Has your brother returned?
Li Susu's question pulled Yu Sheng back to reality.
"Not yet, I'll give him a call."
Yu Sheng dialed Shang Yan's number and waited for him to answer. Out of the corner of her eye, she couldn't help but glance at Gu Ye and Qiao Moya, who had already arrived at the front desk. They were standing very close to each other, seemingly talking about something, looking very intimate.
"Hello?"
The cold, deep male voice that suddenly came from the other end of the phone startled Yu Sheng. She said somewhat awkwardly, "Brother, Gu and I are here... Sister Su is here too, and so are her friends... Where are you?"
"arrive!"
"Huh?" Yu Sheng didn't understand what he meant and asked, "Where are we?"
"Turn around!"
Yu Sheng turned around and saw Shang Yan, with his upright posture, stride into the hall.
She led Li Susu over, called Shang Yan "brother," and then introduced her to him: "This is Sister Susu."
After saying that, he turned to Li Susu and said, "This is my brother, Shang Yan!"
As the two greeted each other, Gu Ye and Qiao Moya walked over.
"I thought President Shang was too busy to come today!"
"Since I promised, I will naturally come!"
Seeing that the two were at odds as soon as they met, Yu Sheng interrupted, afraid that others would laugh at them, "Brother, where's your ID card? I'll help you check in."
Li Susu smiled and said, "Yu Sheng is so considerate to her brother."
When Yu Sheng took the ID card from Shang Yan, she glanced at Gu Ye, her eyes clearly telling him to say less. She believed he understood.
After Yu Sheng helped Shang Yan check in, they took the elevator together to the fifth floor.
The group agreed to meet in the lobby in ten minutes, then go eat before going to the hot springs.
The houses were all next to each other. When Li Susu saw that Yu Sheng and Gu Ye were sleeping in separate rooms, she asked in confusion, "Aren't you two getting your marriage certificate? Why are you sleeping in separate rooms?"
Gu Ye glanced at Yu Sheng and replied to Li Susu, "If you don't have a banquet, you're not a real couple."
Li Susu was a little confused and didn't know how to respond for a moment. After a second or two, she asked with an expression as if she had thought of something, "You two don't mean you haven't... that yet?"
Yu Sheng certainly knew what Li Susu meant by 'that'!
If she hadn't discovered Gu Ye's infidelity, she would have felt embarrassed if she were asked about it in public!
But at that moment, she felt not embarrassment, but disgust!
The thought of him doing "that" with other women made her feel disgusted!
Yu Sheng didn't say anything, turned around and went into the room.
She didn't know what the people outside said after she left, nor did she care. All she knew was that the joy she felt when she got off the bus was destroyed by someone's careless remark.
Scenes of Gu Ye and Jiang Jiang making love in the bedroom, the lounge, and the car flashed through her mind. She was overwhelmed with pain and curled up in a ball on the bed in agony.
The sudden ringing of the doorbell pulled her back from her nightmare.
She got up and opened the door, and saw Gu Ye standing outside. She asked coldly, "What is it?"
"Um."
"What's up?"
"Let's go inside and talk!"
"Say it right here!"
After she finished speaking, she saw Gu Ye look back with some concern before lowering her voice and saying to her, "Qiao Moya's father, Qiao Weiyang, came to Libu to see me three days ago."
Gu Ye's words caught Yu Sheng off guard. She clearly hadn't expected Qiao Weiyang to go to Gu Ye. What did he want with him? Was it about Qiao Moya?
Although she had a general idea, she still wanted to get confirmation from Gu Ye.
So he turned around and went into the room, and Gu followed him in.
As soon as the door closed, Yu Sheng rushed to Gu Ye and asked, "What did Qiao Weiyang want with you?"
Gu did not hide anything from Yu Sheng, telling her why Qiao Weiyang had come to see him and why he had rejected him.
"That day, when we met him at Guo's restaurant, I didn't know he was your father. Later, after hearing what Mom said at the door of the private room, I guessed his identity."
But what I didn't expect was that he actually came to Libu himself to find me so that Qiao Moya could get the Libu endorsement. Isn't that ridiculous? After how he treated you, how could I possibly agree to it?
Yu Sheng found it very ironic after hearing this.
She truly never expected that Qiao Weiyang, as her stepdaughter, would go so far as to use her and her biological father's names to seek favors from Gu Ye!
He's really willing to go all out!
Gu Ye tugged at her clothes, and she looked at him. He looked aggrieved: "You just asked me how I knew Qiao Moya's name, and this is how I found out..."
His words clearly implied that she had misunderstood him!
He deceived Jiang Jiang terribly!
Therefore, she doesn't believe a single word he says now!
But she still had to say what needed to be said—
"If you still want to find other women, I can't stop you, but that woman can't be Jomoa!"
As soon as Yu Sheng's cold and resolute voice fell, Gu Ye said anxiously, "Sheng Sheng, I've already made a mistake once, how could I make a second one?"
"It's not impossible."
Gu Ye's face was full of pain: "Sheng Sheng, what do I have to do for you to believe me?"
Yu Sheng stared at the snow-covered mountains outside the window for a while and said, "Gu Ye, can you make the snow, stained with dirt, clean again? Our love... is dirty... can't go back..."
Gu hugged Yu Sheng tightly, his face full of regret as he repeatedly said, "We can go back, we can go back, as long as we want to go back, we can go back..."
Where can I go back?
Once this happens between a couple, even if they stay together, that thorn will always remain in their hearts.
A broken mirror cannot be mended, and spilled water cannot be gathered up again!
A series of knocks came from outside the hallway, along with Li Susu's loud calls for dinner, breaking the somber atmosphere inside.
