Chapter 86 A Troublesome Person with Too Much Petty Matter

"No, stay put," Mingjing said, picking up a twig about the thickness of a thumb and pointing it at the rock next to Mingliang.

"Stay there, don't wander off."

"Mmm." Ming Lei was carried by Ming Jing to a rock below, and he was exceptionally well-behaved.

That place is by the sea and is quite large, so even if the sea level rises, it won't rise up.

Mingjing picked up a palm-sized piece of pig liver, hooked it with a fishing hook, wrapped the fishing line around a small twig a few times, and handed it to Minglei.

"Here you go. Throw the rope into the crevice between the rocks. Pull it up every minute to check. If there's no bait, tell me." Mingjing threw the rope out.

The fishing line was just enough to fit into the gap, but the tying wasn't very neat.

Don't take it too seriously when fooling children.

"Do you know how much a minute is?" Mingjing asked deliberately.

"One minute is three hundred and sixty-five hours."

Mingliang chuckled, "My dear nephew, you should stop going to school. If you keep going, we'll all turn into old monsters."

"Don't talk nonsense," Mingjing glared at him, then lowered her head and said, "Count to sixty, do a good job, and I'll give you three cents for every pound of crabs. Use it to buy some spicy snacks."

Sun Yang and Mingliang suppressed a laugh as they took their fishing rods, baited them with pork tenderloin, and gently cast the bait into the sea.

Minglei, sitting on the rock below, looked up at the two of them, stood up and imitated Mingliang, putting one hand in his pocket and fishing with the other.

"You little punk," Mingliang said, offering Sun Yang a cigarette.

"Second Uncle, Aunt, I want to smoke too."

Mingjing patted the little guy's head and said, "Stop slapping me, hurry up and fish for your crabs."

This kid is too mischievous. It's a good thing he's uneducated, otherwise he could become a spirit.

She hung a large piece of pig liver on the fishing hook and threw it into the sea to fish.

After fishing for a while, Minglei sat down on a rock, exhausted. He looked at the bait and exclaimed, "A big crab!"

"You bastard! You scared all my fish away!" Mingjing had just felt a firm grip on the fish when her hand jerked and the fish was gone.

This kid is a real nemesis.

"There was a big crab just now."

"Lift it up slowly. If you move it too much, you'll scare the fish away. Be quieter next time."

Ming Lei said "oh" and sat down again, but soon he made a face and said, "Third Aunt, my hands are sore and I'm hungry."

"You idiot, just put the fishing rod on the rock and step on it. It's no wonder you get tired holding it up like that. Keep your voice down."

"Third Aunt, I need to pee."

The mirror remains silent.

This little brat poops and peees all the time he does something, it's such a hassle.

"Mingliang, take him to pee."

"I'm not going. I'm about to catch a fish. I think this kid likes you. You take him with you." Mingliang was determined to fish and didn't want to move.

Mingjing also found it strange that among so many people, this kid loved to teach her how to do things.

"Third Aunt, you're the prettiest. You took me to pee, and I'm scared. When I grow up, I'll buy you a big villa and introduce you to boyfriends, but I won't buy one for Second Uncle."

Ming Lei rolled his eyes and pouted.

"Stop flattering me, just turn around and pee here." Mingjing was too lazy to move. He raised his hand to check the fishing rod, but there was still no movement. He was a little annoyed.

Ming Lei took his fishing rod, got up, pulled down his pants, and urinated into the sea.

"Sister, will we be able to catch any fish?" Mingyue scratched her head, not holding out much hope.

Mingjing shook her head, "Anyway, it's more hopeful than going to the beach."

As soon as he finished speaking, Sun Yang's fishing rod stirred. "Hey, a fish on the hook! It's quite big and strong."

Sun Yang's fishing rod was rather ordinary. The fishing rod was pulled into an arc shape by the sea fish. The two were locked in a stalemate for a few minutes. Then Sun Yang took a step back and raised the fishing rod.

A tilapia as long as an arm was pulled up.

Before he could even rejoice, Mingliang caught a fish as well, and his fish were clearly much more ferocious than Sun Yang's.

"This is really powerful." Mingjing took a bow-like step, and the fishing rod bent so badly that Mingjing was worried it would break a few times.

Mingliang gritted his teeth and lifted the rod, and a black sea bream appeared on the surface of the water, weighing about three or four pounds.

