do you?"
Fu Xingzhou frowned. He hadn't been back to the old house for only a few days, and the moment he saw his mother, she made some sarcastic remarks.
However, he didn't mind, after all, he knew his mother's temper very well.
"I've been busy at the company these past few days, so I haven't had time to come back."
"Mom, how have you been feeling lately?"
Shen Rongfang snorted, "It's really not good. I'm asking you, did you mention breaking off the engagement with Weiwei?"
Fu Xingzhou nodded, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
"Did Bai Weiwei come here today to complain?"
Shen Rongfang clicked her tongue. "Xingzhou, how can you talk like that? How is that complaining? You have such a good fiancée, how can you not cherish her?"
“You and Weiwei grew up together as childhood sweethearts. You should know very well what kind of person she is. She is beautiful and sensible, making her the most suitable person to be the future mistress of the Fu family.”
"Have you lost your mind?! You actually want to call off the engagement!"
Fu Xingzhou sat down on his own, completely ignoring his mother's scolding.
"Mom, the engagement was decided by the elders, and I never agreed to it."
“I was too young to bring this up before, and I’ve already considered it as such and canceled the marriage.”
Hearing her son's sophistry, Shen Rongfang became even more furious.
"Fu Xingzhou, listen to what you're saying! Marriage is a lifelong matter, how can you treat it so lightly?"

Fu Xingzhou's expression hardened, and his tone became somewhat displeased.

There was a moment of silence in the front hall. Fu Xingzhou did not refute it, but simply got up and left.
He showed through his actions that he would not listen to her at all.
Shen Rongfang stood up angrily and scolded her son's retreating figure.
"Fu Xingzhou, did you even hear what I said? I will absolutely not agree to Li Susu!"
Fu Xingzhou didn't stop at all, got into the car, and left the Fu family's old house.
He came back tonight after finishing his work and made a special trip to see his mother.

I never expected my mother to be so unfriendly to Li Susu.
Fu Xingzhou felt inexplicably irritable.
The air pressure inside the car was low. The assistant cautiously glanced at his boss's expression through the rearview mirror, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke.
"President Fu, President Li said that the Li family has made preparations for the HE patent project, and a meeting can be held tomorrow."
Fu Xingzhou responded, "Then let's arrange a time tomorrow."
"Yes, Mr. Fu."
