Lin Hu was like a bomb that had been set off by the word 'husband'; with a bang, her face, neck, and ear tips turned bright red.
Duan Linzhou looked at this person and found him adorable.
"Why don't you call me 'brother' first?" Duan Linzhou smiled and loosened his grip a bit, making it easier for the other person to escape if they felt uncomfortable.
He still didn't want to push people too hard; if he angered them, he wouldn't be able to get back into that room.
"How about I call you brother and you call me husband?" Lin Hu suddenly felt that this arrangement made it easier to call the other party brother, and her eyes lit up as she waited for Duan Linzhou to speak.
Duan Linzhou didn't expect Lin Hu to think this way; he actually managed to find a loophole.
"Okay, honey." Duan Linzhou called out, but Lin Hu felt something was off. It was just a casual, indifferent way of saying it.
Duan Ge is too casual; he doesn't bring Duan Ge any joy at all.
"Your turn." Duan Linzhou's eyes darkened as he stared at Lin Hu's lips, his fingers tracing her waist.
"The pot's going to burn." Lin Hu said this with a stiff expression, and then prepared to leave.
Duan Linzhou reached out and took the other person's hand, saying, "There are no old flames, you're the first one."
Duan Linzhou's words were a response to Lin Hu's earlier statement that Qin Yaoyao was an old flame, which did indeed make Lin Hu feel a little better.
"I know, I understand." Lin Hu fled the raft as if he were running away.
Duan Linzhou watched Lin Hu's retreating figure, a smile curving his lips, and then followed him off the raft.
"Brother Lin, are you hot?" Liu Xu asked, noticing Lin Hu's sudden appearance. She assumed he had just come off the raft. She noticed his face was a little red and assumed it was because of the weather.
Sun Xiaoxiao was more observant. He noticed that Lin Hu's lips were a little swollen and quickly patted Liu Xu's lower back to remind her.
Liu Xu didn't quite understand at first, but Sun Xiaoxiao took advantage of the fact that Lin Hu wasn't paying attention to them and whispered in his ear, "Look at Brother Lin and Brother Duan's mouths."
"Mouth? What's wrong with your mouth?" Liu Xu noticed Lin Hu's mouth when she heard this. It seemed a little red and swollen. Duan Linzhou's mouth was not very obvious, but you could still tell that something was wrong.
Duan Linzhou noticed Liu Xu looking at him. He looked up and saw Liu Xu pretending to look for something, sometimes putting her hands on her hips, sometimes bending over. She was muttering something like, "Where did it go?"
Duan Linzhou wasn't paying attention to the other person; he moved closer to Lin Hu and helped out.
After the group prepared the meal, many people around them stared at their food while they ate.
Lin Hu looked at Liu Xu and Sun Xiaoxiao, and suddenly a thought flashed through his mind.
Liu Xu and Sun Xiaoxiao had gathered all the medicine, but the island did not exclude them from leaving.
Then he glanced at the other people not far away, eating pancakes amidst the aroma of their food.
I'm planning to open a temporary restaurant here later, which should allow me to make a hefty profit.
His original plan was to open the shop now and trade bamboo shoots, which would save him the time and effort of finding and digging for bamboo shoots. However, he was worried that the old man would not approve of this approach and would drive them off the island, which would be a complete loss.
So I can only gather all the necessary potions for my raft today before doing anything else.
I made up my mind and decided to do it.
While digging for bamboo shoots, Lin Hu kept planning for tomorrow, while also being wary of his surroundings. He hadn't forgotten that Qin Yaoyao was secretly watching him.
Lin Hu was now eager to see what the other party planned to do. They had been following them all the way, and even Sun Xiaoxiao and Liu Xu had noticed their presence.
Neither of the two girls asked Lin Hu about his current situation; they both quietly dug for bamboo shoots.
Lin Hu thought the other party wouldn't make any moves after the bamboo shoots were almost dug up.
"Do you have time? I'd like to talk to you." Qin Yaoyao walked over to Lin Hu and said. Because Lin Hu was squatting down digging bamboo shoots, Qin Yaoyao's presence next to him only accentuated her arrogance as the eldest daughter of the Qin family. Her tone was still that of a spoiled young lady.
"You can say what you need to say here." Lin Hu stood up, looked down at the person who was almost a head shorter than him, and immediately moved away.
Seeing this, Duan Linzhou also came over, naturally reaching out to put his arm around Lin Hu's shoulder and pull him closer.
Qin Yaoyao felt a pang of unease as she looked at Duan Linzhou's arm around her shoulder and at his wary expression.
"I want to talk to you alone." Qin Yaoyao insisted. Her special ability was memory spying, but her current level of ability was low and had two bugs.
First, she cannot lock onto a third person if there is one present.
Secondly, her ability cannot detect mental ability users. If she were to risk trying, she might be turned into an idiot. However, she did not know that Duan Linzhou also had mental ability.
"My brother has been poisoned. I know you must have the medicine. I've come to ask for it." Qin Yaoyao's words were anything but sincere.
Lin Hu remained silent; how could one act superior when asking for help?
"What does your brother's poisoning have to do with me?" Lin Hu asked Qin Yaoyao with a puzzled look on his face.
"Not long after we left yesterday, the wound on my brother's neck started turning purple. Who else could it be but you?! We haven't seen anyone else!" Qin Yaoyao said angrily.
"Empty talk! How am I supposed to know if you saw anyone else after you left? The way you're talking makes it sound like you're trying to pin this on me." Lin Hu said, one hand on his hip, his words utterly blunt.
Lin Hu refused to go anywhere else with her alone, and Duan Linzhou followed Lin Hu closely. She had no choice but to wait until Lin Hu was alone before taking action.
"You just wait," Qin Yaoyao said before leaving this awful place.
