The two men were in a hurry and their faces looked unhappy.
Lu Xingchen quickly followed Gu Yanzhi inside and also notified Gao Dafu.
Once inside the Mermaid Palace, Lu Xingchen and Gu Yanzhi separated, as the two of them would attract too much attention. She sent Lanlan to keep an eye on where the Queen and Prince went.
Soon, Lanlan sent word that the Mermaid Queen and the Mermaid Prince had gone to the inner palace.

Meimei listened and then repeated it to Lu Xingchen.
The merman prince exclaimed incredulously, "Mira is dead? How could she be dead!"
The Mermaid Queen sighed, "Alas, who would have thought that she would become an evil mermaid and be killed."
The mermaid prince asked sadly, "Why did you issue the quest to kill the evil mermaid?"
The Mermaid Queen was enraged: "That evil mermaid has done so many bad things. Whenever she appears, our mermaid race faces annihilation. Of course I must kill her! But I didn't expect it to be Mira..."
In the end, the Mermaid Queen was overcome with grief and her voice trembled with sobs.
