Gu was taken aback by Duan Huaisheng's question, and turned to look at Yu Sheng.
Although Duan Huaisheng had lowered his voice, Yu Sheng still heard him. Seeing Gu Ye and Duan Huaisheng looking at her, she lowered her head awkwardly and went into the bathroom.
"Really?" Duan Huaisheng asked, sounding very anxious.

He finished his cigarette in a few quick strokes and had just stubbed it out in the ashtray when he heard a woman's intermittent moans coming from next door. Gu Ye immediately recognized it as Qiao Moya's voice.
When Qiao Moya was with him, she moaned wildly, but when she was with Duan Huaisheng, she moaned like a kitten. It was precisely because of this that he felt both itchy and uncomfortable.
He clenched his hands, which were hanging at his sides, and turned around to see Yu Sheng standing not far away.
She had just finished showering, wearing a floral sundress, her hair, which smelled faintly of shampoo, draped over her shoulders. This instantly aroused Gu Ye's body, which was in a mess from Qiao Moya's cries. He swallowed hard and walked towards Yu Sheng.
When Yu Sheng came out of the bathroom, she heard a woman's voice. At first, she couldn't tell what the sound was, but after listening carefully, she realized that it was the two people next door doing their business. When she looked at Gu Ye, she saw him standing on the balcony.
She felt it would be awkward for them to be together in this situation, so she wanted to go back to the restroom for a while.
Before she could even make a move, Gu looked at her.
The moment they made eye contact, she could tell what he wanted to do from his eyes.
So, before he even reached her, she said, "You should go back to your room."
Yu Sheng's words were like a bucket of cold water poured over Gu Ye's head, instantly sobering him up.
If Yu Sheng weren't pregnant, he might have to negotiate with her before leaving.
She was pregnant, so even if he tried to persuade her to stay, it wouldn't make any difference. He might as well just leave.
So Gu responded and gave Yu Sheng a few words of advice in a concerned tone before quietly opening the door and leaving. He then quietly closed the door, glanced at the closed door next door, and turned to walk back to his own room.
His room was opposite Yu Sheng, and diagonally opposite Qiao Moya and Duan Huaisheng's house. He couldn't hear the two of them doing anything; all he could hear was the sound of waves crashing against the rocks and the wind.
Logically, now that he couldn't hear the sound anymore, he should have calmed down, but instead of calming down, he was even more agitated than before.
As he smoked, he thought: Qiao Moya is Duan Huaisheng's girlfriend, it's perfectly normal for them to have a relationship, so what am I so upset about? Am I jealous?
He rejected the idea as soon as it came to mind.
He didn't think he was jealous; he just felt that Qiao Moya was quite despicable, trying to seduce him while also having a relationship with Duan Huaisheng, which was why he felt annoyed.
After finding a reasonable explanation for his irritability, Gu took a shower and went to bed, but as soon as he closed his eyes, he could only hear Qiao Moya's wanton moans in his mind. He couldn't control himself and could only fall asleep after drinking some alcohol.
Gu also fell asleep, but Yu Sheng did not.
Because the noise next door was constant, she even had the urge to ask the hotel reception for earplugs, but she was afraid that the noise from going in and out of her room would disturb the neighbors, so she held back. The noise didn't stop until late at night.
Yu Sheng had gotten used to waking up at 7:30 a.m. over the years, but due to jet lag and insomnia, her biological clock was disrupted, and she was woken up by a knock on the door the next day.

After Qiao Moya and Duan Huaisheng left, Gu Ye entered Yu Sheng's room and said, "They live next door to us. It's too easy for us to be discovered if we sleep in separate rooms. Why don't I move in with you? You're pregnant now, so even if I wanted to do something to you, I couldn't touch you. You sleep on the bed, and I'll sleep on the sofa."
Yu Sheng thought Gu Ye's words made sense, but she was afraid that what happened last night would happen again, so she said to Gu Ye, "Don't move over here, I'll move into your room."
