Chapter 58 Hiring a Coolie (1/2)

Chapter 58 Hiring a Coolie

Lu Xingchen raised his eyes and saw a red-billed blue magpie perched on a branch of a big tree in front of him, chattering non-stop.

In short, there was not a single good word out of his mouth, and the previous sentences were repeated endlessly.

Lu Xingchen was so angry that she laughed. It seemed that she had been too kind to her just now!

She drew her bow and drew her arrow.

Upon seeing this, the red-billed blue magpie was so frightened that it fluttered away and flew away.

coward!

Lu Xingchen snorted coldly.

It was inconvenient for her to hold the bow and arrow, so she rummaged through her backpack, drank the water, and took out the remaining strawberries, ready to eat them all.

She had just taken a bite of the strawberry when the red-billed blue magpie returned.

Its mouth remained as foul as ever, and it yelled, "You ugly... oh..."

Suddenly, it saw the strawberries in Lu Xingchen's hand, and was stunned for a moment. Its wings paused and it fell straight down from the air.

When it was almost reaching the ground, it came to its senses, flapped its wings, and flew up again.

Lu Xingchen noticed that a line of water appeared to be drawn from the corner of its mouth...

The red-billed blue magpie flapped its wings, shook off its drool, and said in a coquettish voice, "You...you little fairy!"

Lu Xingchen burst out laughing.

It turns out that this red-billed blue magpie also has a mouth that doesn't stink.

She glanced sideways at the red-billed blue magpie, then tossed another strawberry into her mouth.

The red-billed blue magpie's eyes widened; Lu Xingchen could almost see a thin line of water trickling from beneath its beak...

I'm drooling again!

The red-billed blue magpie probably didn't know much language at the moment. It flew around Lu Xingchen non-stop, saying only one sentence over and over again: "Little fairy!"

It's almost dying of anxiety.

Lu Xingchen asked with a smile: "Want to eat?"

The red-billed blue magpie nodded repeatedly: "Eat! Eat!"

"That won't do!" Lu Xingchen said slowly, "My strawberries are so sweet, I won't give them to people with stinky mouths... or birds with stinky mouths!"

The red-billed blue magpie flew around her, saying, "It doesn't stink, it doesn't stink!"

Lu Xingchen stopped and she found that although this red-billed blue magpie didn't know much language, it seemed to learn very quickly.

She just happened to be at the place where the chicken and rabbit cages were previously placed. She pointed to the cage on the tree and said to the red-billed blue magpie, "You, go and get the cage down for me!"

She wanted to test whether the red-billed blue magpie was smart enough.

The red-billed blue magpie immediately flew up into the tree, hooked its foot onto the chicken coop, and flew down.

The roosters and hens were terrified when they saw it.

Lu Xingchen was surprised. The four hens and one rooster weighed more than ten pounds, and the red-billed blue magpie was able to take down the cage. It must be very strong.

After the red-billed blue magpie put down the chicken coop, it immediately climbed the tree and took down the rabbit cage without Lu Xingchen's instruction.

It flapped its wings and looked at Lu Xingchen eagerly and flatteringly without blinking.

Lu Xingchen's eyes darted around. She pointed to the chicken coop, tossed the strawberry in her hand, and said, "How about this, you hold onto this coop and come with me. When we get to where I'm going, I'll give you a strawberry."

The red-billed blue magpie immediately hooked the chicken coop and flew up, staring at Lu Xingchen, signaling Lu Xingchen to leave quickly.

Lu Xingchen was very satisfied. He actually hired a laborer for just one strawberry.

Still a beautiful coolie, not bad!

Otherwise, it would be tiring for her to carry two cages by herself, although not hard work.

Lu Xingchen picked up the small rabbit cage and led the way.

A red-billed blue magpie followed along carrying a chicken coop.

It’s not too late now. Lu Xingchen calculated that she would be able to arrive at the agreed meeting place at about 5:30.

She walked hurriedly, and after just over ten minutes, suddenly, a round black and white object rolled over and hugged her calf.
