Chapter 83 Clearing Up the Misunderstanding

"No, I'm going to buy chili peppers." Mingjing ignored him and turned to leave on her motorcycle.

"Stop!" Xie Junan grabbed the handlebars of his motorcycle, puzzled. "Even if I die, you have to let me die knowing why. What did I do to offend you?"

Mingjing was clearly getting impatient; when did their relationship become so close that they were being so persistent?

"Boss Xie, I don't think we're that close yet. I really didn't expect you to be that kind of person, using the guise of going to a foot massage parlor to do that kind of thing, and even taking us along."

"I'll let it slide for Uncle Dong's sake, get out of the way!"

Xie Jun'an became increasingly confused by these words. "What did I do? It's a legitimate foot massage parlor. Are you mistaken?"

"I heard it last time, what your female technicians were saying about men being useless. Do I need to spell it out?"

Dong Li stared at the two for a while, and when he realized something was wrong, he immediately stepped in to smooth things over, "Mingjing, you must have misunderstood. They were getting a foot massage."

As they spoke, Dong Li and Xie Junan couldn't help but laugh.

"You guys chat, don't fight," Dong Li said with a smile as he went back into the house.

"Massage the soles of your feet, the kidney reflex zone." Xie Jun'an couldn't help but turn his head and laugh so hard his shoulders shook, one hand on his hip and the other on his forehead.

What's going on in this girl's head?

After saying that, Mingjing wished she could disappear into a crack in the ground, her fair face turning as red as a persimmon.

"I...I misunderstood, I'm leaving now," Mingjing said awkwardly, trying to turn the motorcycle handlebars but unable to.

"Car keys..." Xie Jun'an reminded him, suppressing a laugh.

Mingjing was even more embarrassed. She lowered her head and pretended to be busy, stuffing the duck parts and drinks under the car seat, muttering, "I know."

The sunlight shone directly on Mingjing's collarbone, making it appear crystal clear and white. Looking further down, Xie Jun'an stared intently.

After getting everything in order, Mingjing looked up and caught a glimpse of that strange gaze. Her already awkward expression turned into anger.

What are you looking at?

"It's nothing, Mingjing. I didn't expect you to care about me going to the foot massage parlor. Don't do such strange things in the future, or I'll think you're interested in me."

Xie Jun'an snapped out of his daze, revealing eight teeth as he faced the rising sun, radiating handsomeness and exuding righteousness.

At this moment, Mingjing was both angry and annoyed, wishing she could bite this guy. She retorted, "Don't worry, I wouldn't be interested in you, no matter who I'm interested in."

Before leaving, she gave Xie Jun'an the middle finger, grabbed the handlebars, and sped away.

"Aren't you going to bring some dishes back with you? I'll save some for you." Xie Jun'an called out into the distance.

Mingjing pouted and muttered, "Eat your mother."

As they descended the dock, Mingjing saw a group of people gathered in the distance. Only when the motorcycle drove over did he realize that it was Ming Dashan's family, followed by Old Zhao and his son.

When Ming Dashan was released, a group of people surrounded him in the village and asked him what had happened. He was full of resentment, and seeing Ming Jing made him even angrier.

"Second Uncle, are you alright? You've lost so much weight these past few days. I just got back from shopping. Leilei's coming home today, want to grab something to eat together?"

Ming Dashan was so angry he couldn't speak. Ming Xingwang, who was standing next to him, cursed, "You brat, are you happy now? Dad is out on bail pending trial."

"They fined us eight thousand yuan, but the thing is, we didn't do anything. Isn't that unfair? Did you orchestrate this?"

Mingjing scolded him, making a veiled attack, "Cousin, what are you saying? Don't wrong an innocent person. This is my second uncle. How could I do such a thing? Would he even be human?"

"Alright, that's enough! Let's go home," Ming Dashan said, his anger flaring.

Mingjing felt it wasn't lively enough, glanced at the honest Zhao Liang'an behind her, and grinned mischievously, "Uncle Zhao, come to my house for a drink, we've prepared a lot of dishes today."

Ming Dashan recalled that Lao Zhao had insisted that he was the one who had conspired with Ming Jing to frame him.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. She turned around and lunged at Old Zhao, raising her hand to punch him.

"You bastard! You dare bite me?"

Old Zhao was also furious, and he grabbed Ming Dashan's arm, and the two started to scuffle.

Seeing that Lao Zhao was losing, Zhao Dali rushed up to fight, and the Ming family also joined the battle, and a group of people grappled together.

Mingjing was satisfied and quickly fled the battlefield on his motorcycle.

On the way, Mingjing was so happy that he almost rode up a tree.

When they arrived home, the crabs had already been steamed and taken out. Two pots in the kitchen were on fire, and Sun Yang's family had come over early to help.

"Mom, I'll make it for you."

Mingjing parked his motorcycle, took out the duck products and wine and placed them in the main room, then rolled up his sleeves and started working.

Cooking more dishes today will earn me a lot of points.

Ming Dahai kept looking towards the door, afraid of missing his grandson's first sight.

"Mingjing, what's going on with that homestead?" Sun Yang asked, still thinking about it as he washed the cured meat.

“I want to set up a receiving point. Two shops will be just enough. You guys will be in charge of receiving the goods, and we'll go to the beach to contact the big boss to deliver them.”

Sun Yang was so happy he couldn't see his eyes, and kept praising it.

"How far have we progressed?" Zhang Qiao asked with concern.

"I'm just waiting for the seller to come over to discuss the house. Once I pay, I can take possession."

Ming Dahai stood at the doorway, puffing on his pipe and exhaling a smoke ring. "I heard Old Zhao is back. Will it be okay to receive the goods?"

"Why not? At worst, each village can rely on its own abilities."

No one stipulated that there could only be one receiving station on the island. She wanted to control Lao Zhao's resources as well, so that when Lao Zhao couldn't hold on any longer, he would naturally come to her.

"Mingjing, you've really got some skills now. Those who have studied really are different," Sun Yang said with a long-lost smile.

Mingjing turned to look at the twin sisters, "You two aren't planning on going to school?"

The twins stared at Sun Yang and shook their heads helplessly. "Our family is poor. After the younger brother was born, we had even less money to send him to school."

Zhang Qiao looked embarrassed and tried to smooth things over, saying, "Soon, once Mingjing opens the delivery point, we'll have money, and then we'll send you all to school."

Mingjing sighed but said nothing.

They're all relatives, so she'll naturally help if she can, but if they're too ungrateful, she's not one to back down. The shop hasn't even opened yet.

She will have to make some things clear when the time comes.

"Mingyue, take your two older sisters to the dock to greet your sister-in-law and nephew," Sun Yunmei said anxiously, glancing at the door as they hadn't arrived yet.

After a while, the three of them still hadn't returned. Just as Mingliang was about to go look for them, the three of them came back hand in hand.

"Why have you been gone for so long? Your sister-in-law hasn't arrived yet?" Ming Dahai looked at the door with disappointment.

He feared that Liu Feng had changed her mind and was unwilling to send the child back.

"No, the passenger ship hasn't arrived yet. We got impatient and came back first. Guess what news I heard?" Mingyue said mysteriously.

"Speak quickly," Sun Yunmei urged.

"My second uncle and Uncle Zhao got into a fight. My second uncle said he was wronged and was eating cabbage and tofu every day in jail. Some people were even bullying him and making him pick up soap."
