"Yeah, you heard me, why didn't you open the door?"
Gu was caught off guard by Yu Jing's question and didn't know how to answer for a moment. He stammered, "I'm taking a shower."
"Where's Sheng Sheng?" Yu Jing asked again.
Gu Ye glanced at Yu Sheng and said, "Sheng Sheng sprained her ankle and can't move around easily."
"How did she twist her ankle?"
"she……"
"Come down and open the door for me, then I'll go in and you can talk slowly."
After Yu Jing finished speaking, she hung up the phone before Gu Ye could say anything.
Yu Jing's sudden visit forced Gu Ye to stop what he was doing. He looked at Yu Sheng angrily and said, "Did you send your mother?"
Yu Sheng glared at him with bloodshot eyes and said angrily, "My phone was with you the whole time, how am I supposed to get my mom here?"
"Right, her phone was with him the whole time, she had no chance to notify Yu Jing at all, so why did Yu Jing suddenly come to their house?" Gu Ye wondered, and at the same time, a face flashed into his mind...
He grinned maliciously and said, "It's not you, it's your lover."
Yu Sheng was also wondering why Yu Jing had come, and was stunned when Gu Ye said that.
lover?
Does he mean Shang Yan?
Yu Sheng's heart skipped a beat; it really could be him!
Yu Sheng dared not speak, or even breathe heavily, for fear that the raging madman on her body would suddenly transfer his anger towards Shang Yan to her.
Gu Ye grabbed Yu Sheng's chin and said viciously, "Shang Yan thinks calling your mother will save you? Dream on! No one can save you tonight!"
Yu Sheng didn't want to listen to Gu Ye's nonsense anymore, and reminded him, "My mother is still waiting outside."
"I know, I'll go open the door for my mother-in-law right away."
As Gu Ye spoke, he untied Yu Sheng's hands from the headboard, nimbly got out of bed, and put his belt back on his pants...
Yu Sheng's skin was fair and tender, and Gu Ye had tied her up so tightly that her hands were red and painful.
Ignoring the pain, the moment her hands were freed, she pulled down the sweater that Gu Ye had pushed up to her chest, then sat up in bed and ran her hands through her messy hair.
Gu fastened his belt, took out two tissues, and wanted to wipe away Yu Sheng's tears.
Just as he reached out his hand, Yu Sheng turned her head away.
Yu Sheng's avoidance made him quite unhappy.
Considering that his mother-in-law was still waiting outside, he didn't say much, stuffed the tissue into Yu Sheng's hand and said, "Pack up, I'll go open the door."
After Gu Ye left, Yu Sheng crumpled the tissue he had stuffed into her hand into a ball, tossed it into the trash can, and threw it away.
She definitely couldn't go to see Yu Jing looking like this, so she got out of bed and quickly washed her face.
Although the tears had been washed away, her eyes were still terribly red and swollen, which was obvious to anyone with eyes. If Yu Jing asked her about it later, she would have to make up an excuse.
After coming out of the bathroom, she took a few deep breaths before walking outside.
Before they even went downstairs, Yu Jingchong asked Gu Ye, "Where's Sheng Sheng?"
“Upstairs,” Gu Ye said.
"I'll go up and check on her."
Gu Ye was worried that Yu Sheng wasn't ready, so he stopped Yu Jing and said, "Please sit here for a while, I'll go up and carry her down."
"That's too much trouble, I'll go up myself."
Before Gu could even utter the words "It's no trouble," he saw Yu Sheng limping down the stairs, holding onto the handrail.
He hurried over to her and said in a doting tone, "Why did you come down? Didn't I tell you to wait upstairs?"
At this moment, Gu had returned to her usual gentle and considerate demeanor, completely different from before.
Yu Sheng agreed, saying, "I couldn't wait any longer, so I came down."
"I'll carry you down."
Before Yu Sheng could refuse, Gu Ye scooped her up in his arms and carried her downstairs.
Seeing the two getting along so well and being so affectionate, Yu Jing couldn't help but smile and teased, "Gu Ye, you're going to spoil her like this."
Gu Ye said in a joking tone, "We just want to spoil her so that we don't have to worry about other men having designs on her."
Yu Sheng felt uncomfortable seeing him openly implying something about her, but she didn't know what to say.
After Gu put her on the sofa, he went to the kitchen to pour water for Yu Jing.
Yu Sheng looked at Yu Jing and asked, "Mom, why are you here?"
Yu Jing didn't answer, but asked in a stern tone, "What happened between you and Gu Ye?"
"How did you know about Gu Ye..." Yu Sheng didn't finish her sentence.
Yu Jing glanced at Gu Ye in the kitchen and lowered her voice: "A Yan called me and said he heard you and Gu Ye arguing at his house. As soon as I heard that, I rushed over!"
Yu Sheng lowered her eyes, thinking to herself: So it really was him who called her mother!
"When I saw you two looking so affectionate, I thought A-Yan had misheard, but Gu Ye's words were clearly wrong. What did he mean by 'I don't need to be wary of other men having designs on me'? What are you doing?"
Yu Jing's indiscriminate questioning made Yu Sheng feel very uncomfortable. She said, "What can I do?"
Yu Jing didn't believe her and continued to ask, "You didn't do anything? Why would Gu say such a thing?"
Yu Sheng said sadly, "Do you believe everything he says?"
Yu Jing said impatiently, "Then tell me, what exactly happened?"
Yu Sheng opened her mouth, but for a moment she didn't know where to start. Should she say that Gu also misunderstood her and Shang Yan? If her mother and Uncle Shang found out about this, wouldn't it be even more embarrassing?
Seeing that Yu Sheng remained silent, Yu Jing urged, "Why don't you say something?"
Yu Sheng said somewhat irritably, "It's nothing."
Yu Jing glanced at the TV screen, which was cracked like a spider web. "You two had a fight and smashed the TV like that. And you still say it's nothing?"
Only after Yu Jing mentioned it did Yu Sheng notice that the TV screen was cracked—Gu Ye had smashed it with his phone!
