Chapter 46 Two Big Lobsters

Just as he was about to probe deeper, he saw a tail swing over, and with a splash, a handful of seawater hit his face, revealing the creature's true form.

A large lobster.

Damn! Lobster.

Ye Cheng wasn't afraid of this thing; it wasn't a crab. He simply lay down halfway down, grabbed the lobster, and lifted it up.

The lobster, thicker than his own arm, was being vigorously swung back and forth in Ye Chengguo's hands.

"Brother, a giant lobster!" Little Tiger exclaimed in surprise.

Regardless of the era, lobsters have always been a symbol of high-end seafood. This lobster is quite large and could fetch a good price.

Ye Cheng said excitedly, "I told you there was a big shipment."

"Dude, you're really awesome. I've never seen anyone catch a lobster while beachcombing before."

Ye Cheng chuckled. "That's right, I wouldn't have been able to see it even without the system."

"Let's look again!" Ye Cheng was in high spirits after catching a lobster. He followed Xiao Hu and searched around the bottom of the puddle again, but this time there was nothing left.

"Damn it, there's only one." Ye Cheng was a little annoyed.

"One is enough, aren't you satisfied?" Xiao Hu rolled his eyes at Ye Cheng.

"Then let's go up and continue."

Ye Cheng and Xiao Hu climbed out of the puddle, completely soaked, but it didn't matter. As long as there was merchandise, what did getting wet matter? They could even lose their virginity.

"Brother, shall we continue?" Xiao Hu asked. After these few days of beachcombing, he had come to appreciate the experience. Ye Cheng wasn't doing endless beachcombing; there was a set timeframe.

"Keep going, there should be more," Ye Cheng said as he walked forward.

He had just gotten his hands on a big lobster, and he was itching to keep going. How could he possibly stop now? Besides, he had been getting a steady supply of lobsters, so his luck must still be working out.

The two walked forward for a while and came to a stream.

Yes, a stream.

It flows down from Liucun into the sea. It's not really a stream, just a small ditch carved out by a current, where seawater and freshwater mix.

"Look, what's this called? This is called rivers flowing into the sea," Ye Cheng exclaimed, casually kicking a stone with his foot.

Before the words were even finished, the thing under the rock shrank back, and a few whiskers swayed wildly.

"Damn, bro, it's lobsters again." Xiao Hu's mouth dropped open. Lobsters are so easy to find, you can just kick one and there.

Now that it was out, Ye Cheng unceremoniously put it into the bucket.

"No, brother, I'll look for it too."

Seeing that Ye Cheng had caught two lobsters, Xiao Hu's damn competitive spirit kicked in again.

He searched the entire stream but only managed to catch a few bamboo shrimp; there wasn't even a hair on a lobster.

"Hey, Little Tiger, it's all about luck, not brute force," Ye Cheng said smugly, his net still busy scooping up a few mantis shrimps from the sea.

The seafood at the border area is quite varied. Ye Cheng and Xiao Hu walked down the stream and, in addition to shrimp, picked up a few chub and some small shrimp.

"That's about it, that should be enough for today." Ye Cheng wiped the sweat from his forehead.

I checked the time; it was almost noon.

"Okay, bro, I'm exhausted too. Beachcombing is really tiring."

The two returned along the same route, and all three snakeskin bags were packed up and placed in the seawater. The two large lobsters were treated better, each placed in a separate bucket, each with its own individual enclosure.

"Brother, how much are we going to sell these? Should we take them to the city? Won't they die?" Xiao Hu looked at the three bags of shrimp with worry.

Indeed, this thing is neither a seashell nor a sea cucumber; it will likely die once it leaves the water. Dead shrimp and live shrimp have two different prices.

If the two of them had gone back carrying the burlap sack, then gone to find Li Yong, and driven into the city to find Boss Qian, then at least a third of the shrimp would have died.

We need to find another way.

Ye Cheng took out his phone and made a call to President Qian.

"Hey, Xiao Ye, you've got some good stuff for your big brother again?" Qian Zong's hearty laughter came from the other end of the phone.

Ye Cheng always manages to get his hands on good stuff, and his business has improved a lot recently. Now Ye Cheng is definitely his god of wealth.

"Mr. Qian seems to be in a good mood." Ye Cheng didn't get straight to the point; in business, a few pleasantries were necessary.

"That's right, thanks to you! Many of our regular customers are waiting for your goods. Tell me quickly, is there anything good? Don't worry, I'll wait for you at the hotel, I won't go anywhere else, I promise." Ye Cheng could hear Mr. Qian patting his chest so hard through the phone.

Ye Cheng smiled and said, "I do have some. I got some shrimp, but as you know, Mr. Qian, I don't own a car, and shrimp can't live without water."

"I understand, I understand, brother. Baiyun Village, right? I'm coming right away."

"It's not Baiyun Village, it's Liu Village next door. Bring some water tanks with you, or they'll all die."

"Don't worry, I know how to do this. Wait for me, I'll be there in forty minutes."

Having arranged a time with Boss Qian, Ye Cheng wasn't in a hurry and slowly finished his cigarette.

Looking at the sky, he realized it was getting late. He took out 20 yuan and gave it to Xiaohu, saying, "Go find Da Liu and the others to buy two instant noodles and two bottles of soda."

"Huh? I know instant noodles, but what's 'happy water'?"

Ye Cheng patted his head. At that time, cola was just called cola. It was only in later generations that it became known as "fat otaku's happy water".

"It's Coke, see if they have any chilled, chilled is refreshing."

"Oh, calling it 'happy water' is quite fitting, it really does make you happy after drinking it."

Little Tiger happily took the money and went to buy it. About ten minutes later, he came back carrying a thermos and instant noodles.

"Big Liu said he'd give us a thermos so we could make our own tea," Little Tiger said.

"Hmm, Liu's service is pretty good."

"He even asked us if we were having a lot of fun, jumping around like that."

"I'm here to make money, not to play around, damn it."

The two tore open their instant noodles and found a larger rock to sit on.

With seawater underfoot, instant noodles in your mouth, and then a sip of ice-cold cola, it has a unique flavor, I must say.

...

Over there, Da Liu sat leisurely in a small pavilion by the sea, enjoying the sea breeze. Watching Xiao Hu's retreating figure, he turned back to the person behind him and said,

"What are they doing? Are they getting carried away with this? Are they planning to continue after they finish their instant noodles?"

"Brother, maybe they're just beachcombing?"

"What a load of clam-catching! He just spent over ten yuan on things, plus the cost of cigarettes. The stuff he sold at the beach didn't even cover his expenses," Da Liu said dismissively.

"You have to use your brain to make money, you know? Like your older brother, doing some small business, isn't that great?" Big Liu looked at the beach outside, a longing expression on his face.

Half an hour later, a small truck drove up.

"Brother, these are cars outside. Are they here to go beachcombing?" The younger brother spotted them immediately.
