With his skill activated, Ye Cheng wasted no time, leaping around on the rocks like a monkey, trying to find crabs as quickly as possible.
Ye Cheng squatted down next to a large rock with a deep crevice underneath. He stuck his shovel in and dug a couple of times, but something immediately grabbed the shovel.
He had the goods, but there was something fishy going on, and he didn't dare to make a move.
"Brother, do you dare to grab him?" Ye Cheng shouted.
“I dare, what’s there to be afraid of? Come on.” Ye Guowei walked to the rock, reached in and quickly pulled out a large blue crab.
"Wow, bro, you're not afraid of getting bitten?"
Ye Guowei didn't reply. He threw the crab into the bucket and then reached his hand in. "It looks like there's another one left."
With half an arm already inside, Ye Guowei pulled out a blue crab.
Two blue crabs were found under a crevice in the rocks. Great, this doubled skill is good.
Ye Guowei went to tie up the crabs, while Ye Cheng continued walking forward.
I casually tapped the rock with a shovel, and a blue crab scurried out from under it, trying to escape in a panic.
Ye Cheng stepped on it and then grabbed it.
Before I could even make a move, another one darted out from the stones beneath my feet.
Holy crap, this is a crab plague!
"Little Tiger, come quick! Someone's trying to escape!" Ye Cheng shouted.
Little Tiger strode over and quickly caught up with the fleeing general, lifting it up.
"Brother, how come you have so many? I only have two over there," Little Tiger complained.
Ye Cheng proudly put the crab into the bucket, "That's right, even crabs recognize handsome guys."
Xiao Hu curled his lip in disdain, "I don't believe you for a second."
After saying that, Xiao Hu was about to walk back when he suddenly stopped. He felt something moving and looked down to see a blue crab wriggling in the sand beneath his feet.
"Brother, look, I'm handsome too."
"Okay, you're handsome too. Hurry up, there's not much time left," Ye Cheng urged.
Xiao Hu looked up at the sky and said, "It's still early. I could spend all day going beachcombing like this."
Ye Cheng checked his skill time; there were still 55 minutes left. Time was precious, so he decided not to waste it on him.
With his burst skill, Ye Cheng could find several blue crabs every two steps, leaving Ye Guowei behind him scrambling to keep up.
"Xiao Hu, open the snakeskin bag for my brother and put everything inside," Ye Cheng instructed. He didn't have time right now; he had to act quickly.
Xiao Hu responded and turned around to get the snakeskin bag for Ye Guowei.
The two men threw the already tied-up blue crabs from the bucket directly into the snakeskin bag.
The three of them were so busy that they didn't notice anything else.
Suddenly, a cry of surprise came from the shore: "So many blue crabs!"
Ye Cheng's expression hardened, and he turned around to look at Widow Zhang. She stared at the three of them with her mouth agape, completely incredulous.
She was sent by the village chief to monitor Ye Cheng and his group, mainly to keep an eye on them and prevent them from going to other areas to go beachcombing.
But just now, when she was strolling over, she saw with her own eyes a lot of blue crabs.
They actually used snakeskin bags to pack blue crabs?!
My goodness! You know, normally you'd be incredibly lucky to find one or two while beachcombing.
What are those three doing?
Did they raid the blue crab's lair?
They've all started using burlap sacks.
She just counted them roughly, there must be dozens, and this one is huge.
It is twice the size of a regular blue crab.
Seeing Zhang the widow's state, they figured she would definitely go and tell the village chief.
Xiao Hu and Ye Guowei stared intently at Ye Cheng, waiting for him to speak.
Looking at the two of them, Ye Cheng was also helpless. Couldn't you come up with some ideas?
“Auntie, you’re here just in time. Come and help us out. We’re short-handed. I’ll give you a few later,” Ye Cheng said to Widow Zhang.
Widow Zhang originally intended to report to the village chief, but Ye Cheng's shout made her stop and hesitate.
“Auntie, what are you thinking about? I’ve told you before, there’s no benefit for you following the village chief. You might as well help us. Come down and lend a hand, and I’ll give you three blue crabs in a bit,” Ye Cheng continued.
"Three? You said it." Widow Zhang was completely tempted.
She didn't have a stable income and was penniless. These three blue crabs were worth a lot of money, and if Ye Cheng really kept his word, she wouldn't mind helping him.
“Three, don’t worry, I keep my word. But you have to help with the work, you can’t just take them for free,” Ye Cheng said firmly.
Ye Cheng didn't say he'd give her three for free; there's a huge difference between the two.
If she gave it to him for free, Widow Zhang would think she had something on Ye Cheng and might become even more greedy in the future.
However, if she were to do some work in exchange, Widow Zhang's status would change, and she would become a laborer, naturally leading to a change in her mindset.
With years of experience in large companies, Ye Cheng understands the intricacies involved.
Of course, these are all for those future elites. People today are relatively simple-minded, so there may not be any need for this.
Hearing that she would have to work to earn the reward, Widow Zhang was truly relieved.
"Alright, what do you need me to do?" Widow Zhang rolled up her trouser legs and got down.
"You can help my brother tie up crabs, right?"
"Yes, this is just ordinary work." Widow Zhang picked up a crab and skillfully tied it up.
A mother's strength is boundless; it's truly not easy for a woman to raise a child alone, as she has to be skilled in everything.
"Auntie, you did a great job," Ye Cheng praised.
"That's right, Auntie is also very good at housework. If you need any work in the future, remember to call Auntie."
As she spoke, Widow Zhang eagerly took crabs from the bucket and started eating them.
"Okay, I'll call you next time something comes up."
In business and in life, having more friends means having more options.
Great men do great things, and small men do small things. Even with just his two brothers Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, Liu Bei couldn't have accomplished such great things.
With Widow Zhang's help, Ye Cheng started looking for crabs with peace of mind, while Ye Guowei helped catch them; the group had a clear division of labor.
With 10 minutes left on his skill, Ye Cheng realized something was wrong; he couldn't find the crab.
I searched several rocks, but found nothing.
"Little Tiger, how are things on your end?" Ye Cheng asked.
"Brother, it seems like it's gone. I've been looking for it for ages." Xiao Hu shook his head.
Ye Cheng understood; his luck stat was 50, and it was still that number.
Today's luck is low, and so is the output.
Just to be on the safe side, Ye Cheng continued searching for another half hour, finding a few small stone crabs, some mussels and scallops, but nothing else.
"Alright, let's call it a day," Ye Cheng called out.
"Aren't we going to do it?" Ye Guowei asked.
"Hmm, that's about it. There's nothing left to look for. Let's see how many there are in total."