"I should have brought a landing net," Mingjing regretted, but thankfully the black sea bream was still brought ashore.

"Not bad today, no air force," Mingliang thought happily, grabbing the black sea bream by the gills and throwing it into the bucket.

The situation at Mingjing was bleak; there was nothing there.

"Third Aunt, Fourth Aunt, Aunt Jiaojiao, Aunt Yanyan, are you all any good? Second Uncle and Uncle are much better," Minglei said, raising his little finger.

Mingyue rolled her eyes. "You sycophant, how many crabs did you catch?"

"Hmph, it'll be here soon."

After saying that, Ming Lei gently lifted the fishing rod, and several thumb-sized crabs were caught on the pig liver and placed in the wooden bucket.

Ming Lei got cocky, "Here we go, aren't we?"

Seeing this, Mingjing felt utterly humiliated. This was her most embarrassing moment, and she had to keep pushing.

However, the next second...

The fishing rod in his hand clearly dipped downwards, indicating that it was a big fish.

"It's here! It's here!" Mingjing couldn't lift the fish at all; instead, she was being pulled forward by it and almost got dragged down.

“This fish is quite big,” Sun Yang said excitedly, helping Mingjing pull the fish up.

The fish kept rolling around in the sea, trying to pull Mingjing down, but fortunately the fishing line was strong enough to keep it hooked in the fish's mouth and prevent it from getting off the hook.

Mingjing and Sun Yang pulled their fishing rods backward, and the two sides were deadlocked. When the fish had strength, they would let out the line and play it for a while. When it had no strength, they would reel in the line and pull it back.

Ten minutes later, the fish seemed to get tired, released its grip, and poked half its head out.

"A manta ray!" Mingliang recognized the item at a glance.

With a powerful pull, Mingjing hooked the fish, which writhed in the air until it landed on the ground.

"My goodness, such a huge manta ray!" Mingliang exclaimed in surprise; it must weigh at least seven pounds.

The manta ray flipped over, and Mingjing scratched its chin. The creature seemed to laugh, opening its mouth and making noises incessantly.

"So much fun!" Minglei imitated Mingjing and went forward to touch it. It was soft and smooth. "Third Aunt is so amazing."

The manta ray couldn't fit in the wooden barrel, so the mirror had to be thrown into the haystack.

"Third Aunt, I want to go fishing too. I don't want to fish for crabs anymore, it's boring," Ming Lei said, throwing down his fishing rod.

"What are you fishing for? Do you think you can even hold such a big fish? I'll probably just drag you into the baited area and you'll have to go back to fishing for crabs."

Ming Lei returned dejectedly, sat down on a rock, and looked utterly resentful.

"Mingyue, go back and get the net, and also bring a big basin. If there are a lot of fish, you'll need to put them in the basin."

Mingjing never expected to catch such a big fish; there weren't enough buckets to go around.

"Okay." Mingyue turned and walked home, and not far away she saw Ming Dahai coming over with a net.

"You didn't even bring a landing net or a basin when you were fishing, and you still caught fish?"

Ming Dahai stepped forward and peered into the bucket. "Wow, it's really quite big."

"Dad, how did you know we were here?" Mingjing picked up the stingray and threw it into the basin. Then he tied a rope to a bucket and lifted it up, pouring a bucket of seawater into the basin.

"Why would you fish in a crowded place? Just go where there are fewer people." Ming Dahai put down his things, picked up Mingyue's fishing rod, and looked at it.

"We've run out of bait."

"Dad, you should replace these fishing rods," Mingjing said, feeling that they were too old and wouldn't be able to catch a big catch.

Ming Da hung up the bait, saying, "I don't usually fish, so this will have to do. What do you guys use for baiting?"

He looked around but didn't see any bait for baiting the area.

“I threw in two pieces of chicken breast,” Sun Yang said.

"Jiang Taigong fishes, and those who are willing will take the bait, without wasting a single bit of bait."

With fishing tackle shops nearby, people in Mingjing are willing to take the bait wherever they need it.

As they were talking, Mingjing caught another fish on his fishing rod. Compared to the previous manta ray, this one was much stronger.

"Pull to the left! Be careful not to snag the bottom," Ming Dahai instructed anxiously.

Before long, Mingliang picked up an extra-long landing net, stretched it into the sea, and scooped up a bunch of fish.
