After finishing what was below, Lin Hu remembered that there was another machine left on the island. He planned to turn it on when he went up to water the snow lotus.
After finishing everything, Lin Hu used spring water to make himself a cup of green grape and jasmine fruit tea with green grapes and jasmine.
Lin Hu held a cup of fruit tea, wearing a long gray tracksuit. Although it was extremely hot, the temperature didn't suddenly rise; it was only around 20 degrees Celsius.
Lin Hu changed into clean white sneakers, stepped out of his raft, and planned to inspect the progress on the island.
Since waking up, he had only gone out once in the morning to discuss matters with Duan Bohai, and hadn't paid much attention to the changes around him.
This time, as I walked around and observed, I discovered that the exterior of those dormitory buildings was painted magenta, and there were green belts and small squares underneath.
Lin Hu looked at the bougainvillea in the green belt and planned to ask Duan Bohai for one later.
Then I noticed that there were many more trees on the mountain behind, the most prominent being the 20 rubber trees.
The most abundant trees are pine trees, which Lin Hu guesses is a change that occurred after Qinglong Island was upgraded to level four.
During Lin Hu's coma, new people arrived one after another, bringing the total number of people on Qinglong Island to 4,000.
No wonder the dormitory building could be built so quickly. Walking towards the back of the mountain, Linhu also discovered many fields where vegetables and rice were grown.
At this moment, several people were using their supernatural abilities to accelerate the growth of plants in the vegetable garden. Most of them were women and children, while the male wood-type supernatural beings had been pulled to the construction site to help.
Lin Hu suddenly saw Liu Xu, who was busy with Sun Xiaoxiao at the time.
Lin Hu approached and discovered that the two were starting a fire.
"What are you doing?" Lin Hu asked curiously.
The sound wasn't loud, but it startled the two of them, making them feel like they were doing something wrong.
"Brother Lin?!" Liu Xu and Sun Xiaoxiao stammered at the same time.
"You're awake!" Liu Xu was the first to react, her voice rising with excitement.
"Hmm." Lin Hu nodded lightly.
Lin Hu has been in a coma for the past few days. They went to see him, but he said he hadn't woken up yet. Later, they were told not to disturb him, so they gave up on the idea of going to see him.
"What are you doing?" Lin Hu asked, gesturing to the pile of nearly burnt-out embers on the ground.
"Roasted sweet potato, Brother Lin, do you want some?" Sun Xiaoxiao replied, her cheeks smeared with charcoal, still holding a wooden stick in her hand, her voice still gentle and soft.
Lin Hu glanced at the sweet potatoes that hadn't been put in yet and readily said, "Okay, then bake one for me too."
Then Lin Hu remembered something and said, "Grill a few more, I'll take them with me."
"Okay," Sun Xiaoxiao replied, adding some more firewood to the fire.
Lin Hu looked around and saw many people working in the fields, and there were also a few children nearby. He figured the roasted sweet potatoes were probably for them.
When Liu Xu saw Lin Hu's gaze lingering on the children, she took the initiative to introduce them: "Those children are the children of the uncle and aunt who work in the fields. They joined Qinglong Island when you were unconscious. Since there was no one to take care of them at home, they brought them here."
"Isn't it amazing that there are still such young children in the apocalypse?" Liu Xu added, suggesting that the family must have protected them so much to keep them alive until now.
Lin Hu looked at the group of children, who were around ten years old. Both the boys and girls had short hair, and the only way to tell them apart was by the style of their clothes.
The people were laughing and joking around in the fields. Lin Hu glanced at the workers in the fields again. No one was slacking off. Those who were already skilled at their work could even take the time to chat with the people next to them. The atmosphere was very harmonious.
"Sister, sister, you're so tall!" A girl ran up to Lin Hu, tilted her head back, and smiled at Lin Hu.
The air was silent for a few seconds when Lin Hu heard Liu Xu and Sun Xiaoxiao's brief, barely suppressed laughter beside him.
Lin Hu sighed helplessly, having been mistaken for someone else many times before. He reached out and ruffled the girl's hair, saying, "You're a brother, not a sister."
As soon as Lin Hu touched her, he felt that the girl's slightly long, wispy hair was extremely dry.
I suddenly remembered that some of the hair care products I bought included conditioner. It seems the supermarket needs to implement this soon.
Large supermarkets are probably not feasible now, but small shops can still be set up in the ground floor of residential buildings.
"Then why is your hair long?" the girl asked again. She loved having long hair, but her mother said it wasn't safe to have it long, so she cut it short.
However, her mother said that it's safe now.
Why?
Lin Hu couldn't quite remember why.
It seems to be her long, flamboyant red hair that's quite striking.
Lin Hu paused for a few seconds, then gave a casual answer, "Because it looks good."
"I think it looks good too, and I want to grow my hair long too," the little girl said with a smile, her fair face full of joy. She added, "I want to grow my hair as long as yours."
"Mm," Lin Hu replied with a smile, and then chatted with the little girl for a while longer.
Liu Xu and Sun Xiaoxiao were roasting sweet potatoes nearby, and occasionally, because the little girl was so cute, they couldn't help but pinch her little face.
Afterwards, Lin Hu carried a few roasted sweet potatoes back, put them down, and went to the ground floor of the newly built dormitory buildings.
I was looking for a shop when I stopped in front of one that had already been rented out.
Lin Hu looked at the words "wash, cut and blow-dry" written on a small blackboard that had been pulled from somewhere at the entrance, hesitated for a few seconds, and then went inside.
An hour later, Lin Hu emerged from the shop with a wolf tail, just as everyone else was finishing work.
People coming and going saw Lin Hu's new look and flocked into the store, forming a long queue.
Lin Hu looked at them and then at the people who, having not had a haircut for several months, were starting to resemble the initial hairstyles of the "Shamate" subculture.
Lin Hu was also very satisfied with his new hairstyle. The wolf tail that was slightly past his shoulders could be tied up, and his long, center-parted bangs had been trimmed to a perfect length. It was still a center part, just a bit shorter.
