Chapter 254 A trap set for him

Chapter 254 A trap set for him

"Is your foot better?" His tone was gentle, as if they were just an ordinary couple, not a prisoner-and-captive relationship.

Chu Ruohan looked at him coldly and did not answer.

Gu Chengyan didn't seem to care about her indifference and put the tray on the table. "I brought you some food. You must be hungry."

"I'm not hungry." Chu Ruohan said coldly.

Gu Chengyan chuckled, "You can choose not to eat, but I won't let you starve to death."

He sat down beside the bed, only an arm's length away from Chu Ruohan.

"What do you want to do?" she finally couldn't help asking.

Gu Chengyan looked at her, a complex emotion flashed in his eyes, "I just want you."

"Gu Chengyan, you're so disgusting." Chu Ruohan sneered, "Gu Junze won't let you go."

A flash of hurt flashed across Gu Chengyan's eyes, but he quickly regained his composure. He stood up and straightened his robe.

"He can't find this place." Gu Chengyan said confidently, "This villa is very hidden. No one knows its exact location except me."

Chu Ruohan's heart sank, but she remained calm on the surface. "Do you think you can get my heart by imprisoning me?"

"Time will change everything." Gu Chengyan's voice was low and firm. "One day, you will get used to living with me."

Allen Chu looked at him and suddenly laughed, "You are so pathetic."

Gu Chengyan's eyes became dangerous. He reached out to touch Chu Ruohan's face, but she suddenly opened his hand.

"Don't touch me!" Chu Ruohan said sternly.

Gu Chengyan's hand stopped in mid-air, a trace of hurt flashed in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Okay, I won't touch you." He lifted his leg and walked towards the door. "But you'd better eat something to keep your strength. Tomorrow I will show you around the villa so you can get familiar with your future home."

After saying that, he turned and left, closing the door.

When Chu Ruohan heard the sound of the door being locked outside, she felt something was wrong.

Why does Gu Chengyan want to take her around?

On second thought, it's better than being trapped in this room all day.

She walked to the window and looked out at the dark night.

"Jun Ze..." She called softly, tears glistening in her eyes.

A distance of forty miles would still take several hours even if marching quickly.

When the sky was already turning pale, they finally arrived at the woods near Songlin Villa.

"Sir, we're just ahead of us at Songlin Villa," Ying Qing reported in a low voice, a look of caution in his eyes. "We should proceed with caution."

Gu Junze nodded and ordered, "Shadow Five and Shadow Six, go investigate the situation first. The rest of you stay put."

The two shadow guards took the order and left, their figures disappearing into the woods as quickly as ghosts.

Not long after, Ying Wu returned and reported, "Prince, the villa is heavily guarded, with at least thirty highly skilled guards patrolling. Deep in the courtyard, there's a house brightly lit. This might be where the young lady is being held captive."

Gu Junze immediately gave the order to rescue people.

However, the moment he stepped into the villa, his keen intuition told him that something was wrong.

There was an eerie silence in the air, and the surrounding trees swayed gently in the breeze, making rustling sounds.

Gu Junze's eyes instantly became alert. He signaled the shadow guards behind him to stay alert, and quietly clenched the sword in his hand.

Suddenly, a sharp whistle broke the tranquility of the early morning.

Then, a group of men in black emerged from all directions, holding sharp blades and with cold eyes, they surrounded Gu Junze and his group.

Gu Junze's heart sank, he realized that he had been ambushed.

The patrolling guards that Shadow Five and Shadow Six saw were deliberately put on a show for them.

Chu Ruohan is not here at all, and Gu Chengyan is not here either.

All of this was a trap carefully set by Gu Chengyan, whose purpose was to lure Gu Junze over and then kill him.

"Gu Chengyan, what on earth does he want to do?" Gu Cheng'an roared angrily, his voice echoing in the valley.

However, the only response he got was the sneer of the man in black and the sound of swords clashing.

The battle broke out instantly, and the shadow guards quickly formed a circle, protecting Gu Junze and Gu Chengan in the middle.

They are all elite soldiers who have followed Gu Junze for many years. They are all very skilled and are not afraid of the enemy's siege.

Gu Junze waved the sword in his hand, and every swing was accompanied by fierce momentum, and blood splattered under his sword.

However, the enemy was too numerous and well-trained, and they gradually fell into trouble.

At this moment, a crackling sound suddenly came from the distance.

Gu Junze turned his head and saw a raging fire spreading rapidly. It turned out that Gu Chengyan had started the forest fire in a crazy way.

The fire grew bigger and bigger, the blazing flames and billowing smoke quickly spread, and the entire villa was engulfed in flames.

It is easy to go up the mountain but difficult to go down, not to mention that there are raging fires everywhere.

The scorching heat burned people's skin and the thick smoke made it almost impossible to breathe.

"Despicable villain!" Gu Junze cursed angrily.

Gu Chengyan knew that he couldn't kill him as long as the shadow guard was there, so he went through so much trouble, his real purpose was to burn him to death.

Gu Junze knew that if this continued, everyone would be burned to death.

While struggling to resist the enemy's attacks, he was looking for an opportunity to break through.

The shadow guards followed Gu Junze closely, cutting through thorns and bushes as they tried to carve out a bloody path.

However, the enemy's encirclement was like an iron barrel, and every breakthrough was met with strong resistance.

Gu Chengan accidentally fell in the chaos and was targeted by a man in black. The man in black had a ferocious look on his face, raised the knife in his hand, and stabbed Gu Chengan fiercely.

"Be careful!" Gu Junze was quick-witted and quick-handed. He shouted and rushed over quickly, blocking the attack of the man in black with the sword in his hand.

However, his arm was also cut by the enemy's sharp blade, and blood flowed down his arm.

Gu Cheng'an looked at the scene in front of him in horror, his heart filled with gratitude and guilt.

"Brother, you are injured!" Gu Cheng'an shouted.

"Stop talking nonsense and break out!" Gu Junze said gritting his teeth.

Everyone continued to fight hard, and finally, under the desperate cover of the shadow guards, they broke through the enemy's encirclement and ran down the mountain.

However, the wildfire had blocked their retreat, and they had to find other ways out.

The mountain road was rugged, and the thick smoke obstructed their vision, making their movements extremely difficult.

Yingba pointed to the distance and said, "Prince, there is a small path over there, maybe we can escape from danger!"

Everyone quickly ran towards the path, but just as they were about to reach it, a huge burning tree fell down, blocking the way.

"Prince, I'll clear the way!" Yingba shouted, and rushed towards the burning tree regardless of everyone's obstruction.
