"Not bad, one serendipitous quest a day." Duan Linzhou smiled and said.
Lin Hu then realized that when the other person said "you're back," they thought he had gone to do another adventure quest. He had thought the other person knew he had an island.
"Yes. A good haul. How about you?" Lin Hu's expression relaxed slightly upon hearing this. He walked to the storage cabinet, put down the basket, and asked the other person.
"My haul was pretty good too." Duan Linzhou pulled out a small pile of colorful crystal cores of varying sizes.
Lin Hu was shocked. This person had been killing mutated beasts all night?!
Looking at the dark circles under the other person's eyes, I see.
"Here, take this. The rest can be used for rent and food." Duan Linzhou handed him a few cyan crystal cores.
"Why is it cyan?" Lin Hu asked, puzzled. Actually, he preferred red; it was prettier!
"The cyan crystal core contains wind element, which is suitable for your supernatural ability to absorb," Duan Linzhou explained to Lin Hu. In their previous lives, they had also accidentally discovered that this thing could be directly absorbed to enhance their supernatural abilities.
Different colors correspond to different superpowers, and the size of the crystal core corresponds to the level of the crystal core.
"That's a bit too much. Are you planning to live here for the rest of your life?" Actually, it wasn't that much for a lifetime; it was just Lin Hu joking.
"That's because your food is so good. If I could, I'd stay here forever," Duan Linzhou said with a smile, though it was just a joke.
Duan Linzhou is usually quiet and has a cold, aloof demeanor, giving off an unapproachable aura. But when he speaks, it's like a hook, making people's hearts itch with desire.
"Alright, I'll take it! Let's have something good to eat today." Lin Hu raised his eyebrows and smiled, put away the crystal core, and took out rice to cook.
In his subconscious, delicious and hot food means freshly made.
"Alright, I'll help out," Duan Linzhou said with a smile, taking off his coat and rolling up his sleeves. "What can I do?"
He had been fighting mutated beasts all night and was starving by now.
"Process this bear meat," Lin Hu said, taking a piece of bear meat from his backpack and handing it to the other person. Then, as if remembering something, he added, "But we won't be able to eat it until later."
Lin Hu pointed to the countdown timer on the house's location; there was still nearly an hour left.
"Okay." Duan Linzhou looked at Lin Hu's smiling face, his eyes shining like a galaxy. If it weren't for the boundless sea, he would have thought this wasn't the end of the world.
Duan Linzhou went to process the bear meat, while Lin Hu took out the rice cooker and used the inner pot to rinse the rice.
The rice takes about twenty minutes to cook. After putting the rice on the stove, I thought that since they were still guests, I couldn't let them eat sitting on a beanbag chair or squatting like me.
I searched for chairs on the marketplace on a whim, and sure enough, someone was selling them, though the price was a bit high.
However, it wasn't too expensive for Lin Hu, so he decisively bought two chairs. He had the blueprints for the table himself, so he only changed the materials.
After browsing around for a while, I bought ginger and chili peppers. It seems quite a few people ordered food, but this person probably doesn't like ginger and chili peppers.
Now I just feel that this dish would be even more delicious if I added some tomatoes, but after searching several times, I still can't find it.
I did see quite a few strange things, like slippers chewed by a dog, tattered shirts, and worn-out, smelly socks...
After three days, the trading market saw a significant increase in the number of people trading goods, whereas previously only a few hundred people were selling items there.
There are so many now that it's impossible to find a bottom; all sorts of strange things are being traded online, and some people are even exchanging their boxer shorts for food.
Lin Hu: ...
Although he only had one pair of underwear on him, he wouldn't stoop to picking up someone else's worn-out ones.
Lin Hu bought a rocking chair and a lot of bamboo woven fruit baskets and hampers.
He has a lot of things piled up outside, which doesn't look good at all. He needs to find a place to organize them.
After spending all the seedless fruit he brought, it was definitely worth it.
Lin Hu then made a table and placed it under the grape trellis, with chairs placed opposite each other. The grape trellis was quite large, so he also placed a rocking chair not far from the table.
I washed some fruit and put it on the table in the fruit basket I just bought. Then I brought the shredded bear meat that Duan Linzhou had cut to the table.
The house was just finished, but it was just an empty shell; I had to furnish and decorate it myself.
After confirming receipt on the control panel, a building was quickly erected in front of Linhu within seconds.
He's been shocked countless times already, and he still hasn't fully adapted to this survival game.
Lin Hu went in to take a look; it was a log cabin style, I guess.
After all, there were no modern decorating materials; it was all wood.
The entrance leads to the living room, which appears rather large because it is completely unfurnished. To the right of the entrance is an open kitchen. Lin Hu noticed two water tanks, one large and one small, on the countertop and realized that the iron that was handed over when choosing the house was actually material for the water tanks and faucets.
Lin Hu placed the dishes in the upper cabinet and then put some less frequently used items on top. Seeing Lin Hu about to move a chair, Duan Linzhou reached out and took the items, placing them on top and closing the cabinet door. He thought this was an attempt to gain favor, but instead, he received a slightly resentful "Thank you" from Lin Hu.
Lin Hu selected one portion of the large batch of seasonings he had ordered and placed it on the stove, throwing the rest into the storage room. He also moved a black non-stick pan and a rice cooker into the house.
Then, I set up the bathroom layout on the control panel, followed by placing the water purifier and power outlets in the house, and integrating the storage cabinets into the cabinets under the stove. Suddenly, all the messy things piled up by the raft had a home.
