Chapter 99 The Secret of Linhu

After pausing for two seconds, Lin Hu put the water gun down again.

It wasn't a sudden pang of conscience; it was because I was afraid the glass would block my way, or that breaking the glass would make the other person realize what was happening.

How could he possibly be soft-hearted when faced with someone/zombie who, whether in the past or present, has wanted to kill him?

Lin Hu picked up a stone and smashed it against the glass on the first floor. The glass shattered on the ground, and Lin Hu quickly hid in a blind spot where the other party could not see him.

At the same time, Qin Yaowei upstairs quickly ran to the window, opened it, and peered downstairs.

He saw broken glass scattered all over the ground, glanced around, and then went downstairs to check.

As soon as he stepped out, he ran into his parents, who were waiting at the door. They had clearly heard the commotion downstairs and came over to check on him.

"Son, what's wrong?" Xu Lan originally wanted to go up and grab her son's hand to ask what was wrong, as she always did, but when she saw the strange black blood on his skin, she flinched and pulled her hand back.

Qin Fulang was in a similar situation. He was also afraid of his son, who was neither human nor ghost, but given the current circumstances, he could only rely on his son.

By following him, at least we won't be attacked by zombies or chased by Chen Qingwei.

Qin Yaowei naturally noticed their subtle actions, and he now had very conflicted feelings towards them.

Even if they were his parents, he was now a zombie, and faced with two living people, he would still have an irresistible urge to eat them.

However, he still possesses human reason and cannot bring himself to eat the food of his own parents.

However, he felt a surge of anger towards the monster who no longer treated him as a son but only as a crutch.

"I'll go take a look." Qin Yaowei didn't want to have too much contact with them, so he scratched his head impatiently and walked downstairs.

Qin Fulang and Xu Lan behind them exchanged a glance, their worry evident, but neither of them wanted to go down with them.

Lin Hu was waiting on the third floor of the building opposite C2 and witnessed this scene.

He waited upstairs, estimating Qin Yaowei's speed as he came downstairs, and aimed his gun at the building's exit in advance.

His arrows were steady, but I don't know about his spear; after all, I haven't practiced with it, so I'm not sure.

Less than a minute later, Qin Yaowei strode out, turned to look at the broken glass next to him, and realized something was wrong after seeing a stone inside.

Just as he was about to step away, having turned halfway around, a gust of wind blew across his neck, followed by a momentary coolness at his temple.

If he hadn't turned into a zombie and lost his skin's moisture and elasticity, he would definitely have goosebumps right now.

He looked towards the direction the wind was coming from, and saw Lin Hu with his hands on the windowsill, smiling and waving to him downstairs.

Like a greeting between friends, this infuriated Qin Yaowei. Just as he was about to launch a superpower attack, he suddenly felt a jolt in his brain, followed by endless pain crowding his mind.

He crouched down, covering his head with his hands, not understanding that he had become a zombie, when he shouldn't have any senses.

But now the pain made him want to bang his head against the wall to relieve it; that's what he thought, and that's what he actually did.

It smashed all the surrounding glass with its head, and finally slammed its head against the wall, making a terrible noise.

Lin Hu, upstairs, watched this scene quietly. He knew that the bullet had dissolved into water in his brain and was beginning to corrode it.

Lin Hu glanced at the building across the street and noticed something was going on. When he looked up, he met the gazes of Qin Fulang and Xu Lan.

Both of them had the same shock, anger, and fear in their eyes.

Lin Hu was in a good mood, and he smiled at the two of them, agreeing to wave and greet them.

"You surnamed Lin! What have you done to my son?" Qin Fulang angrily leaned against the window frame and yelled at Lin Hu across the street, his voice deafening, as if he wanted to rush over and tear Lin Hu apart right now.

Whether he was genuinely grateful to Qin Yaowei or simply acting on his own initiative, only he knows.

"Well... do you want to give it a try?" Lin Hu smiled and pointed the gun in his hand at Qin Fulang.

Qin Fulang, who had been shouting, fell silent instantly. Even Xu Lan, who was about to berate Lin Hu, was put to silence and shrank back slightly behind Qin Fulang.

"Just kidding, don't be so tense." Lin Hu put his pistol away, thinking to himself: That was great! I got him!

Qin Fulang looked down at Qin Yaowei, who was lying motionless on the ground, and his heart sank to the bottom.

He glanced at Lin Hu, who wasn't looking at him, and turned to run away.

Lin Hu kept a close eye on the situation, waiting for the other party to react. He was reluctant to use the water gun, firstly because it was durable, and secondly because he only had six bullets left.

He drew his bow, aimed, and fired, hitting the opponent directly in the thigh.

Qin Fulang fell to the ground, and Xu Lan, who had been running away because Qin Fulang had abandoned her, secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

She reached out and supported the other person's arm, helping him up. It took all her strength to lift the fat man, Qin Fulang, to his feet.

When the two turned to look in Lin Hu's direction, they found that Lin Hu had actually joined them.

Qin Fulang had seen Lin Hu flying in the sky during the fight, so he wasn't puzzled as to how Lin Hu got there.

She simply let Xu Lan half-hug and half-support her as she endured the pain and backed away.

Lin Hu was secretly delighted, but he covered the corners of his mouth that were about to turn up and moved closer to the two people in front of him.

For every step they take back, Lin Hu takes a giant leap forward.

"What exactly do you want?" Qin Fulang's face was contorted with pain as he glared at Lin Hu with bloodshot eyes.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that? You were the ones who called me out in the chat area. Wouldn't it be better if I just appeared in front of you now?" Lin Hu smiled and continued walking forward. After saying the last sentence, he had already walked to within a meter of the two of them.

"Don't do anything rash. I know your secret. If you dare to touch me, my men will definitely expose this secret." Qin Fulang was initially a little intimidated, but the more he talked, the more he felt that Lin Hu wouldn't dare to touch him, and he straightened his back.

"Oh~" Lin Hu looked at Qin Fulang suspiciously, then raised an eyebrow and said indifferently, "I don't believe it."

"You! Ouch~" Qin Fulang was so angry that he was about to jump up, but he pulled at his wound and gasped in pain.

Xu Lan remained silent, quietly supporting the other person's body. She was also curious about what this secret was, since even she didn't know it.

The thought that after being married for so long, he had actually been hiding something from her was unbearable.

However, she didn't dare to make a scene, so she could only continue to cling to Qin Fulang's leg, which she wasn't sure could still be considered a strong support.

"You don't believe me? I'll show you the evidence." Qin Fulang said, opening his light screen and performing some operations to open a voice message that Qin Yaoyao had sent not long ago.
