Chapter 462 The Zhu Brothers Have Caught Up

"Then...then she's having an affair with Ye Cheng, are we just going to ignore it?"

"I've already asked. She's going to work for Ye Cheng to earn money to support her family. Who said they're having an affair?" Chen Jinhai said calmly.

"Besides, she's widowed and Ye Cheng isn't married. Even if they're together, it's still a free love relationship. Why do you care so much?"

"Alright, I see now." Chen Hou's chest heaved dramatically as he pointed at Chen Jinhai.

"You're just afraid of Ye Cheng, aren't you? You don't dare to go against him, right?"

Chen Jinhai spread his hands.

"It's not a matter of whether we dare or not, but we need to have an explanation for going out. In ancient times, when we fought a war, we had to have a legitimate reason for it. You don't have one."

"She hit me, isn't that enough?"

"Then why didn't you hit her first? Besides, Ye Cheng didn't lift a finger. Why don't you take some men and beat Han Xiaotao up again?"

Chen Jinhai glanced at him disdainfully. How could he do something like kicking down a widow's door? He had no shame.

"You, you..." Chen Hou was speechless with arrogance. He really wouldn't dare to go alone if Chen Jinhai didn't help.

As for going to fight Han Xiaotao again, it would be easy to do so, but he was afraid that Ye Cheng would bring Han Xiaotao back to fight.

Moreover, Han Xiaotao's slap was quite unexpected; this usually weak woman actually dared to hit him.

The look in her eyes when she slapped herself is still a little frightening to think about.

"Uncle, if you ask me, let's just forget about it. Wouldn't it be better to use this time to think about how to make money? Look at Ye Cheng, he's making money every day. And you, you're still thinking about feudal superstitions every day. Forget it."

Seeing that Chen Jinhai refused to help him no matter what, Chen Houda had no choice but to leave dejectedly.

Han Xiaotao was extremely uneasy after returning home. Even though Ye Cheng told her that he would protect her, she was still afraid that Chen Houda would come knocking on her door again.

She found a door-blocking stick and tested it out. If Chen Houda brought people to the door, she would swing it and see whoever she hit. Ye Cheng was right; it wouldn't work if they just didn't fight back.

However, she waited all night and no one came to cause her any trouble, which surprised her. It seemed that the Chen family wasn't as powerful as she had imagined.

Early in the morning, she rode her tricycle to deliver the things to Ye Cheng. Ye Cheng was already up and washing up.

Seeing her approach, he immediately asked,

"How was it? Did anyone cause you any trouble last night?"

Han Xiaotao shook her head happily.

"No, Brother Cheng, no one's been here all night."

"That's right. Let me tell you, some people are just paper tigers. They may seem fierce, but when you get fierce, they cower."

Ye Cheng was referring to Chen Houda, but suddenly the four Zhu brothers, whom he was going to deal with today, came to mind. He hoped they were just paper tigers.

Otherwise, things will be a bit difficult.

After paying Han Xiaotao, Ye Cheng rode his bike to call Xiao Hu. Xiao Hu put a large sack on the bike, and the two looked at each other without saying a word.

Duan Chunsheng met up with the two at the village entrance, holding bait for longline fishing.

As soon as he got in the car, Duan Chunsheng asked worriedly,

"Second brother, are we going to run into them again today?"

Ye Cheng and Xiao Hu exchanged a smile.

"Uncle, I'm afraid I won't be able to run into you."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Duan Chunsheng was completely confused.

While Xiao Hu was pedaling the tricycle, Ye Cheng explained his plan.

After listening, Duan Chunsheng gave a big thumbs up.

"Okay, that's dark enough, that's your style."

"What are you saying? Aren't they corrupt? They're practically gangsters."

After the three arrived at the dock, they did not rush to set sail, as it was still morning.

The three of them strolled around the dock market, played a few rounds of billiards, and then leisurely ate lunch at Fatty's stir-fried dishes. They even proudly ordered seven or eight dishes, making Fatty so happy he couldn't stop grinning.

After eating and drinking their fill, they finally set off at sea at a leisurely pace.

Once the boat was out to sea, there was no need to load anything. Ye Cheng kept looking back to see if anyone was following.

"Brother, they should be able to see us, right?"

"Don't worry, we've made it so obvious. If they still can't see it, then they're really unprofessional."

Sure enough, not long after they set sail, a ship quickly caught up with them.

"Is it them?" Xiao Hu asked.

"It should be exactly the same as the last ship."

"Brother, this time we'll make sure they don't leave alive!"

Duan Chunsheng glanced at him.

"Are you acting in a TV drama? There's even a story of no return."

"Whether it's a TV series or not, if they want to follow, that's their own problem."

Xiao Hu is now filled with indignation; the fish thief deserves to die.

As planned, they didn't go to Coconut Crab Island this time, but instead turned around and drove back to the place where they had previously taken shelter from the storm.

The waters here are quite complex, so not many people come here.

After turning onto the side road, Ye Cheng looked back and saw that the boat had followed.

Xiao Hu was very excited.

"These guys are really bold, openly following us."

Ye Cheng glanced at the ship behind him, then suddenly said,

"Little Tiger, turn around and go meet them."

"Huh?" Little Tiger was taken aback. "Why are we going up to them? To fight?"

"I won't fight. I just want to ask them," Ye Cheng said calmly.

Seeing Ye Cheng's insistence, Xiao Hu didn't say anything; he would just follow Ye Cheng's instructions.

The boat turned around, and the boat behind it also began to slow down. Soon, the two boats stopped a few meters apart.

On the opposite boat stood four burly young men, the same four men I had seen before, the four Zhu brothers.

They stood at the bow of the ship, looking at Ye Cheng and his two companions with a defiant and disdainful expression.

Ye Cheng stepped forward and then said loudly,

"Are those guys from Xialing Village over there?"

Zhu Liwen took a step forward, looking arrogantly at Ye Cheng.

"What's wrong? Speak your mind or shut up."

Ye Cheng wasn't angry; he simply pointed at them calmly.

"Did you steal our fish traps and longlines last time?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the other side started shouting.

"Hey kid, watch your mouth! Who the hell stole anything?"

"Damn it, you think we'll just steal because you say so?"

A shouting match started over there, and Xiao Hu and Duan Chunsheng, not to be outdone, stood by the side of the boat, pointed at the other side, and joined in the shouting.

"Damn it, who else could it be but you guys? You were the ones who followed us last time."

"Heaven is watching what people do; you can find out by asking around at the docks. What's the point of hiding it?"

"Are you even a man? You dare to do it but not admit it?"

"A bunch of spineless bastards!"

Duan Chunsheng's insults were particularly harsh, even including vulgar language, which the other side found unbearable.

Zhu Liwen roared,

"So what if we did it? What are you going to do about it? You want to fight? Come on then."
