Chapter 123 New Year

Lin Hu couldn't quite put his finger on what was strange, but he felt that the people and the things around them were all a bit odd.

"Dongdong, go wash up quickly, we're all waiting for you."

Lin Hu's wandering thoughts were pulled back by Lin Jingyue. He scratched his head and went to the bathroom to wash up.

When he got to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror, he realized that he had to stand on tiptoe to see his chin in the mirror.

But he's only fifteen, isn't that normal?

Lin Hu quickly finished washing up and came out. Lin Jingyue had already changed her clothes. She was still wearing a coat and a knitted skirt, but this time it was gray.

“Let’s go, let’s get there early and buy some fresh produce,” Lin Jingyue said, getting up first.

"Take this and eat it in the car." Lin Jingyue handed Lin Hu a plastic bag containing two meat buns and a tea egg.

Lin Hu followed behind them, holding hot steamed buns and tea eggs.

When they reached the door, Lin Jingyue even put a hat on their heads.

The group got into Lin Jingyue's car. The two adults sat in the front, while Lin Hu and Xu Yiling naturally sat in the back.

"Brother Lin, Fatty and I are going to the amusement park on the second day of the Lunar New Year. Do you want to come?" Xu Yiling whispered to Lin Hu, glancing warily at the person in front of him.

Music was playing in the car, and the two adults in the front were chatting animatedly about the dishes they planned to make tomorrow.

"Which amusement park?" Lin Hu asked softly, taking a bite of the steamed bun in his hand.

"I heard there's a new New Year's event in Area B. Are you going? If you come, we can buy tickets together."

The two of them were in the same class as the fat guy, and they got along very well. They often made plans to hang out together on weekends.

"I'll go." Lin Hu thought for a moment. There was nothing important that day, so he immediately nodded in agreement.

"I heard there's a haunted house there, let's go check it out sometime." Xu Yiling took out his phone to check out travel guides, talking non-stop, completely unaware that Lin Hu's expression was off.

Yes, Lin Hu has never told anyone that he is afraid of ghosts. When other people try to get him to watch horror movies, he always refuses by saying things like he's childish or that he believes in Marxism.

So far, neither Xu Yiling nor Fatty know that Lin Hu is afraid of ghosts; they only know that he has a slight, intermittent obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" After waiting for a while without getting a reply from Lin Hu, Xu Yiling turned his head to look and saw that Lin Hu had a whole steamed bun stuffed in his mouth. His expression seemed to say: Do you think I look like I can talk now?
