The island in the sea needs popularity and prosperity to upgrade. Popularity refers to the number of people on the island, and prosperity refers to the buildings and facilities on the island.
The first upgrade requires 100 popularity points and one building facility.
One hundred people had long been enough to meet the quota, and the facilities were just the wooden seaways branching off from the dock for mooring.
Qinglong Island has now been upgraded to level two, and creatures have begun to appear on the island, such as earthworms turning over the soil, birds flying in the sky, and green plants. This is a good start.
The next phase of the upgrade requires 500 people and five six-story residential buildings, each capable of accommodating 100 people.
Duan Bohai and his group were also observing the available players in the chat area, while offline they were working hard to build the site. Even his beloved white tiger was sent to the construction site to move bricks.
Fortunately, the white tiger doesn't usually have anywhere to play, and Duan Bohai has been quite busy lately, so it has no opponent to train with. This is the only way to expend its energy and keep it from causing trouble.
Lin Hu made a serving of crispy pork that he had entered yesterday on the stir-fry machine, and also made hundreds of breakfasts on the breakfast machine, as well as the steamed egg custard that he had added yesterday.
He only took out some; he planned to put the rest on Sun Xiaoxiao's shop later.
During this break, I also prepared the other people's goods, ready to be shipped out at nine o'clock.
Although everyone is currently helping out on the island, there's still time to put things on the shelves and check on the shops when there's a spare moment.
Besides, why not do it if you can make money?
It was half an hour later when breakfast was ready, and Ling Jiuqi came out of her room.
Looking at the pile of breakfast on the table, she glanced at Ao Jinjin and knew what was going on.
Ling Jiuqi suddenly felt something swaying outside the living room's French windows. She turned her head and looked over, her eyes flashing with undisguised surprise.
White snowflakes drifted down from the sky. It was warm inside, but outside it was a world of ice and snow, making her want to go back to her room and continue sleeping soundly under the covers.
It felt both strange and familiar.
"You've never played in the snow before?" Ao Jinjin saw Ling Jiuqi staring at the snow outside and felt like she had found a kindred spirit, breaking Ling Jiuqi's daze with her voice.
“…You’ve played with it before, haven’t you?” Ling Jiuqi replied calmly, stepping closer to the sofa and sitting down.
Lin Hu glanced at Ling Jiuqi without changing his expression; it was yet another ambiguous answer.
"How about we go build a snowman after dinner?"
Lin Hu smiled and asked the two little ones, his hands still busy, taking a steamed egg custard and her favorite shrimp fried rice in front of Ling Jiuqi, and a shrimp and vegetable porridge and steamed egg custard for himself and Ao Jinjin respectively.
"What is a snowman?" Ao Jinjin asked first, looking at Lin Hu with a puzzled expression, not even paying attention to the food in front of him.
"Eat first, you'll find out later." Lin Hu pushed the food towards him, not intending to explain too much.
"Practice makes perfect," but he's not an encyclopedia.
"Okay, then eat quickly." Ao Jinjin's soft, sweet voice and obedient appearance struck Lin Hu's heart directly.
Aside from his dragon identity, he's clearly just a child who knows nothing.
Ao Jinjin ate a lot, so Lin Hu finished eating first and asked Ling Jiuqi for a hat and coat for Ao Jinjin to wear.
I plan to ask Jiang Qiaomei to make two sets of children's clothes for Ao Jinjin later. Ling Jiuqi doesn't need to, as Jiang Qiaomei likes her very much and has already secretly made a few sets for her.
When Duan Linzhou woke up at ten o'clock, the seat next to him was already cold.
After he finished washing up and changing his clothes, he came out and saw three figures building a snowman on the raft, with the surrounding snow shoveled to the snowman's feet.
Ao Jinjin saw Duan Linzhou leaning on the second-floor railing in a rather amused pose, and he shouted, "Don't touch that! It'll eat meat!"
"Um?!"
Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou were both puzzled.
After Lin Hu turned around and saw Duan Linzhou's location, he understood what Ao Jinjin was talking about.
Lin Hu chuckled and beckoned to Duan Linzhou, saying, "Come down."
Duan Linzhou obediently went downstairs, and when he walked to Lin Hu's side, Ao Jinjin was still looking at him.
"What's wrong with him?" Duan Linzhou asked Lin Hu, puzzled.
Lin Hu chuckled and whispered in Duan Linzhou's ear, "He went to lick the railing this morning, and after his tongue got stuck, he said the railing would eat meat."
Duan Linzhou hadn't expected this to happen. He glanced at Ao Jinjin and suppressed the urge to laugh.
Ao Jinjin couldn't understand the atmosphere between the two, but he could feel that he was being mocked. He stomped his foot, snorted, and planned to go back to the living room to watch TV.
The next second, waves suddenly surged up on the sea, causing the entire raft to shake.
Ao Jinjin was originally planning to turn around and leave, but this sway made him lose his balance. Fortunately, Lin Hu was not far away and caught him.
Ao Jinjin was afraid of pain, so she closed her eyes tightly after initially thinking she was going to have a close encounter with the ground.
The expected pain did not come; instead, he was met with a warm embrace. He opened his eyes to look around.
The first thing that catches the eye is Lin Hu's jawline. Lin Hu is currently observing the sea and doesn't notice the stunned child in his arms.
Lin Hu half-squatted, and Ao Jinjin fell onto his knees.
Lin Hu helped Ao Jinjin steady herself and walked over to Duan Linzhou, who was standing by the raft observing, and asked, "What happened?"
"It must be a beast tide, look over there," Duan Linzhou said, pointing into the distance.
Lin Hu followed the direction indicated and saw many marine creatures splashing around not far from them, as if they were blocked by something and could only swim two or three meters away from their raft.
Some even leaped out of the sea, trying to use their momentum to rush in, but were ultimately bounced away by an invisible barrier.
