Yu Sheng and Gu Ye had been together for five years. Gu Jin always had this bossy attitude whenever she saw her, so she was used to it and didn't feel any displeasure because of their chance encounter.
She went back to the hospital, ate, and started waiting for Yu Jing. Knowing Yu Jing as she did, she knew that once Yu Jing found out that she had gone to Shang Shichang to talk about the divorce, she would definitely come to confront her immediately. Compared to Yu Jing's tense demeanor, Yu Sheng was much calmer. She didn't want to argue with her, as arguing wouldn't yield any results, so she preferred to handle the matter calmly.
"I don't need anyone's permission to divorce Gu Ye, and I didn't lie to Uncle Shang—I really want to divorce Gu Ye! Whether you agree or not, I'm getting a divorce!"
Yu Jing's face turned pale with anger. "Fine, fine, you've grown wings and think you can ignore what I said? Have you forgotten what I told you?"
"I haven't forgotten what you said: If I get a divorce, you can die!"
"Since you haven't forgotten, how dare you leave?"
Yu Sheng let out a helpless laugh: "Mom, I'm 23 now, not a child anymore. Don't treat me like you did when I was little, threatening me with death all the time!"
Yu Jing raised Yu Sheng single-handedly until she was 23 years old. She made no mistakes at any stage of Yu Sheng's life, and she never missed a single one of Yu Sheng's stage performances. She never disobeyed her, but now...

She stared at Yu Sheng with wide eyes: "You're saying I'm threatening you? You think I won't die?"
"Yes, you won't!"
Yu Sheng's extremely certain words were like a loud slap across Yu Jing's face.
She paused for a moment, then said, "Fine, since you want me to die, I'll die now!"
