"Gurgle, gurgle!"
Just as Chen Zhiyao finished baiting the fish, a loud sound came from her stomach.
She subconsciously touched her stomach, which was pounding like a drum, and suddenly realized a serious problem:
She had completely forgotten to eat breakfast.
I looked down and took out my phone; it was already 11 o'clock.
She couldn't help but worry: should she go have breakfast now, or would it be better to go straight to lunch?
This in-between time is rather awkward.
Chen Zhiyao, who was still hesitating, went to the kitchen and found that there was no food at all.
Breakfast was sold out long ago, and the remaining food was eaten by the staff. Lunch, on the other hand, is still being prepared.
Left with no other choice, she turned around and went to the ship's convenience store.
I bought a whole bag of various flavored potato chips, bread rolls, chocolates, and lollipops.
After filling her rumbling stomach, Chen Zhiyao gently moved her slightly sore arms and wrists.
Immediately afterwards, with a slight exertion of his arm, he cast the bait into the calm, mirror-like sea.
The bait traced a graceful arc in the air before falling into the water with a "plop," creating ripples on the surface.
As the ripples slowly spread, the sinker, carrying the struggling squid and its hook, quickly sank into the water.
The fresh squid emitted an enticing aroma, and its movements became even more sluggish after being hooked.
In no time, the fish in the sea all set their sights on this delicious but weak squid.
Just as Chen Zhiyao started eating her lollipop, the previously calm fishing line suddenly yanked downwards, taut as if it were about to snap.
Immediately afterwards, a powerful pulling force came from underwater, like a ferocious beast trying to break free of its restraints.
Feeling the strong pull in her hand, Chen Zhiyao was overjoyed; another big fish had taken the bait!
She quickly stretched out both hands, gripped the fishing rod tightly, and pulled it upwards with all her might.
At that moment, the fishhook pierced deep into the fish's body, and the intense pain instantly made its eyes turn red.
The fish, provoked, went berserk and almost completely lost its mind, struggling desperately in the water.
The force generated by the fish was continuously transmitted to Chen Zhiyao through the fishing line and rod, almost pulling her into the vast sea.
Fortunately, at the critical moment, she gritted her teeth and did her best to steady herself.
Once she had regained her footing, she looked at the trembling fishing rod, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes, and excitedly shouted:
"Wow! That force! It's definitely a big guy. We've run into two giants weighing over 100 pounds in a row. We're incredibly lucky today."
Feeling another sharp tug on the fishing rod, Chen Zhiyao's smile widened, and she couldn't help but mutter to herself:
"This fish is a bit smaller than the brown-banded grouper from before, but it must weigh at least 100 pounds. I wonder if it's a grouper or a tuna!"
The enormous creature in the water possessed astonishing strength, and its violent pulling only fueled her excitement.
Chen Zhiyao struggled with it for about 20 minutes, and then felt as if the muscles in her waist and arms were being pricked by thousands of fine needles at the same time, and the soreness came over her like a tidal wave.
She knew that it would be difficult for her to pull up this huge object weighing over 100 pounds by herself alone.
So he quickly turned to Uncle Li, who was already eager to try, beside him:
"Uncle Li, come quickly and help me! I can't hold on much longer!"
Uncle Li highly recognized Chen Zhiyao's skill and luck, knowing that she would definitely come over to fish again soon.
He simply stopped moving, leisurely took a small stool and sat down not far away, quietly waiting for this moment to arrive.
At that moment, he was happily fantasizing about how he would show off his skills later, and ideally catch a bluefin tuna.
When he heard Chen Zhiyao send out another distress signal, Uncle Li was so excited he almost jumped off the bench.
He quickly got up, rushed to Chen Zhiyao's side, and happily took the fishing rod.
And so, the two took turns attacking, constantly wearing down the big fish's stamina.
Even lunch was eaten by the two of them in turns, taking advantage of any spare moments.
Time passed by, and after more than an hour, the once energetic and powerful creature gradually became exhausted and its swimming speed slowed down.
Seeing that the fish had no strength to resist, Chen Zhiyao made a decisive move and decided to take it down in one fell swoop.
She gripped the fishing rod tightly with both hands and spun the reel handle rapidly, almost causing sparks to fly.
With each rotation of the reel, the fishing line is reeled in a certain distance, and the exhausted fish is pulled closer slowly.
Sweat streamed down Chen Zhiyao's forehead, but her gaze remained unwavering.
Meanwhile, Uncle Li, who was resting on a small stool, was covered in sweat, and his clothes were soaked with sweat.
After some hard work, the two successfully retrieved most of the fishing line.
At this moment, the large, dark shadow that was faintly visible on the sea was slowly approaching the fishing boat.
As the fishing line gets shorter and shorter, the air pressure in the seawater undergoes subtle changes.
The large fish in the sea keenly sensed the approaching danger, and its previously calmed state suddenly turned into agitation and restlessness.
Although it was exhausted, its strong will to survive, deep within its heart, ignited its last bit of strength like a burning flame.
Suddenly, it swung its tail, pulling the fishing line that had just been retracted out again.
Faced with such a sudden change, Chen Zhiyao did not panic.
She gritted her teeth, used all her strength to hold onto the fishing line tightly, and shouted loudly for Uncle Li to come and help.
The two of them worked together to control the fishing rods and finally managed to stabilize the fishing line, which was about to go out of control.
With their persistent efforts, the fishing line was gradually pulled back in.
Suddenly, with a loud "splash," a huge creature more than a meter long burst out of the water amidst the splashing water!
However, this was not the grouper or tuna that one might expect, but a sailfish with a peculiar appearance.
Looking at this rare sailfish, Chen Zhiyao's heart raced with excitement, and her eyes sparkled with joy.
It's important to know that sailfish are considered one of the most prized marine fish, and their price is naturally quite high.
At this moment, the staff who had been waiting nearby quickly pushed the crane over to help.
Ten minutes later, the ship's cheerful announcement rang out again:
"Congratulations to the angler at fishing spot number 6 for successfully catching a 116-pound sailfish! We sincerely wish all the anglers here today the best of luck in catching their own giants!"
Hearing the cheerful broadcast, Chen Zhiyao was so happy she couldn't stop smiling, and she immediately sent Uncle Li a big red envelope.
Uncle Li decided not to leave and has been staying at fishing spot number 6 for the past few days.
