Chapter 43 You Carry Me Away

Before the apocalypse, they had always been suppressed by the Duan family and Duan Linzhou, but they never expected to be suppressed even after the apocalypse.

It's probably too late to seek peace now. He's the only one with offensive abilities on their side, so they have no choice but to run away.

He also believed that Duan Linzhou wouldn't do anything to the two siblings now; the business they were negotiating was just one step away from finalizing the quantity and payment.

Faced with so many crystal cores, he didn't believe Duan Bohai would allow his son to harm him.

Qin Yaowei laughed and threw an orange smoke at his feet. He originally planned to hit Lin Hu before running away, but Lin Hu also threw an orange at his feet.

This made him lose sight of the two people. Fortunately, his sister was right next to him, and she grabbed them and ran away. Lin Hu didn't intend to chase after them.

"Aren't you going to chase after him?" Duan Linzhou asked softly, looking at the thin layer of sweat on Lin Hu's forehead, feeling both heartache and self-reproach.

"No need, I've poisoned that arrowhead; he won't live much longer." Lin Hu smiled slyly, but his words sent chills down one's spine.

Duan Linzhou found a rock, put Lin Hu down, and first checked if his legs were frostbitten.

Duan Linzhou squatted down in front of Lin Hu, rolled up his soaked trousers to reveal two fair calves. Lin Hu really was very fair-skinned.

The few tiny red marks on his calves, caused by the ice, were particularly noticeable, making Duan Linzhou's heart ache.

"It must hurt a lot," Duan Linzhou said softly, tracing a three-centimeter-long red mark with his finger.

"Yes, it hurts a lot." Lin Hu nodded and smiled as he looked up at Duan Linzhou, who was looking at him with a pained expression.

"I'm sorry, I'll definitely get there as soon as possible next time," Duan Linzhou said in a muffled voice, his forehead resting lightly on Lin Hu's uninjured knee.

At the same time, he also felt guilty for not being able to take action.

"Why should I apologize? It's not your fault. It's my own incompetence." Lin Hu stroked Duan Linzhou's head, and for some reason, he ended up comforting him.

Lin Hu felt that the two were really talking, and not wanting to break the ice, he planned to ask for more.

"Brother Duan, I can't walk, can you carry me?" Actually, he could fly, but why not take the opportunity when he's already injured? He should at least get some benefits.

"Okay." Duan Linzhou said in a muffled voice, his forehead still pressed against Lin Hu's knee.
