Chapter 99: Circular Cellar, Giant Frog
Lu Xingchen's vision was completely black.
She quickly adapted; the cave entrance was deep and dark under the moonlight.
Lu Xingchen took out a torch, lit it, and shone it down.
It seems quite deep down there.
After thinking for a while, she took out a rope, tied one end of the rope to a big tree nearby, and let the other end go into the cave.
Then, holding the torch in one hand and the rope in the other, she climbed down.
Lu Xingchen estimated that he had climbed about ten meters before finally reaching the bottom.
She jumped, her feet landing on the wet earth.
She shone her torch down and discovered that there was a circular cellar below.
The cellar is not big, only about 100 square meters, and it is very spacious.
The cellar is about three meters high, and there is a passage on the opposite side that is about two meters high and two meters wide, enough for two or three people to pass through at the same time.
After thinking for a moment, Lu Xingchen stuck the torch in the wall, lit another torch, and walked to the entrance of the passage.
After pondering for a moment, she put down the torch, dug a trap about two meters wide and two meters deep at the entrance of the passage, and put in spikes.
She did this because she guessed there would be a fierce battle soon.
Where there is treasure, there are bound to be wild beasts.
This is an iron rule.
Also, most of the beasts in this survival game are huge, so the traps should be dug deeper.
The trap is positioned to block the entrance to the passage, and any wild animals chasing after us will inevitably pass through this area. As soon as they cross, they will fall into the trap.
After digging, Lu Xingchen climbed up, picked up the torch again, and continued forward.
After walking about twenty or thirty meters, the space suddenly widened up, and there was another circular cellar, about a hundred square meters in size. The soil was damp, and there were some scattered stones or weeds on top.
On the other side, there was the same passage as before.
Lu Xingchen thought for a moment, walked to the entrance of the passage, lit a torch, set up a similar trap, and then continued forward.
We didn't encounter anything along the way.
The air underground is a bit polluted.
After walking another twenty or thirty meters along this passage, we arrived at a larger cellar, which was probably about three hundred square meters in size.
Not far away, Lu Xingchen saw a treasure chest.
It is called a treasure chest because it is different from ordinary wooden boxes. It is slightly larger than ordinary wooden boxes and is inlaid with several luminous pearls.
The luminous pearl emitted a faint white light.
Lu Xingchen was shocked. This box was very noble. Needless to say, it was the treasure.
But it went too smoothly!
She didn't dare go over. After thinking for a moment, she picked up a stone from the ground and threw it. The stone hit the box with a "bang".
"Caw!" A loud cry rang out.
"Whoosh!" A giant frog jumped out from behind the box.
The frog was about half a meter tall and a meter long, with round, bulging eyes. It croaked again.
Its body is covered with green and black stripes, with dark green bumps on its back and a white belly, but it lies on the ground, hiding its belly.
"Swoosh!" Suddenly, it spit out a black shadow and attacked Lu Xingchen.
Even though Lu Xingchen was prepared, he was still taken aback.
Why is it a frog? It’s so ugly!
She quickly dodged, flicked her whip, and with a "snap," struck the frog, then turned and ran.
She didn't know what the frog had vomited out just now. When she got closer, she smelled a foul stench.
Could it be Venom?
