Chapter 35 Are you trying to force me to my death?

Yu Sheng's legs went weak, and she collapsed to the ground.

She covered her face with her hands and sobbed silently!

She didn't understand why, after being betrayed, her closest relatives didn't care for her or stay by her side, but instead pressured her!

She's her mother!

My biological mother!

How could she treat her like this?

Doesn't she feel any pity for her at all?

Perhaps, she really doesn't feel sorry for her.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have treated her like that!

...

The next morning, Gu Ye came to the shop to pick up Yu Sheng for morning tea, only to learn that she was ill, and seriously ill at that!

Gu Ye was anxious to go upstairs to check on Yu Sheng, but Yu Jing stopped him: "Sheng Sheng hasn't woken up yet, please wait a while."

After Gu sat down on the sofa, Yu Jing said, "Mom, three new teas just arrived. Can you help me taste them?"

Gu was worried about Yu Sheng's safety and had no interest in drinking tea. However, he couldn't refuse, so he nodded in agreement.

Yu Jing: "Sister Wang, bring some tea!"

Sister Wang brought over three cups of tea and placed them in front of Gu Ye. Gu Ye picked up the first cup and took a sip: "This cup is Pu'er."

Seeing Yu Jing nod, he picked up the second cup and took a sip: "Biluochun!"

Yu Jing smiled and handed him the third cup.

Gu took it, sipped it, and then sipped it again, but still couldn't tell what kind of tea it was. He knew it wasn't a good tea, though, because it didn't taste good.

Gu Ye looked at Yu Jing and asked, "Mom, what kind of tea is this?"

"Cloudy, cold tea dregs."

Gu Ye was taken aback, not quite understanding what Yu Jing meant, when Yu Jing said earnestly, "Gu Ye, tea is divided into three grades, and so are people. Drinking the wrong cup... will damage the foundation of your spleen and stomach!"

Gu Ye's expression changed instantly.

He was so smart, how could he not know what Yu Jing was saying?

She used Pu'er tea as a metaphor for the legal wife, Biluochun tea as a metaphor for the mistress, and murky, cold tea dregs as a metaphor for the sordid consequences of infidelity.

She's calling him!

She knew he was cheating on her!

Does Yu Sheng know about this?

Gu wanted to ask, but couldn't bring himself to say it.

Some things are one thing if you don't say them out loud, and another thing if you do say them out loud.

After saying what she needed to say, Yu Jing left.

Gu sat on the sofa in astonishment, wondering whether Yu Sheng knew about her affair when Sister Wang came to tell him that Yu Sheng had woken up.

Gu Yegang was anxious to go upstairs to see Yu Sheng, but now that he knew she was awake, he was afraid to see her.

Sister Wang didn't know what had happened. Seeing that Gu was still sitting there in a daze after she finished speaking, she thought he hadn't heard her, so she repeated, "Young Master Gu, Miss Yu has woken up."

"Okay, I'll go up right now!"

With a heavy heart, Gu Ye climbed the stairs one step at a time, his steps unsteady.

Suddenly, I remembered the night he and Jiang Jiang had their affair in the woods and then came to see Yu Sheng, and Yu Sheng smelled a woman's fragrance on him.

Then he thought of Yu Sheng, who never went to the company, but who went to his company the day after they got their marriage certificate.

He suspected Yu Sheng of cheating on him at that time.

In an attempt to dispel her doubts and solidify her trust in him, he cleverly hired a foreigner to stage a scene resembling Charles's student.

After that...

Gu Ye stopped in his tracks, his face ashen.

He suddenly remembered that one night after that, he suddenly couldn't contact Yu Sheng. He was very panicked at the time. Later, Sister Wang said that Yu Sheng was sick and had been taken away by Shang Yan.

It seems that Yu Sheng's attitude towards him became cold after that day.

Could it be that Shang Yan discovered his infidelity and told Yu Sheng?

It must have been him who said it!

Gu thought angrily.

Now is not the time to be angry; it is the time to ask for Yu Sheng's forgiveness.

When Gu Ye entered Yu Sheng's room, he looked just like a student who had mistakenly entered the homeroom teacher's office.

When he went in, Yu Sheng was looking out the window.

It snowed all night last night, and the outside world was covered in silver. The branches were bent over by the weight of the snow, making it as beautiful as a fairy tale world.

But few people know that behind the world of fairy tales lies a trailer for the real world!

A beautiful surface is just a facade.

Gu stood there for a while before mustering up the courage to call out softly—

“Sheng Sheng…”
