Chapter 230 Catching Seafood Underwater (Part 3)

Before me lay a patch of lush green seaweed, and beneath it, a plump giant sea cucumber lurked.

Saying it's a whole patch is an exaggeration; there are at most ten or so.

However, these sea cucumbers were quite large, and Chen Zhiyao, beaming with excitement, stuffed them all into the net bag, which weighed about three or four pounds.

While picking up sea cucumbers, she also grabbed a large eel weighing about three pounds.

Actually, under the seaweed, besides sea cucumbers, there are many starfish that look particularly beautiful.

Pink, purple, orange, patterned, spotted—each one is vibrant, eye-catching, and very beautiful.

However, seeing that the nets she brought were almost full, Chen Zhiyao glanced at them a few more times before turning around and heading to the next place.

She now has four nets in her hands: one containing various conch shells and the sea cucumbers she just caught, one containing sea fish, one containing eels, and the last one is specifically for holding crabs.

Except for the net bag for the conger eels, which was relatively empty, the other three were about seven or eight tenths full.

After swimming a while longer, Chen Zhiyao suddenly stopped.

Underneath the rocks in front of them, there were two conch shells, each larger than their own fists.

These two conches are not only large, but also exceptionally long, each weighing about a pound.

Conch +2

Thinking about the current price of conch, Chen Zhiyao smiled even more broadly, realizing she had earned several hundred more.

Actually, there were several round, plump pig snails and a nest of spicy snails on the reef.

However, these conches were cheap, and Chen Zhiyao disliked that they took up too much space, so she simply ignored them.

However, she didn't miss out on other expensive seafood, and soon her net bag contained several more rock bream.

Passing through the red coral in front of her, Chen Zhiyao immediately saw a low-lying area ahead with several black objects inside.

Upon closer inspection, they were indeed several sea urchins.

These sea urchins weren't very big, but the price was decent, so Chen Zhiyao picked them all up and took them home.

Just then, a small blue creature ran sideways past.

Chen Zhiyao looked up and saw a blue crab, so she quickly chased after it.

But I didn't expect it to be too late. I watched helplessly as a large sea eel, weighing four or five pounds, bit the blue crab to death and ate half of it in one big bite.

Watching the giant eel feasting, Chen Zhiyao felt particularly heartbroken. This orchid crab could easily sell for tens of yuan, yet it was bitten to death like this.

However, the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.

The giant eel, which was enjoying its orchid crab, was suddenly picked up and put into a net bag to reunite with its companions.

She didn't even take the remaining half of the crab, thoughtfully leaving it for other marine life to eat.

...

The variety of seafood on the seabed was indeed more abundant than on the beach and rocky shore after the tide receded. Chen Zhiyao was having a great time on the seabed and even wandered further and further away.

Worried about his daughter, Chen Weiqiang kept a close eye on her, following Chen Zhiyao at a distance, fearing that something might happen.

He, who had never had much luck with beachcombing and fishing, had much better luck after following Chen Zhiyao, and his nets were almost full.

The father and daughter had a great time underwater, and Grandpa Chen was also busy.

As soon as the two got into the water, the old man took the lucky fishing rod that his granddaughter had given him and started fishing.

Fearing it might disturb the two people on the seabed, Grandpa Chen specially replaced the large bottom fishing hook with a small one, specifically to fish for small fish in the upper waters.

Grandpa Chen was also lucky; not long after, he encountered a group of yellow-legged waxworts.

With a lucky fishing rod in hand, the fish eagerly scramble to take the bait, one after another, making it incredibly exciting.

Grandpa Chen was so engrossed in fishing that he didn't notice a fishing boat moored not far away.

Quite by coincidence, this fishing boat was Chen Feng's fishing boat, and many of the people on board were old acquaintances.

Besides Lao Wang, the three bosses who had chartered the boat to fish for tuna together before were also there. The four of them hadn't even caught any tuna yet, but they were already bragging.

Li Nuo, who is on good terms with Chen Zhiyao, also brought a close friend to go fishing with her.

The two girls were rather introverted, so they specifically chose a fishing spot at the stern of the boat.

Li Nuo's best friend is a novice, and she even borrows Li Nuo's fishing rod. When she tries to catch fish, she is very flustered.

However, this little girl has a pretty strong newbie aura; she immediately gets hooked by a big fish.

The fish was very strong, pulling hard with each thud, almost causing the little girl to lose her balance.

Just as Li Nuo was about to go over and help, she didn't expect that her own fishing rod had also caught a fish. So she had to play the fish while instructing her friend on how to fish.

The two were flustered, but both were very excited and sweating profusely from nervousness.

Chen Zhiyao was unaware of the situation on the two fishing boats; at that moment, she was happily searching for treasures on the seabed.

Although no priceless treasures were found, a considerable amount of coconut snails, weighing over a pound, were collected.

Seeing that the nets in her hands were getting fuller and fuller, and the contents were getting heavier and heavier, Chen Zhiyao was about to go upstairs first.

Just then, Xiaomeng suddenly reminded her:

"Tangtang, swim another ten meters or so, there's something good there."

Chen Zhiyao always believed Xiaomeng without question, and immediately swam forward happily like a fish.

"Wow, so many little green dragons! Xiaomeng, you're amazing!"

Chen Zhiyao walked forward happily and stopped in front of the largest little green dragon.

Little Green Dragon

This little green dragon is particularly large; it must weigh at least a pound and a half, if not two.

Chen Zhiyao grinned, quickly grabbed it, and put it in her pouch.

Then she found all the little green dragons that were hidden under the sand, in the crevices of the rocks, and under the seaweed.

After searching the surrounding area, she collected a total of seven small green dragons weighing over one pound each.

These net bags are now completely full; even if we found some really valuable items, we couldn't fit them in.

Chen Zhiyao glanced at her father not far away and saw that the net bag in his hand was almost full.

So he gestured to him that he was going back.

Chen Weiqiang first nodded, then made an upward gesture.

The father and daughter were about to turn back when a large fish weighing several tens of kilograms suddenly rushed towards them.

The lighting was poor in the sea, so the father and daughter didn't see that the fish had a hook in its mouth and a fishing line was attached to its mouth.

This big guy was very fast. Before Chen Zhiyao could even see what kind of fish it was, she heard a loud noise from ahead, as if someone had fallen into the water.
