"Do you still have peach blossom pastries?" Lin Hu asked.
"There are more, they're in the second display case on the left when you come in. Let me take you there," the girl said politely, walking around from behind the counter and leading Lin Hu away.
"Thank you," Lin Hu said, and followed behind the other person.
"Here are plates and clips. You can choose what you like and then go to the counter to pack and pay." The girl said politely and then went back to the counter, like an emotionless robot.
Lin Hu used tongs to put a few peach blossom pastries on the plate, then went to the counter to pack them up and pay.
When she came out, she was carrying peach blossom pastries wrapped in oil paper, and she returned to the fat woman's stall.
"The pastries are back," Lin Hu said.
"You are... oh, that young man, right?" Lin Hu had used rouge to change his appearance, and the woman didn't react at first. It was only when she saw the white short-sleeved shirt and red sweatpants that she realized who Lin Hu was.
"Young man, you're back so soon? You're quite the young man, quick on your feet. How much did the pastries cost?" The woman was a woman of her word. Seeing that it was Lin Hu, she smiled and asked, while reaching into her purse to take out money.
Lin Hu paid for the crystal cores himself, so when the woman asked him how many crystal cores he had spent, he answered truthfully: "70 level one crystal cores."
He wasn't too curious as to why crystal cores would be used for trading in a quaint old town.
It might be some kind of bug in the world, but it also has its own logic.
"Okay, here are 80 level-one crystal cores. Ten of them are for your errand fee." The woman counted out 80 crystal cores from her purse and gave them to Lin Hu.
Lin Hu accepted the crystal core and was planning to find a secluded spot to receive his reward.
"Young man, wait a minute, this is for you." The woman called out to Lin Hu again.
