The seaweed, jellyfish, and manta rays down there are all too dangerous.
Xiao Hu was telling the truth. Diving is great for taking pictures. The deep blue seabed, with sunlight shining through the water, and you standing on the seabed, it's beautiful.
However, it is indeed very dangerous; without professional equipment and instructors, accidents can easily happen.
"Alright, I know what I'm doing. Let me tell you, I can probably stay underwater for a few minutes, so don't rush me." Ye Cheng said as he took off his clothes, until he was only wearing his underwear.
With Chen Jinshui present, he dared not say that he could dive for several tens of minutes, as it was truly beyond human common sense.
"No, you're really going?"
Seeing that Ye Cheng was completely naked, the two finally believed that Ye Cheng was really going to go diving.
"Nonsense, do I look fake?" Ye Cheng rolled his eyes twice.
Then he took out a pair of diving goggles from his bag and found a tube to bite down on.
Seeing Ye Cheng's outfit, Xiao Hu was speechless.
"No, bro, those pipes are all rigid. What's the point of you biting into a water pipe? This thing goes soft as soon as it gets wet, how are you supposed to breathe?"
Ye Cheng blushed. He didn't want to either. The problem was that he had just acquired the skill this morning and hadn't prepared for it. The diving mask was just a cheap swimming mask.
I'll find an opportunity to buy some professional products later.
"Don't worry about it, you two can just focus on fishing in a bit." Ye Cheng said dismissively, then pretended to bite the soft hose and walked towards the sea.
Chen Jinshui stared blankly at Xiaohu, "He's really going?"
Xiao Hu shrugged. "That's just how my brother is. Don't worry about him. I'll go fishing with you."
As he spoke, Xiao Hu found a spot and started arranging the seats. He didn't know about others, but he knew that Ye Cheng definitely had a secret.
There must be a reason why someone who was just like me in the village suddenly became so capable.
However, Ye Cheng had always been very good to him, so he didn't ask.
Ye Cheng stepped down the sand to the bottom of the reef. Although the undeveloped beach didn't have broken glass, there were still some broken seashells and such, which could hurt your feet.
I tested the water temperature with my foot, and it was alright. It was just a bit early, and the temperature hadn't warmed up yet, so it was a little chilly. It would be fine once I got into the water.
Ye Cheng glanced at the two people on the rocks above, who were talking, and quickly took off his shoes and rushed into the sea.
As soon as he went underwater, Ye Cheng felt the seawater surrounding him. He closed his mouth and nose and experienced the power of underwater breathing.
Previously, when I went into the water, I would feel tightness in my chest and shortness of breath, which was due to lack of oxygen.
But this time I didn't feel anything at all, it was as if I was in the air, and my limbs felt very comfortable.
In order not to arouse suspicion, Ye Cheng also hurriedly began to search.
The seawater was a bit murky today, and with the constant influx of water stirring it up, it became even more blurry after putting on the diving mask; I could only vaguely see a shadow.
On the contrary, once we reached the seabed, the water flow slowed down, and the view became clearer.
This isn't the open sea; there's no deep blue, clean seawater like a swimming pool. It's just ordinary seawater mixed with a lot of suspended matter.
For his first dive, Ye Cheng didn't rush out to sea, but instead slowly descended along the reef.
Below the reef is a relatively flat seabed, with a thick layer of seabed mud gently swaying with the seawater, and small creatures occasionally darting out.
Ye Cheng looked closely and saw that the mud and sand moved slightly as he came down, and two small dots blinked – these were crabs.
Ye Cheng extended his claws and clamped down on the crab's hiding place. With a gentle lift, a crab was caught, its two claws still defiant and eager to challenge him.
Ye Cheng picked it up and gently shook it to wash away the mud and sand. It was a blue crab, and a crab with roe. Not bad.
Ye Cheng put it into the net bag he carried with him. That's the downside of diving; you can't use a large water tank anymore, so you have to use a net to hold it.
The seabed quieted down again. Ye Cheng continued to look ahead and saw another crab. They liked to hide in the mud and sand.
However, this was just a blue flower crab, which Ye Cheng also acquired.
Holding onto the seabed, Ye Cheng swam forward a little. A dark sea cucumber was rolling on the mud and sand, which Ye Cheng picked up without hesitation.
In fact, the underwater world is much richer than the beach. Besides the things worth picking up, there are also quite a few starfish.
However, Ye Cheng never liked to eat this stuff, and the price wasn't very good either, so he didn't pick it up.
Some pretty little fish swam by, but Ye Cheng only had a pair of pliers. Trying to catch fish with pliers was like trying to catch flies with chopsticks—basically nonsense.
There are also many small caves on the seabed, and there are usually things inside them. Ye Cheng saw two whiskers sticking out of the cave in front of him.
He inserted the pliers, and something tried to dodge, but the space inside was too small, and nothing could hide. Ye Cheng managed to pull it out—a large little green dragon.
Ye Cheng had just put the little green dragon in when he felt something moving in the seawater above. He looked up and saw that it seemed to be the little tigers calling.
There were no watches or anything underwater, so they couldn't see the time. Ye Cheng guessed that he had exceeded the time limit, and they were getting anxious.
Ye Cheng pushed off the seabed and swam straight up, emerging from the surface with a splash.
Sure enough, Chen Jinshui and Xiao Hu were already anxiously calling out from the beach.
"Second brother, you scared us to death! We called you for ages and there was no response. We thought you were dead," Chen Jinshui said anxiously.
Xiao Hu was alright; he pointed to his watch and said, "Brother, you've been downstairs for ten minutes."
Ye Cheng quickly explained, "No, I was just up here for a bit, and I didn't notice you two chatting."
"Oh, you came up here once, right? You scared me to death. I thought you were down here the whole time."
"Uncle, how could that be? I'm not a god." Ye Cheng said as he swam towards the sea and handed the net to Xiao Hu. "Clean the things out of here. You guys continue fishing, and I'll continue diving."
Xiao Hu casually took it, glanced at it, and said, "Brother, you made so much in such a short time?"
"Two crabs and a little green dragon, not bad, second brother, you're digging for treasure down there," Chen Jinshui joked.
"Hmm, there's a lot of stuff down here. Xiao Hu, can you put a water tank here for me? I can put the stuff in the water tank as soon as I bring it up."
"OK."
As Xiao Hu spoke, he walked upstairs, took down the water tank, and secured it with some stones so that Ye Cheng could put things in it.
"Uncle Jinshui, do you have any food?"
"I didn't get a bite, but Xiao Hu caught a sea bass."
