Chapter 152 Mingjing's Second Visit to the Palace

Mingjing blushed deeply, closed her eyes, reached out and twisted off the crab claws, then tossed them aside.

The crab claws were still clamped tightly around Xie Jun'an's thigh, causing him to turn pale with pain.

"Bear with it and don't move."

Mingjing pulled out the ship repair pliers and squeezed hard against Xie Junan's thigh to remove the crab claw.

"How about it?"

Xie Junan breathed a sigh of relief, thankfully he had managed to hold onto his manhood. He reached out and rubbed the tender flesh at the base of his thigh, which was probably bruised.

"It's nothing serious, all the important parts are still there."

Mingjing blushed with embarrassment and left with the pliers.

It has to be said that her posture just now was indeed a bit awkward, and Xie Junan also looked a little embarrassed.

Ming Dahai didn't intend to look at the two of them anymore, and the atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward.

Just then, a large ship sailed towards them from not far away. Mingjing recognized it as Xia Chang'an's ship at a glance, and she waved to Xia Chang'an.

Ming Dahai and Xie Junan looked completely bewildered, as if the two of them had planned it together.

"Mingjing, you're back quite early today. I thought you guys would have to wait a while before coming back."

"No, I have something to do today, so I'll call it a day early." Mingjing turned to him and said, "Dad, stop the boat and hand everything over to President Xia."

Ming Dahai didn't interrupt; he stopped the boat and, together with Xie Jun'an, moved the things onto Xia Chang'an's boat.

"Mingjing, can you predict the future? You were right when you said someone was following you. I saw a lot of people gathered at the dock when I came over. They're probably waiting for you."

Xia Chang'an kept his mouth busy with the crab basket.

"Mr. Xia, when you go back later, please don't go near the fishing village dock. Go to the one in town. You and Uncle Dong can split this batch of goods. I trust you."

"Later, Boss Xie will go back with you. I have to go back to the village dock."

Xie Junan and Ming Dahai carried the goods basket by basket.

"Mingjing, did you catch all these eels using fish traps?" Xia Chang'an asked incredulously, looking at the baskets of eels.

"Well, if anyone asks, just say you collected it from beachcombing, otherwise the sea will be full of fish traps."

As Mingjing spoke, she helped Xie Junan move the goods onto the ship. There weren't many goods today, but they were large, and the group managed to move them in a few trips.

"Boss Xie, you should go back with Boss Xia. I have to go back to the village."

Mingjing also had her own ulterior motives. First, it was indeed awkward for Xie Junan to stay here. Second, there were quite a lot of goods, and business people are most afraid of being switched or cheated. She was also worried about not having her own people watching over her.

Xie Jun'an understood Mingjing's meaning and turned to follow Xia Chang'an back.

As the opposite ship receded into the distance, Mingjing was able to finally lie down on the deck to rest when she had a spare moment.

"Mingjing, let's wait a bit. Those guys are definitely watching us at the dock right now. If we go back now, we won't be able to explain ourselves."

"Forget it, it's too deliberate for you to do this. They won't believe it. I left a few groupers, and I'll just say I didn't catch any later."

Ming Dahai thought about it and agreed. If they didn't go back, those people would definitely think they were up to something. He stood up and started driving towards the dock again.

From a distance, Mingjing could see a large crowd gathered at the dock, including men, women, and children. A police car was parked at the front, and Wang Yong was standing on the dock.

"Hey everyone, what's wrong with you? You've missed me so much after I've only been gone for a day? You've formed a group to welcome us."

"Mingjing, we have received a report that you are hunting rare animals at sea. We need to search your boat."

Wang Yong's expression was resolute.

“Oh. Search it.” Mingjing stood on the boat and shrugged.

Once you've exhausted all your luck, all that's left is bad luck.

The group boarded the boat and turned it upside down, finding only a few worthless damselfish, a few crabs with broken legs, octopuses, and various fishing tools.

Wang Yong breathed a sigh of relief when he found no rare animals.

"Mingjing, since someone has reported you for illegally hunting rare animals, please come back with us to investigate."

"Why are you arresting people arbitrarily again? When did we hunt rare animals? Do you have any evidence?"

Ming Da stepped forward to protect his daughter.

"That's right. Last time you took my daughter to the police station, you didn't find anything, and you ruined her reputation. Now you want to do this again? Who is the scoundrel who framed us?"

Mingjing pulled Mingdahai along, his eyes telling him not to act rashly.

“Mingjing, we have our reasons for doing things. Come back with us and explain yourself. We will not wrong an innocent person, nor will we let a bad person go unpunished.”

After Wang Yong finished speaking, he looked at Mingjing expectantly.

"I'll go back with you to investigate. If there's nothing wrong, please clear our name."

Wang Yong received news yesterday that someone had reported Mingjing for illegally hunting rare dolphins. He wanted to ask Mingjing about it privately, but he didn't want to show favoritism.

The first time he met Mingjing, he felt that this girl was different from others.

Last time Mingjing was detained, he was so unfriendly to her, but this girl didn't hold it against him. Instead, she did him a lot of favors and gave him face.

He had long regarded this girl as his god-sister and wanted to find an opportunity to return her, but he couldn't show favoritism in this matter, so after thinking it over, he decided not to say anything.

Thinking that this might be another misunderstanding, Wang Yong breathed a sigh of relief.

"Officer Wang, my dad is just a boatman, he doesn't know anything, let him go home."

Before Wang Yong could answer, the man in uniform behind him said with a stern face, "No, he's an accomplice and must go back with him for investigation."

In the interrogation room, three people lined up: the female police officer was in charge of taking notes, while Wang Yong and the man were in charge of the interrogation.

"Mingjing, someone has reported you for illegally hunting rare animals by renting boats and selling shark fins for profit. Do you admit to it?"

“I don’t admit it! I didn’t,” Mingjing said firmly.

“According to our investigation, you haven’t been going to the beach recently, and you don’t bring back much stuff each time you go out to sea. Where did you get the money to build a house and rent a big boat?”

The man was extremely rude, and Mingjing retorted in an equally irritable tone, "Officer, do I have to hunt sharks to make money? Can't I catch a big one?"

"We both live by the sea and both go out to sea, so why aren't other people as lucky as you, earning enough for a car and a house after just a few trips? Why don't you tell us the truth?"

Mingjing laughed in exasperation, "Officer, what kind of question is that? We're both men, the same age, yet he has a villa by the sea, and you're still so poor?"

"At the same age, most people have already gone to meet God, how come you're still here?"

Seeing that the man was about to get angry, Mingjing continued, "Comrade, I'm just telling the truth. What you're saying is ambiguous."

"Mingjing, confess and you'll be treated leniently, resist and you'll be punished severely... You..."

"Alright, Officer Wang, I won't say a word until my bailer arrives."

"The bailer? Who is it?"

Wang Yong remembered to whisper a few words to the man, explaining that Mingjing's bailer was a big shot in Hong Kong, and exaggeratedly added that he also had connections in the Hong Kong Police Department.

The man's expression changed upon hearing this, and he became more curious about Mingjing. He then said in a calm tone, "Mingjing, we are just trying to understand the situation from you. Please don't be resistant."

"Oh, could you please be a little nicer? I'm just a weak woman; if I don't stand up for myself, I'll be bullied."

The man continued, "Mingjing, can you explain what kind of fish you caught when you went out to sea? I heard you sold a Napoleon wrasse last time for a high price."
