A beautiful photo every day
"Ring ring ring ring..."
Urged on by the alarm clock, a new day begins.
As soon as Chen Zhiyao opened her eyes, she smelled a rich fragrance coming from her own home.
Upon smelling that familiar aroma, she knew it must be seafood noodles made by her grandmother.
Thinking of her grandmother's delicious cooking, Chen Zhiyao unconsciously swallowed, then threw off the covers and hurried to the bathroom to wash up.
When Chen Zhiyao arrived in the living room, she saw a large bowl of steaming seafood noodles on the table.
Octopus, squid, clams, small crabs, and prawns—a variety of delicious seafood piled high, whetting the appetite.
Ah Huang was already drooling, waiting expectantly under the table.
As soon as Chen Zhiyao sat down, Grandma Chen and Yan Shuting got up and went out to go beachcombing.
Immediately afterwards, Grandpa Chen and Chen Weiqiang came over to have breakfast together.
Chen Weiqiang was already green with envy when he found out yesterday that the two had caught several three-knife fish and that his daughter had even caught a large sea bream weighing over 20 kilograms.
Having been out of work for several days, he was itching to go fishing, so he decided to quit his shop and go with the two to Danshui Island.
After breakfast, the grandfather and grandson hurriedly went out, leaving only poor Ah Huang locked in the yard to guard the house.
Seafood prices have skyrocketed in the last couple of days, so villagers are going to the beach to catch seafood with extra enthusiasm.
When the three arrived at the beach, they saw many people gathering seafood in the distance. It was bustling and lively, just like a big market.
When the three arrived at the dock, they were met by a middle-aged man with a very honest and simple smile.
"Uncle Chen, Brother Weiqiang, are you three going out to sea to fish?"
“Yeah, there’s not much seafood on the village beach, so we’re going out to try our luck. Zhu Zi, where are you going?” Chen Weiqiang replied cheerfully.
"Good morning, Uncle Liu!" Chen Zhiyao greeted him politely.
"Tangtang has grown so much. Someone from the next village rented my boat to go out to sea and came over to deliver the keys."
Liu Dazhu is Chen Weiqiang's childhood friend. The two used to play together a lot when they were young, and they still occasionally go fishing together.
Liu Dazhu's family also owns a small fishing boat, but fishing is no longer profitable, so he rents the boat out to others to earn rent.
Actually, they wanted to sell their fishing boat, but because it was only bought two years ago, they asked for a high price and couldn't sell it.
Yan Shuting had inquired before and learned that the fishing boat was bought a couple of years ago and was quite well-equipped, but it was expensive.
For a 7.8-meter boat, Liu Dazhu asked for 160,000 yuan, a price that could buy a brand new boat.
The Chen family felt that the price of 160,000 was unnecessary for buying an old boat, or that they could use the money to buy a 12-meter boat.
Since they couldn't agree on the price, the two companies rarely discussed it again to avoid hurting their relationship.
After exchanging a few brief pleasantries, the group went about their own business.
As they approached Danshui Island, Chen Zhiyao activated the fish finder on the boat.
However, we didn't encounter any large schools of fish along the way; we mostly encountered small fish in twos and threes.
Remembering that there were two three-knife fish in the trap yesterday, Chen Zhiyao finally decided to put the fishing net and trap back in the same spot as yesterday.
The time spent setting up the nets was a little longer, and by the time the three of them arrived at the rocky beach, the tide had already receded by more than half.
Chen Weiqiang, who is bad at fishing but addicted to it, originally wanted to go fishing directly, but was dragged over to the beach by the old man.
"We have a whole day on the island today, so there's no rush to go fishing."
The old man said nice things, but he was actually complaining about his son's fishing skills.
Instead of going back empty-handed from fishing, it's better to spend some time beachcombing and at least collect some seashells and conches.
If all else fails, at least we can get some oysters; it's better than this guy going home empty-handed all day.
Chen Weiqiang, who was diligently turning over stones, had no idea that his old man thought this way about him; otherwise, he would probably be furious.
Although Chen Weiqiang was a bit unlucky when fishing, he was quite lucky when beachcombing, finding several whelks and a large blue crab right away.
Chen Zhiyao also had a good haul. Just as she put on her gloves, she saw a small red creature in a crevice at her feet.
Red Flower Crab
"There's a red flower crab right here. Not bad, not bad. This kind of crab is more expensive than a blue crab."
He reached out with his all-purpose tongs and pulled the red flower crab out of the crevice in the rock.
However, this crab wasn't very fat, weighing only about four ounces.

The see-through function for beachcombing is available for three hours a day, plus the unused time from before, so there are still six hours left.
After tying up the red flower crab, Chen Zhiyao immediately turned on her X-ray glasses.
Immediately afterwards, she discovered two red flower crabs, one large and one small, behind a large rock directly in front of her.
They were fighting over a small fish, the larger one holding the fish's head firmly, and the smaller one holding its tail, pulling back and forth like in a tug-of-war.
Chen Zhiyao watched the excitement for a while with a smile, then picked up the large red flower crab.
He quickly tied it up tightly, and then used the same method to tie up the small red flower crab as well.
Red Flower Crab +2
As for the small fish, its gills were black and it had a faint stench, so it was no longer edible.
Chen Zhiyao had no choice but to keep it as food for other marine creatures that might be destined to live with it.
She had only taken a few steps when she discovered two small snails hidden under a rock two meters away.
Just as I walked over, I discovered a palm-sized conch hiding in a crevice in the rocks.
After wandering around the area, she found a total of two conch shells, an octopus, and a large bunch of various sea snails.
As she walked, Chen Zhiyao suddenly stepped on something soft.
She was terrified of these soft-bodied animals, so she quickly took two big steps back.
When I came to my senses, I realized that an octopus was hiding under a layer of fine sand.
When Chen Zhiyao dug the poor octopus out, she found that it had been trampled and looked like it was on its last legs.
Although it was injured, it was still edible, so Chen Zhiyao casually put it back into the bucket.

After taking two steps forward, the sharp-eyed Chen Zhiyao spotted a very brightly colored little creature in a small puddle.
"These orchid crabs are quite plump."
She was just about to pick up the orchid crab when she got closer and discovered that its two pincers were holding a sesame eel that looked almost exactly like the surrounding rocks.
Orchid crab and conger eel
Chen Zhiyao picked up the orchid crab, and then noticed that the sesame eel was no longer moving.
She was about to pick it up to see if it was still edible when she looked down and smelled a foul odor.
It seems that these dead fish and rotten shrimp are quite attractive to crabs. Chen Zhiyao took out a net and put the eel and the smelly fish into it.
There are quite a few dead fish like these on the beach. I'll collect them all, find a puddle to bait the spot before I leave, and come back in a few days to drain the puddle.
Chen Zhiyao had only used the water pump she bought before twice, but now she was already thinking about it again.
Through the X-ray glasses, Chen Zhiyao saw a rather large octopus hiding under a rock to her right.
Chen Zhiyao stepped forward with light steps and easily overturned the heavy stone weighing dozens of kilograms in front of her with one hand.
Then a large octopus weighing over two pounds was exposed to the sun.

The octopus was injured and not very active, so Chen Zhiyao easily picked it up.

Turning her head, she spotted several more large snails, which she also collected.
Chen Zhiyao carried the bucket towards the sea, and the bucket was filled with more and more seafood.
