Chapter 125 Paternity Test

Lin Hu and Fatty Xu Yiling saw this on the bulletin board outside when they came in.

The two people are now gone, which means they have obviously opened the door and entered the room.

Lin Hu hesitated for a moment, while also trying to reassure himself.

Finally, after deciding on the statement "They're all people in disguise," he raised his hand and placed it on a doorknob in one of the rooms.

The door handle was very old; Lin Hu could feel the rough texture on the surface of the handle in his palm, which was probably rusted and peeling paint.

The door creaked and groaned, and the moment it opened, the speakers installed in the hallway started playing music designed to create a terrifying atmosphere.

Lin Hu was startled by the occasional static-like sound from the television.

No joke, Lin Hu really jumped, and even coincidentally avoided the dark, grotesque hand that reached out from under the door to grab his ankle.

Lin Hu immediately lowered his back to the wall, cautiously surveying the environment of the room.

My pupils dilated in shock. There was a table in the room, and on the table was a humanoid skeleton. It must be an operating room.

Just as Lin Hu was about to run back to the corridor from the open room door, heavy footsteps sounded in the corridor.

The footsteps were slow, sounding like a heavy, large man walking barefoot on the ground. Most importantly, the footsteps seemed to be coming towards him, and the sound was getting closer and closer.

Lin Hu calmed his pounding heart, quietly grasped the doorknob, and intended to quietly close the door.

But he forgot how old the door was; it creaked and groaned again as soon as he moved it.

Lin Hu froze for a second, and the footsteps in the corridor also stopped instantly.

Lin Hu knew that this was the calm before the storm, and soon things outside would rush towards him.

Lin Hu's prediction was correct. Just as he was quickly closing the door, the footsteps at the door quickened and stopped right in front of him.

Lin Hu heard the distinct whistling sounds of our breath outside, and he instinctively held his breath, not daring to move.

The door wasn't locked from the inside, and he didn't know if the old lock would break completely because he suddenly wanted to close it.

The reason he dared not do so was because there was a coffin in his room.

That's why he was stunned at the doorway just now.

There was also a faint green ambient light in the corner of the room, and you could clearly see that the only things in the room that were clean were a coffin and him.

The monster that opened the door hadn't left yet, but Lin Hu was already holding his breath.

Lin Hu belatedly realized that this was a person in disguise, so what was he afraid of?

Removing his hand from his mouth and nose, Lin Hu took a shallow breath.

The next second, something at the door suddenly moved closer to it, its breath and the air currents seeping in from under the door.

Lin Hu was so frightened that he immediately held his breath again.

Just then, a human-shaped ghost face slowly appeared on the wall beside him.

Lin Hu had his back to her and didn't see it, but his body was the first to sense that something was wrong.

He got goosebumps all over and immediately turned to look.

He happened to meet a pair of bulging eyes, and his eyeballs almost touched the other person's.

"Ouch!" Lin Hu was so startled that he leaned back and bumped into the door, making a sound.

Upon hearing the noise, the creature outside the door stopped merely sniffing and began ramming the door with its body.

Lin Hu saw the ghost face on the wall give him a malicious smile, and he slowly shrank back into the wall.

It was as if he played a prank so that outsiders would find him.

Lin Hu was instantly annoyed and stretched his hand forward.

He didn't know why he made that movement; it was as if he had practiced it many times and it was an unconscious action.

Then his pupils dilated in shock as he saw a faint glow emanating from his palm. A vine, like a whip, lashed out and struck the ghost face on the wall, which hadn't yet managed to escape.

"Haaaaaah—" the ghost let out a shrill scream, like a parched throat.

The ghostly face vanished into the wall in an instant, and the sound stopped abruptly, leaving only a crack that revealed the gray cement wall inside the white wall and the sound of the door hitting the wall.

Before Lin Hu could recover from the strange reaction he was experiencing, the door outside cracked.

Putting aside all distractions, Lin Hu looked over and saw that the wooden door had been smashed open, and it looked like it would be easy to break through in a couple of hits.

As if on cue, the door shattered into pieces with a crash, and a head peered in from the doorway.

Yes, it was bending over. The thing at the door was so big that it was stuck in the doorway. Only a hand and a head could barely stick in because the body was too big.

Lin Hu felt nauseous looking at the crowd of people at the entrance.

He scanned his surroundings, looking for a place to escape.

After the strange events that just happened, Lin Hu could no longer explain his current situation scientifically; he could only believe that he had truly encountered a ghost.

Upon closer inspection, there wasn't even a single ventilation duct, let alone windows.

With a "whoosh," the coffin in front of Lin Hu suddenly opened its lid.

Lin Hu felt a chill in his heart, thinking that he was about to be caught in a situation where he was surrounded by enemies.

The next second, two hands of normal human skin color reached out and supported the two sides of the coffin, helping a man to his feet.

Inside the coffin was none other than Duan Linzhou!

Lin Hu, who had been somewhat relaxed, immediately became alert again.

He then realized that what he had seen in front of the beef and mutton noodle shop wasn't a hallucination. It was too abnormal for one person to appear so many times. But suddenly, he felt a calm, automatically blocking out the heap of fleshy growths around him. Why was that…?

"come over."

Lin Hu was still thinking when Duan Linzhou's voice startled him, and that feeling of remembering something swirled in his mind again.
